Okay so who would want a youtube channel about plurality and systems but like- fun.

Not the usual:

But like actual fun content!! Positive and entertaining, with some educational stuff sprinkled in. Plural people want to watch fun videos for them too!! We're think of things like this:

- Fun activities to do with headmates

- reacting to my headmates fanfics of my source

- plural adjacent media recommendations

But also some commentary and help vids

- plural news: a monthly look at the community

- systok and what's wrong with it

- etc.

Bc who doesn't like a bit of gossip ;3

Endogenic plurality is a real phenomenon. It has been studied by multiple psychologists, psychiatrists and anthropologists. Not all of them have used those words, but it has been repeatedly acknowledged by professionals that people can have multiple distinct identity states, or have multiple self-conscious dissociative parts, or whatever words they like to use, without trauma or a disorder.

There is an as of yet unpublished FMRI study into tulpa systems where it has been shown that different parts of the brain activate when a tulpa is possessing a hand as opposed to when the host is simply imagining that someone else is moving them.

But this really shouldn't need to be published for endogenic systems to be believed about our experiences.

Nobody demands brain scans of people with aphantasia to recognize that it is a real psychological phenomenon.

When endogenic systems describe our experiences, it should be trusted that those experiences are real. That we aren't faking or lying. And that what we have experienced is not simply a belief.

I mean, the highlighted portion. I have absolutely said that spaces shouldn't allow these bigots into them, and stand by that.

I think Okiimii might be mixing up what I said with Problemaddtic's old post that's been referenced in syscourse a few times.

In a sense, I do sort of agree with that part of Problemaddtic's post though, but I think we need to make a bit of a split between "what people deserve" and "what should happen to people." Because these things aren't necessarily the same thing.

I would argue that objectively, murderers "deserve" death because they killed people, but that killing people as punishment is bad for a healthy society. It traumatizes the people responsible for killing them, costs more than prison, and contributes to a culture that considers killing okay under the right circumstances which can increase the number of murderers out there.

So even though I don't think I said what is being claimed I said, I do agree with the sentiment in a way.

What sysmeds do is spread a dangerous narrative that there is a slew of "fake" systems out there. This narrative that they contribute to will get more systems fakeclaimed when they seek help, including by their doctors.

It is therefore "fair" to say that sysmeds "deserve" to have their doctors not believe them because the actions of sysmeds will cause others to suffer that fate.

But it's also something that is harmful if it happens.

I would argue that sysmeds shouldn't suffer this even if they deserve to.
