So wait are livestock guardian dogs to their flocks like… Clark Kent among the residents of Smallville? He’s been here since he was a baby, we all know him, and he’s… generally one-of-us shaped, uh, approximately. And then when something goes wrong he suddenly leaps into action and does some terrifying impossible shit none of us could do. And then comes back home and settles in like nothing happened and he’s one of us again.

MANOR DRONES AS SLUGCATS !!!

so my idea is that the trio were normal slugcats, seen as outdated purposed organisms that were used to clean pipes but eventually evolved into their own species without much of a purpose to the ancients. at this point of time, the iterators were just recently built and the ancients were moving and adjusting to life atop the cities.

^(attempt at ancient tessa, who didn't conform to most ancient culture and had a big interest in purposed organisms, to the point where she would rather interact with creatures instead of her own kind)

tessa, her ancient name im still trying to think of, often bonded with local fauna and over time ended up keeping 4 slugcats (our trio plus cyn) as pets since they were either too domesticated or physically unable to live in the wild. still thinking of a transition from this timeline to when the trio were turned into vampiric slugcats and how I could incorporate the gala massacre into this (or whether i even should?) Cyn would be the first slugcat infected with a unique strain of rot developed by a turned-sentient rot that has taken over and corrupted the iterator tessa lives on (jcjenson being the iterator lol) this entire idea is still wip so some things may or may not change

Danny and Cujo.

I haven't really seen anyone talk much about Cujo's relationship with Danny. Granted we don't see Cujo but in a couple episodes, but from what we do see, Danny is the only one that Cujo interacts with that he isn't aggressive towards, and the only one Cujo is protective over.

So I've got this little scenario in my head in which one day Cujo randomly shows up with Danny's logo on his collar. But in order to keep everyone (especially Valerie) from seeing it and holding him responsible for the dog's collateral damage, he keeps ripping it off. Only for a new one to reappear every time he does.

Imagining Danny having his closet stuffed full of dog tags from all his attempts to get rid of them just tickles me. Like if some poor unsuspecting soul like Jazz one day decided to open the door, just to get completely buried under them.
