Chef Zhan has been closed for a couple of months for refurbishment. Went past today and they’re close to reopening. Currently working on a flash new sign.

Exciting times at Turf Moor.
Burnley are said to be in advanced talks with Chelsea for striker Armando Broja, a 23 year old English born Albanian international.
A deal has been agreed with Chelsea. Down to the player now, who is said to be keen on the 5-year contract on offer.
It’s going to cost the Clarets £25m, easily their most expensive signing. That’s the price of goals these days.

Today’s Wordle.
Good example of process of elimination.
Sometimes the words that take more guesses are more enjoyable.

I’ve followed Burnley since 1962. That’s a long time.
This is Willie Irvine who was my favourite Burnley player when I was growing up. He scored a club record 97 league goals in 148 appearances. He also scored after just 20 minutes of his debut against Arsenal, a game I was at.
He passed away today.

This is the Graf von Faber Castell Tamitio fountain pen.
Very nice indeed. Writes about as smooth as I’m going to get I think.

Spot of lunch following a hectic week - car broke down, ac unit packed in, toilet sprung a leak.
Spaghetti Carbonara and ice cream at Don Carlos.
Car fixed, ac unit replaced and leak sorted.

If I wasn’t a Burnley fan I would support Manchester City.
For the last few seasons City have won the PL title four times. The one player I always admired from that time was defender Kyle Walker. Solid, good in the air, good passer, he’s a tremendous player.
At 35 City have decided that he’s too old for their needs and so at the end of his contract he has moved on, despite him being a recent England international.
I’m over the moon that Burnley have snapped him up - £5m on a two year deal.
Can’t tell you how chuffed I am and what a good signing this is.

I’ve got completely out of the habit of writing with a pen.
I have a few decent fountain pens but I’m not really happy with any of them. The one I like the most is in need of a service but try finding somewhere within a 100km radius that can do it.
So I ordered this, a Faber-Castell Hexo with medium nib.
Only €20 and has a reputation for being a smooth writer.
We’ll see.
Nice pen though.
