Alien Fantasy-File 7: Feathered Dance
Tumblr media
Tilah brushed his feathers with his beak, his eyes darting around in anticipation. His irises fully locked on the fields below the bridge where the humans had set up their base.
"You know, Sir. There are still candidates looking for a mate back at the village. I'm sure if you try hard enough-" Tilah raised his feathers. He did not want to hear it. He had already made up his mind. With a spread of his wings, the Avian took flight. The other member that accompanied him looking exasperated. just what was it that most of the tribe saw in those humans?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tilah perched himself on top of a tree located across the human's base. He had been observing the human tribe and had begun to pinpoint at what point the humans would come out to explore. Sure enough, he saw a group of tree slowly approaching his direction. Over the past few months they had roaming around in their forests. Clad in their white coats and carrying weird devices on their bodies. Tilah's eyes followed the group as began brushing their hands against the bushes. Plucking the spicy fruit their planet was known for. His eyes landed on one particular human. A human female with long curly red hair and spots in the middle of her face.
Tilah watched as the 3 humans consumed the fruit they had plucked. The two humans accompanying her began coughing violently and trashing around. Clearly unable to handle the spicyness of the fruit. Which didn't particularly shock Tilah. Few could claim to be able to consume the fruit that the Gods of the sky had planted there specifically for them. But his eyes remained on the red haired female. Few could claim to be able to consume the fruit. She might just be one of the few. As unlike her companions, she was handling the taste of the fruit just fine. She bore her teeth at her companions, a display that admittedly served to intimidate Tilah.
"(!gnihton si sihT .seissup fo hcnub a era syug uoY !sirhC suseJ)" The human female said, Opening her palm and slamming it against the back of one of her companions. Was it some kind of display of dominance? clearly she must be some kind of superior if she was able to consume their fruit without feeling pain.
....And that's something that Tilah really liked.
Tilah continued to observe the group. Eventually they seemed to separate. Tilah carefully followed the human female. She was in front of a river, filling some kind of container and shaking it. Tilah clicked his beak. She was alone. No other members of his tribe. This was his moment! It should be successful now! Tilah spread his wings and flew towards the human female. Whooshing right past her and perching himself up a boulder in the middle of the river. The human female locked eyes with him. Her eye brows were raised. Tilah didn't know what the meant. He had been observing the humans face in order to figure out how they feel. But their face contorted in so many different ways. One thing is for sure. She was starring at him intensely. he had her attention.
"(.iH .niaga uoy s'tI .hO)" She said. Raising her hand and waving it. Tilah didn't understand what she was saying. But he had seen her perform that waving gesture with her other humans. it seemed to be some kind of greeting. So at the very least, she didn't seem to see him as hostile. Which was good. Maybe this time he would have success. He crouched down and spread his wings. Soon, he began swaying his body side to side while vibrating his wings. Creating a bunch of patterns with them. This dance was well known amongst his tribe. For it is how males would court a female. Females of his tribe seemed to have a preference for the more abstract patterns, which he suspected might've been why he often struggled to find a mate.
He had done this dance in front of the human several times in the hopes that she would accept him. But he still couldn't figure out whether or not she was receptive of his feelings. She didn't try to scare him off or anything. In fact, each time he did so, she always seemed entrance. Maybe if he did it a few more times he would finally....
"(ecnad ytterp a hcus s'tahT)" The human female muttered. Her eyes remained on his feathers. As he wanted them to.
"(".naem ot desoppus si siht tahw aedi on evah llits i .ydaerla rotalsnart taht hsinif dluow yeht hsiw yllaeR)" She said. Rubbing her face. her eyebrows contorting once more. Did she...did she not like it? She still wasn't trying to scare him off or anything. She seemed to look around, as if she was searching for someone. She seemed to lift her shoulders up for a bit and began stepping towards the river. She then did something Tilah hadn't seen her do before.
A weird noise seemed to emit from her coat as she pulled down the silver object. Soon enough, her entire coat was down. She then began removing her footwear. Tilah ceased his dancing as he observed her. She was now standing in front of him in nothing but a small suit made out of some material that clung to her skin. It was blue with white lines and had something written on it in letters Telah couldn't understand.
Was this...Was this a sign? Was she reciprocating his feelings? Tilah stood there in a trance as he got to see more of her skin. skin that used to be covered by that coat of hers. She slowly submerged herself in the river and began swimming towards him. His eyes followed the human until she grabbed the boulder he was perched on and climbed it. Once she reached the top, She sat next to him, Rubbing her hands against her legs to remove any pebbles that had clung to her skin.
"(.uoy ot esolc SIHT nettog ev'i emit tsrif eht si siht kniht I....heH)" The female said as she held out her hand. Tilah's feather shivered. He slowly extended his wing towards the human female's hand until eventually...he grabbed the hand.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, you're back sir. How did it go?" Ohdi asked. Tilah landed and marched to the middle of the room. His tail feather swishing from side to side.
"Did she deny your advances once more? I think perhaps it might be time for you to just seek out one of our tribe mem-" Ohdi couldn't finish the sentence. Tilah spread his wings and began chirping happily.
"Sir?"
"I'm making progress, Ohdi! It's taking a while, put patience is a virtue! It seems today i've gotten closer and closer to having her as my mate!" Tilah chirped.
"I did the dance once more and she responded by shedding her coat and swimming across the river to reach me!"
"And then...?" Ohdi asked.
"She let me me hold her hand. She then leaned her body against mine. It felt pretty nice." Tilah said with a shiver from his feathers.
"So...you haven't mated yet."
"No, But this is progress! Oh, i'm so excited! Imagine how the tribe is gonna react to this! Tilah of the Chirs'toh clan! First member of the tribe to have a human as his mate!" Tilah said with excitement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You went swimming there with one of those things there to see you?" Sammy asked. Jackie tossed the towel she had been using on the table, her swimsuit having dried somewhat.
"I don't see the problem. It's been approaching me and doing that weird dance ever since we landed here. It's not like it tried to attack me. It even let me approach it." Jackie responded.
"Well, That's definitely more concrete than my interaction." Benjamin chimed in, taking a sip from his beer bottle.
"What happened then?"
"Well. I was exploring the oaks south from here and i came across one of them. While i was collecting some samples, It began...i don't know...prancing around me and singing. It continued following me and doing that while was collecting samples. At one point, i tried to gently push it away but it responded by crouching down and shaking it's tail at me.
"......You guys don't suppose that was them trying to...y'know..." Sammy asked. His fellow scientists looked at him deadpanned.
"Buddy! They look like those bird people from that adventure game my son plays." Benjamin responded.
"I'm just saying. Even before we started space travelling, An avian wanting to bone a human wasn't exactly unheard of..."
"Yeah, Ok. I'm off to hit the showers." Jackie responded. This conversation was going in a direction she did not want to stick around for.

Alien Fantasy-File 6: They're firing at us!
Tumblr media
"Would anyone care to explain why we haven't gotten any reports back yet?! " The monarch shouted. Their bioluminescent body glowing with rage.
"We're trying to contact them your highness, but they're not answering back!" The communication unit replied. The entire crew felt a sense of dread as they saw the Monarch's glow intensify. They slammed one of their appendages against their seat. This was supposed to be a simple mission.
"Earth"...the Human's home planet. It was ripe of resources. Such a rich planet inhabited by a species that, in comparison to most of the Galaxy, was pretty weak and primitive. It was supposed to be a simple mission. Invade earth, display their might, ensure that the humans surrendered and let themselves be consumed by the light of the Mongeath Empire.  It should've been simple. And yet, hours had passed. Not a single report back. Until now that is...
"Your majesty! We're getting a transmission!" The communication unit said. Quickly answering the call. The screen beamed to light, showing a captain that who's light seemed dim in comparison to the monarch.
"Ahh, Officer Ecta. I trust that you have good news to report? have the humans finally realized that resistance is futile?" The monarch asked. The Officer looked back at his crew, all of whom seemed to barely glow.
"Your majesty. I...." They stuttered. Barely capable of glowing brighter. An officer like them had to be brave in the face of their monarch. Dimming meant weakness. "We couldn't get past the clouds of their planet."
A moment of silence seemed to hover through the mother ship. everything within proximity of the monarch seemed to dim in anticipation for what was about to happen next.
"Care to repeat that, Officer?"  The monarch hissed. Not believing what they were hearing right now. Another member of the Officer's squad piped up.
"Your Majesty. What our captain is trying to say is. It seems the humans were anticipating our arrival." The Monarch's glowing appendages curled in confusion. They knew they were coming?
"So why haven't we gotten word of their surrender yet?" The monarch asked.
"We haven't able to launch our attack yet, your majesty. We haven't even been able to get past the clouds." The officer reluctantly reported. A loud hissing sound seemed to come from the monarch, causing everyone in the mothership to freeze.
"Explain...." The monarch demanded.
"Right as our fleet began to close in to breach the clouds, several of hour ships got struck by explosions." The officer explained.
"They were everywhere, Your majesty. They all had different colors, Different sizes. The sky was full of them. Some our ships ended up getting shot down while trying to breach their clouds." One their crewmembers added.
"So you couldn't get past their cannons?" The monarch asked.
"I dare not say they are cannons your highness. We don't have a good view of what's going on down there. We've fallen back and retreated, but they still seem to be firing." The officer explained. "We have some recordings if you wish to see them."
The monarch looked at their officer with frustration, their glow intensifying so much.
"Show me..."
The screen changed visuals, showing the skies of earth. The entire communications unit nearly recoiled upon hearing the immediate bang from one of the explosions. The Monarch observed with shock. She could faintly see several explosions glowing from beneath the clouds. all being prefaced by a loud whistle before a "bang" followed suit. Soon, A window appeared on the screen. Displaying an S.O.S. signal.
"Your Majesty?"
"We'll get back to your later, Ecta." The monarch declared. Commanding the communications unit to answer the signal. The screen beamed and showed another member of the fleet. Their body was faintly glowing. they seemed to be exhausted.
"Your Majesty......E.....others.....arely made it......live....hip is broke....." The Monarch's anger seemed to intensify with each passing second. They could barely hear the soldier over all those explosions. they were MUCH louder down there. Most of the members on board were doing whatever they could to shield their auditory receptors. The soldier turned their camera to show the monarch what was going on. And the sight seemed to leave the monarch speechless.
They had a much better view of the explosions. Sure enough, the sky was filled with them. All with different colors and different shapes and sizes. A few them seemed to be shaped like what humans thought a star looked like. A few seemed to spell out something that the monarch couldn't quite make out. Numbers? 2....0.....Ugh....
The monarch's anger turned to confusion as the kept looking at the display. Their fleet wasn't trying to get past the clouds anymore as was explained earlier. So why were they still firing? Was this really what was stopping them? The monarch couldn't take her eyes off of the explosions. They had to admit, it looked beautiful. They could've kept looking at the explosions if the loud sound didn't snap them out of their trance.
".....on't know......o your ma......ewmates are wou....." The soldier tried to explain. Once more, his speech was barely audible over the loud explosions. Their hearts nearly stopped beating upon hearing a very loud explosion going off nearby. The soldier dropped their communications device and panicked.
"....are nearby...I need...." The soldier shouted and quickly scrambled to run away. But seemed to trip over the plants that were nearby. The communications device seemed to slowly lose it's signal until the call completely ended. The monarch stared at the screen completely stunned. She called the Officer back.
"Has our fleet tired to strike from another side of the planet?" The monarch asked.
"I've been getting reports of the rest of our fleet having the same planet your majesty. We don't see any ways for us to get past these clouds without our ships being damaged by these explosions." The officer replied.
"...And they're still firing?" the monarch asked.
"I'm afraid so. As of now, our ships are steering clear from the clouds, but they haven't stopped firing yet." The officer answered.
"Very well. I'll think of something. Keep me updated." The monarch commanded. Earning a salute from the officer before closing the call. The Monarch's light seemed to dim a little. What to do...what to do...
Did the humans know they were there? they hadn't gotten a transmission from their planet. Unless they didn't want them knowing that they'd be striking back. The monarch began thinking back to those explosions.
The shapes, the sizes. The way they seemed to cover the sky. Were they meant for defense? Was it some kind of ritual?
They looked so deadly...yet so beautiful...
----------------------
"That was amazing, Gramps!"
"Heh. Isn't it? Happy new years, champ!" The grandpa said. putting away a pack of his loudest fireworks.
"Dad, Are you trying to start a forest fire? What if someone was down there?!" The mother chided.
"Relax. Nobody ever goes down there. That forest is known to be filled with bears." Gramps chuckled while looking down at the cliff he had tossed the firework down in. "That's why you are never going there, am i right?" He said patting his grandson.
"So you're okay with bears getting hit by fireworks?" The mother asked bewildered. Gramps shrugged.
"Call it revenge for all the poor saps that got eaten by them." Gramps said while cackling, The mother could only shake her head in disbelief. The mother felt a tug on her sleeve.
"Mommy! Mommy! I saw another shooting star!" Her younger son said.
"Again?" The mother chuckled while lifting her son up with a smile.
"Yeah! I saw 3 falling at the same time!" Her son said with glee.
"Wow. You're getting a lot of wishes tonight, huh?" The mother chuckled. The family gathered at the cliff and continued watching the fireworks. all of them smiled as they looked forward to what this year had in store for them.
.....
"Mommy? Why is there so much smoke over there?"

