After redbubble took down my “copyrighted” work I reuploaded the Wanheda design that was the most popular of all I had on there. I don’t know if they’ll take it down again eventually or not but if by any chance you still want it now’s the time to get it! (x)

Luna scene in 314 in comparison to catholic Eucharist
Adding onto the post about religious/cultural appropriation I made before, another thing from 314 has been pointed out to me.
In 314, Luna is wearing a red stole. Stoles are reserved for priests; the liturgical color red symbolizes blood, fire and the Holy Spirit and is only worn on specific days, for example Good Friday (Jesus death), Pentecost (which celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles), on holidays related to martyrs etc.
Tumblr media
The handwashing ritual is part of the of the offertory (which is the first part of the liturgy of the Eucharist). Before the consecration of bread and wine, the priest will step to the side of the altar, where an altar servant will pour water over his hands and then offer a towel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It also looks like Luna might be praying over the wine (???) which is exactly what a priest would do during consecration. And then she uses that same wine to drug and knock out Clarke and her friends?
Tumblr media
There is also the part where she says: “From water we are born, to water we return” which is an obvious parallel to “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust”, spoken during a burial ceremony.
Tumblr media
Again as in the previous episode, as someone religious, I was quite uncomfortable while watching this scene and I know for a fact that I wasn't the only one.
But whether you’re a religious person (a Christian) or not, at least we can all agree that Jason isn't capable of making a single thing in this show original at all.

Religious Appropriation in The100
As a religious person, I am actually really not okay with that The 100 has been doing lately and I’m surprised no one else has talked about it yet. There are a few things I wanna talk about so I’ll just get right into it.
The whole image of spreading the chip/getting people to take it is such a clear mimic of the communion in Christianity. Jason even stated so in one of his tweets:
Tumblr media
I don’t want to go into details of what a communion is (if you don’t know, wikipedia is your friend) but I was put off right from the start. But then it kept going and it kept pushing that clear image each time. Chips are part of ALIE, the “god” in this universe, and once you take it, you get to see her and she leads you, there is no death and anything material doesn’t matter, right? Why is something so sacred in one religion being used as inspiration to show your audience a mind controlling AI who forces them to do things against their will, erases their memories, brainwashes them and tortures them until they submit to her? Don’t you think that might be sending a slightly wrong message?
And then episode 312 opens with grounders being crucified. You’re telling me that all of the grounders completely forgot everything from history of humankind, but somehow kept the “tradition” of crucifying people? Or was it just something ALIE inspired? But even before that, the grounders crucified 3 ark guards (interesting how it was three of them, huh?) in 203, Jasper in 102 was tied up and hung on a tree in similar fashion, Lincoln (basically embodiment of a peace messenger in s1) was both chained up and lashed and had a nail pushed through his hand by Bellamy in 107.
Tumblr media
I would also like to mention the purposeful change in Kane’s appearance to make him look “Jesus-like” with the longer hair and a beard. He didn’t have a beard up on the Ark nor on the ground in s2. It happened in s3, specifically when Kane went into foreign lands to spread peace. The scene of him being chained to a cross and then explicitly and graphically crucified was definitely not something for a younger audience to watch (you know, the one that CW targets?). Not to mention the fact that in order to save his people/Abby he had to give himself over to a higher power aka ALIE aka god in this show. And honestly in this scene I was just waiting for someone to put a crown of thorns on his head. (Also notice how the nail goes through his wrist? That is actually how Jesus was crucified, or at least how they used to do it, so they get bonus points for accuracy and making it even worse.)
Tumblr media
Another thing, which I won’t focus too much on since I don’t know much about but I’m willing to listen to people who do, is Lexa’s forehead piece. Some people said it reminded them of a bindi. The fact that the symbol is a blatant copy of dharmachakra aka Wheel of Dharma, a sacred symbol of Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism, is also an issue. It used to be excused since Lexa always spoke so much about reincarnation so I/we might have assumed there was a direct tie to Buddhism or the forehead piece had more to it but after the “big” AI reveal, it doesn’t make much sense anymore.
Tumblr media
As far as I know, Jason is Jewish. (Do correct me if I’m wrong!) So I’m really wondering why is it okay, for a non Christian (and non Buddhist/Hinduist), to take these images from a certain religion(s) he’s not a part of, and turn them into something evil. I understand there are Biblical parallels in plenty of media and some of it is inspired by Biblical stories, but this is slightly out of hand in my opinion. There are many more parallels in s2 with the Old Testament which we talked about before and can all be found here (specifically Jaha/Moses, ALIE being the Eve and Lilith Archetype, reincarnation). Not to mention Clarke’s “let my people go” attitude in s2 but we never posted about that.
This isn’t just some small detail, these are crucial parts of Christianity that he’s using as inspiration to portray the biggest evil in season 3, and is possibly trying to compare ALIE to God. Which, I understand the idea of showing an AI as a god in modern day time, but targeting a specific religion seems a bit too much.
I might be nitpicking, but like I said, as someone who is religious, I never take things or jokes about religion lightly and in that sense, the latest episode was really uncomfortable for me to watch. So I just wanted to share my thoughts and see if there might be someone out there who agrees with me. Or maybe @the100writers would like to discuss it too?

