AAAND DONE!

Phew, that was a hell of a ride! I learned A LOT during the work process and since the sky's the limit, I don't plan to stop here ^^ I reaaaly want to work on optimizing my pipeline , since this specific animation took an inapropriate amount of time to make(though it worths every second put in it!) "Frankenstein" was a huge inspiration for this year, and I hope to create more stuff related to it in the future!

Some concept art for "The Creature's Tale" Animatic! I wanted to thoroughly explore the Creature's and Victor's designs before jumping straight into action, and I made a deep dive into this era's outfits.

The Creature's was no doubt much more complex due to the amount of layers. And besides, I wanted everything to have sense! F.e., I made his cloak too short and not closing over the chest, since it was sewn for a person with a much smaller frame. Same goes for his coat. I also wanted to emphasize on his "vagabond lifestyle", so I gave him a piece of cloth to wrap around his neck. And even though he's canonicaly superstrong, I decided on giving his skin similar properties as an average human being - so here go foot and hand wrappings, to protect him from the sharp rocks during his ventures in Mer de Glace Victor's, on the other hand, was way easier. The only complicated part was to find a more or less historically accurate outfit that would be appropriate for cool mountain winds AND would have some pockets. Luckily, I stumbled across late XVIII century overcoats, which became my saviours.

Also, gloves and high riding boots were musthaves to protect our boi during the hiking.

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself
