F1 WDC Predictions
I’ve finished all my work for today and I’ve found myself calculating some potential championship outcomes based on the races to date.
I did 3 different analyses based on the season as a whole, the most recent 9 races and the most recent 5 races.
Looking at the season as a whole this is the predicted outcome of the drivers championship
Verstappen (424 points)
Norris (352 points)
Leclerc (332 points)
Piastri (319 points)
Sainz (242 points)
Hamilton (236 points)
Russell (192 points)
Perez (171 points)
Based on the results on the last 9 races, things are a little different
Verstappen (414 points)
Norris (367 points)
Piastri (350 points)
Leclerc (330 points)
Hamilton (286 points)
Sainz (247 points)
Russell (226 points)
Perez (171 points)
Then finally the predictions based on the last 5 races
Verstappen (381 points)
Piastri (363 points)
Leclerc (335 points)
Norris (334 points)
Sainz (230 points)
Hamilton (222 points)
Russell (180 points)
Perez (173 points)
All three predict more race wins for Piastri, Norris, Leclerc and Hamilton, with 2/3 predicting a Verstappen race win within the next 7 races and 1/3 predicting a Russell race win.

There’s a potential record break this weekend; most podiums at a circuit.
The current record is 12, and it’s shared by Schumacher (who has 12 podiums at Imola, Barcelona and Montreal) and Hamilton (who currently has 12 in Silverstone)