when/where in the tv show was murphy raped? I don't recall
In episode 310 Murphy was forced to wear a collar with a chain, Ontari took her clothes off and literally dragged him by the chain to the bed. Ontari pressuring him into sleeping with her is a clear abuse of her power (and his lack of) even after he repeatedly refused and even said he has a girlfriend.
Actual quotes by him when being chained up:
Oh, no, no, no.
Easy there, big fella.
It’s not necessary, right?
Then to Ontari:
You want to explain this?
Wait.
There’s somebody else, ok?
I’m sorry.
Oh, the things I do to survive.
In addition, in episode 312, Murphy slept with Emori while she was chipped (no actual consent from her since ALIE is forcing them to do things that have all been clearly against their will so far).
As well as episode 313 when Abby forced herself on Kane (again, after ALIE’s explicit prompting to do so) but he pushed her away.
The writers also retweeted this during the episode, the tweet was removed once Eric Goldman deleted it (admitting he was “forced to do so” when fans kept telling him how wrong it is to joke about rape. You’d think a grown man would know that.)
Tumblr media
In conclusion, The 100 promotes rape, non consensual sex, and brushes it off as a joke. @the100writers explain this please?

Potential trigger warnings for 311
Just a summary but this is all from the promos so it might be even worse :
Raven tied up to a bed while trashing around and screaming
Raven has bloody mouth, looks like someone punched her
Raven seems to be fighting ALIE in her head so this one might be really triggering for some people, it’s really distressing
Raven/ALIE guilt trips Clarke
Clarke yelling at Raven (or ALIE) and saying she’s “done” and they’re going to “fry her”
suicide attempt - Raven trying to crack her head open to get rid of ALIE
rumors of Bellamy choking Raven
Clarke is holding a blade and it appears like she’s going to cut Raven
more implied sex between Murphy and Ontari
according to Kim Shumway the episode will be "bloody and harrowing"
reminder that Javi explicitly stated in a post to stop watching in case you were triggered before (even before 310) since it’s only going to get worse
Not quite a trigger but there are promo pics of Bellamy pointing a gun at Niylah so if you’re tired of wlw being threatened by men with guns, there’s that.
It appears that the whole episode consists of Raven basically being tortured, both physically and mentally because of ALIE in her head, so if you don’t want to watch a WOC being in even more pain, I advise you to stay away from this.
I'm not an expert on triggers since most of them don't affect me but I just want everyone to be safe. If you think I should include something else, please let me know!

310 summary -trigger warnings
Please for the love of everything don’t watch this. Some of the triggering things that happened (I probably missed some):
Octavia beating the crap out of Bellamy
Bellamy turning on Octavia AGAIN
torture and torture and more torture for Raven
ALIE forcing all of Raven’s bad memories (of torture) to come back to her until she’s screaming in pain and “submits” to her
ALIE taking full control of Raven’s brain
Jackson drugging Abby and tying her up to a chair
Jaha forcing Abby to take the CoL pill
when she refuses, ALIE in Raven’s brain makes her slice both of her wrists open and doesn’t let Abby save her until she swallowed the chip.
Clarke still hasn’t showed up on screen.
Ontari just gauged some guy’s eyes out - very graphic
Ontari talks about being taken away from her family as a child by queen Nia,and talks about how she was psychologically abused by her
Ontari basically sexually assaulted Murphy by abusing her power while he was chained up (literally) - they were in Lexa’s room so extra warning on that since it’s implied the had sex in her bed
Jasper drugging Raven (in attempt to save her)
Jasper puts the blame about everything on Clarke despite her being on screen for literally 8 seconds
The preview only showed even more torture for Raven and it looks even worse. It appears like someone beat her up and she (Raven/ALIE) and Clarke yell at each other. Also tw: suicide attempt.
@the100writers retweeted a rape joke regarding Murphy. (link)
Please stay away from it if you feel you might be triggered. Or even if not, this show doesn’t deserve to be watched. It’s disgusting.

