Formatting comics is weird

Most of my life I drew comics on darn-near anything, mostly printerpaper. In middle school, I'd draw them on GRAPH PAPER because it made doing the paneling easier and tidy.

Nowadays, if Im doing a tournament, I still tend to format things as though for print - though I doubt I'll print most of it.

For fan works, most of it is on social media like tumblr or bsky which folks mostly read on mobile... So instead of assuming people are looking at the entire page at once, its often easier to do panel by panel in a long vertical stretch. It changes how you convey and think about time and action. ITS WEIRD. I know thats the norm for most webcomics, though much of the ones I still enjoy (tigertiger, unsounded, wilde life) still use a print page-like format.

You're very good at character and dialogue, I can see and hear each of them talking in the way you've written them. Be proud of your hard work.

Thank you!! I can't tell you how many times I've edited and tweaked it to get it just right. Even when coloring, I trimmed or adjusted things..

aaaand that's a wrap. Been sitting on that story since 2020 - kept revisiting and gutting the script because every time I came back I didnt like what I wrote lol.

What happens next? Well... That reunion got a teensy bit postponed.

I don't think I have it in me to rewrite all of SL and DF, but I'd keep the character end-states more or less the same as in canon.

TWW is very promising for a lot of reasons; I think I want its whole story before I pick at a sequel. I unno! Should be fun! I did already draw this canon interaction that I think makes much more sense with Light Between Shadows. yes indeedy