Before Mount Weather was destroyed, were all of the historic paintings (Mona Lisa, Roman sculptures etc..) and the grand piano and such- removed by the people of Arkadia? It would such if all the historic artifacts were destroyed in the self-destruction of Mount Weather.
If you rewatch 301 you can see that they moved most of the things to Arkadia.
Lincoln and Abby talked a lot about supply runs but the Grounders weren’t happy about those so they were moving things slowly. The piano that Shawn Mendes’ character played was in the hangar in Arkadia as well as that chandelier and probably some of the paintings.
Tumblr media
You can see Gina giving that Iliad book to Bellamy and them talking how she was on the supply run too.
Tumblr media
I do believe they were mostly taking thins that would help them survive and adapt rather than paintings but yes, most of those historical artifacts were unfortunately still destroyed in the explosion. At least the ones we see in 303 when Jasper basically wrecks the place where they were being kept.

Titus - fleimkepa
I wanted to write something about the 309 from the clip we saw at WonderCon. If you haven’t seen it yet then here’s a warning, this post contains spoilers from 309.
I still stand behind my ‘Clarke will become the commander’ theory that you can find here, but I want to discuss Titus in this one.
Titus says he’s still alive/free because he is the only fleimkepa left. I was thinking about it a lot and I’ve come up with some questions that I would love to hear your opinions and ideas about:
Why is he the only fleimkepa?
I would consider that he’s special but from our knowledge only nightbloods are and he doesn’t appear to be actually different, so why him?
Why aren't they teaching/training more fleimkepas if they're that important?
Who gives him the authority to take care of the commander?
Is it a bloodline thing?
If so why doesn’t he have children?
If he can’t/won’t have children, again, why aren't they teaching/training more fleimkepas since he’s bound to die one day?
If he is so important to the commander, (i.e. no one else can be a fleimkepa so he alone extracts the chip etc.) why wasn’t he anywhere near her in s2?
If he is there to serve the commander who seems to be above everyone because of the AI, why was he so disobedient and tried to force his teachings instead of listening to the AI host that he basically worships?
Why does he wear a robe? Aren’t grounders warriors that try to be practical and ready to fight at any second?
Does he get to get away with everything just because he’s the last one so no one will murder him?
Bonus round:
Why is that AI even important?
What is it its purpose?
Titus said it basically just amplifies who and what we are but I don’t see why it is necessary, especially if not everyone will blindly follow the commander?
Seeing Ontari’s personality, we can assume she wouldn’t be a good commander so why would AI give her the power?
If it actually doesn’t “attach” to her and accept her as a host, what happens then since she literally slaughtered all the remaining living nightbloods?
Please, let me know if you have more questions and find more plot holes. Or if you actually have a plausible theories about any of these. I’m ready to hear them!

hi! will you be posting a theory regarding clarke becoming the commander any time soon? i think I remember you mentioning it once;; not to rush you or anything but im very curious ^^ thanks!
I was going to say no but you’re being so polite that I’ll just give it to you right now. I (admin L) am managing the blog on my own for now and I’m getting slightly more busy these days so I don’t have that much time for “big” theories. But I will give you a short summary of why I think it’ll happen:
First, we didn’t see much of Ontari. If she was to become a commander that would be a commander for long, I think we would’ve seen more of her or learned more about her. I just can’t picture her being in the show for too long for some reason. But that might be just me being weird. Then again my sixth sense is usually right when it comes to this show.
Another reason is the nightblood. Most people will say she can’t be the commander because she isn’t one, but that’s exactly why I think she will.
Remember that briefcase where ALIE stored the nightblood?
Tumblr media
We can see it in the escape pod in Titus’s lair when Murphy was trying to escape. They wouldn’t have shown it if it wasn’t going to be used later on. This is the main reason I think it will happen. You literally don’t need any other hints besides this one.
Tumblr media
Other than that, the finale spoilers are a dead giveaway. I’ll post about that under the cut in case anyone still hasn’t seen them.
They’re fighting ALIE in CoL in the finale and literally only Clarke is there, and others who have taken the pill. Now, I don’t think Clarke has taken it because she is the only one who seems “aware” of herself and others around her don’t seem to notice her at all. On top of that, she is the only one who can see Lexa, who in this case is the spirit of the commander. Why else would Clarke be able to see both Lexa and CoL if not for the fact that she took the AI/became the commander? Also, Clarke becoming the commander is probably something they could work with for S4 after ALIE’s been defeated.
That’s what I think. And I think I’m right but feel free to let me know if you disagree or have a different theory!

I know I said 4 days ago that I would continue to run this blog, but now I don’t feel that that’s the case. I’m very, very sorry to those that I may be disappointing with this. I don’t mean to jerk you all around.
I’ve seen a lot of things that have made me uncomfortable this weekend (name calling, threats, etc.) and in the end it just doesn’t feel worth it to me. I’m unhappy too, but I guess I expected more from everyone as a community. A year ago when I agreed to join this blog, it was because this was something I had fun doing. I LOVED interacting with all of our followers, answering questions, writing theories, doing rewatches. I had such a good time. But looking at things right now...this just isn’t something I want to be a part of anymore. It isn’t fun for me, and I don’t have the time to put into it that I would like. I hope you can understand.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. And thanks to Admin L, especially.

So based off of what scenes are left in the promo... Which do you think we'll definitely see in 3x08?
We know that 3.08 “Terms and Conditions” is the one that will be missing Clarke, so we won’t be seeing the scene where Jasper confronts her or the Bellarke hug. This is probably also the episode Octavia misses, unless she arrives at Arkadia at some point. I don’t think that’s very likely. Since the episode is going to focus only on the storylines that are in play at Arkadia, we can rule out the scene of Ontari. If Octavia doesn’t arrive in Arkadia before the end of the episode, we also know we won’t be seeing the scene where she’s punching Bellamy or the scene where she’s holding Raven down.
That leaves us with:
Jasper driving the Rover through Arkadia’s gates
Tumblr media
Monty saying “We are your people. We survive together.”
Tumblr media
Alie with a grounder (?) and Sinclair
Tumblr media
Kabby kiss
Tumblr media
Pike holding a gun
Tumblr media
Lincoln fighting Arkadia guards
Tumblr media
Monty firing a gun
Tumblr media
Of those remaining scenes from the series trailer, I only feel confident that the scene with Pike holding a gun and the scene where Lincoln is fighting the guards will appear next episode. It doesn’t look like we’ll be hitting on any or much Alie stuff from the episode promo.
Thank you for the question.

Also, what if the "Commander's spirit" is actually the AI v2.0, but way less aggressive on the neuro system than ALIE (so no mind control). Nightbloods carry the predisposition and during the conclave v2 gets downloaded from the previous Heda and uploaded into the next. The nightmare Lexa had was the AI predicting events just like ALIE does. There's a reason why it's not really reincarnation and Heda can be removed from power by vote, the data can be dl even if the Commander isn't dead. -Denise
This was buried in the askbox from 5 days ago. I just want to post it to say that Denise nailed it.

I agree the death was done horribly and killed off one of the few LGBT characters on the show, but is it still defined as queer baiting? Because the ship was canon, it was for a long time, and even though the death was unjust, Lexa was a part of a canon queer relationship. Not questioning you or anything just genuinely asking so I can rant about this properly
It’s queerbating because she got killed 5 minutes after she had sex with another woman. It’s queerbating because if Jason knew he would have to kill her, he didn’t need to make them fall in love again within 6 episodes. It’s queerbating because it was done so cheaply that “lesbian dies by a stray bullet’ is literally a trope. It’squeerbating because he gave us hope and took it the most cheap, brutal way. It’squeerbating because they became popular during the hiatus because the whole gay community rooted for him and he got a huge following because of it.
This hate isn’t aimed at you, I am just genuinely angry because I’ve watched this same scene over and over. He was so proud of himself because of the “representation” and yet he does what every other show did. And sure, Clarke is there and she’s representation, but what does it say when you finally have a bisexual character in a happy (sort of) relationship with a lesbian only to have her die as soon as you sleep together? This is so damaging for the gay community that I can’t even begin to explain how crushed they feel after they get punched in the gut like this. -L

Reblogging this again just because.
ALIE 2.0 & The Nightbloods
2 months ago we predicted that Polis is the 13th station. Now it’s been confirmed and we also know that ALIE 2.0 is somewhere in Polis. And yeah, we did analyze Titus’ room and most of you will say that Titus is totally hiding the code in his lair. But I’ll tell you that you’re wrong and here’s why.
If ALIE 2.0 code was on Polaris then so was Becca - her creator. She was most likely creating the code to either defend herself (and the whole human kind) from ALIE or to fight her. Even ALIE confirmed that Becca did not feel safe and she knew what was going to happen or had already witnessed what had happened.
Raven:  Why would there need to be a version 2? Was there something wrong with you? (…) Programmers and engineers generally don’t go to a version 2 unless there’s–
But Becca didn’t manage to reach her goal on time, most likely because they crashed down to Earth. So she had to keep the code safe somewhere in hope that someone in the future would be able to finish what she started. And she had to make sure that those people were safe and immune to ALIE and her City of Light. Do you see where I’m going with this yet?
Exhibit A:  episode 3.04
Clarke: I’ve never seen blood that color before. Lexa: Goes back to the first Commander.
Exhibit B: episode 3.06
ALIE: It will likely be a dormant program. That or an unfinished one.
Exhibit C: Lexa’s tattoo of the infinity symbol is incomplete = loading?
Tumblr media
Exhibit D:  Titus saying weird stuff and being weird in general.
Tumblr media
If you’re still not getting where I’m going with this, let’s put it this way: Becca was the first “commander” and ALIE 2.0 code is written in the nightbloods’ blood. The code is there to either destroy ALIE or upgrade her so that it changes her core command, which is why she wants to find it so desperately. And I’m sure that Titus, an embodiment of the Old Guard, knows more than anyone about this but he has no actual power, which is why he’s so determined to protect Lexa at all costs. Their goal is finishing that infinity symbol, the goal is making ALIE 2.0 upgrade complete.
For the sciency explanation of the nightblood, we could say that it’s nanobots but that wouldn’t make sense in the bigger picture because nightbloods are born, not made. It’s most likely that the code is in a form of a virus. There are numerous latent viruses (ones showing no symptoms nor causing harm to the living host organism) that can also be inherited. Viruses also contain RNA (ribonucleic acid) or in cases DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) which is able to transfer codes/information in form of proteins.
This is the reason why only nightbloods are worthy enough of becoming the next commander and why they lead and protect their people. I’m not even going to deny the fact that Lexa is having nightmares and seeing them as warnings because chances are she could literally feel the threat in her blood at this point since more and more people are entering the City of Light and it’s becoming bigger with each person and ALIE’s influence is growing with it as well.

Hey, first: love your blog!!! Second: I want to know what you guys think of Ontari? I want to be wrong but I think she'll be the next commander. I think maybe the ambassadors will call a "no head no moe" again and this time Lexa will be remove from her position.
I actually agree. Ever since s2 ended I had some weird feeling that Lexa would stop being the commander (I even put it on my personal the 100 bingo card) but that she wouldn’t necessarily die in that process for some reason. Which is weird because we have so much talk about reincarnation and death but that’s just making me think more and more that something else will happen this time.
I’m not sure about how it will all go and whether the other clans would just accept some from the Ice Nation who’s never been properly trained in Polis, as their leader. It’s probably going to be something we’re not expecting but I’m personally super excited to see more Ontari. I definitely think there’s much more to her than the glimpse we’ve seen in 3.04.

How much do we know about Arcadia's water supply?
Water, okay. So they seem to have a well inside their camp in Arkadia, which I assume was drilled into an aquifer so they probably have enough of it for all personal needs.
Tumblr media
They also seem to have crops and an established irrigation system which we also see in some scenes but I put some BTS close-ups right under the cut below!
Other than that, I assume they’d need more of it if they were going to plant corn and soybeans like Hannah said, and that’s probably why they were going near the river to get water samples. And also why they attacked that village.
Was that what you were looking for? Cause that’s all I got. It’s weird but I am glad that people are curious about all sorts of things about this show and ask us about it. But I guess that’s what we’re here for.