Alien Fantasy-File 5: I need a drink
Tumblr media
"Very well, Glaxon. We're heading going to continue our exploration of the human planet terra in just a few minutes." A fellow member of the Zypherian Party staid. Glaxon's scales tilted upon hearing the information. But something seemed off here. they were missing a member.
"Wait, Where is Kromar?" Glaxon enquired upon noticing the absence of their captain. The informant's tail seemed to curl up upon hearing this question. "Are we really about to leave without him?"
"I may have neglected to mention. The captain is not returning today. in fact, right now we're in the process of helping him get his stuff together to return home."
"What? Why?" Glaxon bore his teeth in confusion.
"I don't know. But he seemed shaken." Glaxon's scales shivered in confusion.
"We haven't found anything on this planet yet that has posed a threat to us! The only intelligent life forms on this planet are those so-called humans, and they are so soft and fleshy! What could he have possible seen form him to head home?" The rest of the party gathered around. They had noticed how shaken their captain had been after returning to their base, but they had yet to figure out why.
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a few minutes to explain."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Captain Kromar proudly stomped down the streets of the city. His tail slamming with each step. Almost as a deliberate attempt to get everyone to look at him. And it did work. All these tiny humans seemed to look at him with fear. Some of them even bared their teeth at him in a poor attempt to intimidate him. It was as cute as it was incredibly pathetic. Following the Terrans being sworn in as part of the Intergalactic Alliance, Their planets became open for visits. Kromar, a proud captain of the Zypherian Army that protected the nobles of his home planet, had been told that his lord was planning to visit Humanity's planet of origin. Naturally, he made it his mission to make sure there was nothing on the planet that could threaten him.
The animals that this planet called home tried to attack him. But years of fighting for his nobles have hardened his scales so much that their attacks didn't do much to harm him. The intelligent life of this planet, the humans. Seemed weaker by comparison. When Kromar demanded to have a fight against their strongest Warriors, they didn't even bother.
The captain looked to the sky. The Moon had already made it's presence known. The moon. only one moon. The idea almost made the captain scoff. The captain licked his teeth, he had been walking around and was starting to feel thirsty. Hopefully the humans had something that could really make him clench his scales, but with everything he had seen of them so far? Humpph....
He stomped towards a building. A sign hung right above it. "Glass Jaw Bar."
He took a peek in the windows of the establishment. A few aliens were there, but it seemed to be populated by humans for the most part. Another alien species stumbled out of the bar and shouted something at the humans. "SAVAGES! SAVAGES! ALL OF YOU!!!!". The humans seemed to roar with laughter. Kromar looked back through the mirror, Drinks everywhere. He could see one of the humans pouring some from the canisters right behind them.
He rattled his scales. It was time to go in there and himself something to quench his thirst. If these humans knew their place, they would fork it over with no issue. He stomped into the bar. letting out a loud roar. All the humans looked at him, reactions seemed to vary. some were intimated as they should've been. but most of them didn't' seem to register his presence. He did not like this. He marched to the bartender and slammed his hand against the table. He bore his teeth to the tiny human.
"Can i help you, sir?" The human asked. The teeth barring seemed to wane. He didn't seem phased at all. He leaned closer. Hoping to get his point across.
"Can i help you?" The bartender asked again, not budging. Kromar bawled up his fists. did this human not know what he was up against? Such a weak species and yet so much overconfidence.
"Your most bitter beverage." He replied. During the wait, he observed the humans. there was something off about the way most of them were moving. they had this pink hue on their skin and they could barely stand upright. He turned to the sound of the bartended placing a massive glass in front of him. Kromar poured it down his jaws without a moment of hesitation.
"Dayum...Was life that hard for you. you must've really needed that." A voice told him. Looking down, he saw a human female right next to him. Kromar had to admit that she was pretty for a human. But she seemed to be in the same state as all the other attendees. He eyed her glass, it seemed to be half empty.
"So...." She slurred, trying to lift herself off the bar. "Do you come here often, big guy?"
Kromar's scales rattled in confusion. What was this human trying to accomplish. There was something about the way she was looking at him. his confusion only escalated when she began to brush her hands against his scales. "What are ya supposed to be anyway? Some kind of giant space Alligator?" Kromar bore his teeth and grabbed the human female, holding her close to his jaws.
"I AM CAPTAIN KROMAR OF THE NAM'ADO HOUSE OF ZYPHERIAN NOBBLES! I'VE FOUGHT IN MANY BATTLES TO DEFEND THE NOBLES OF MY PLANET AND I'VE BEEN BLESSED WITH THE HONOR TO SPREAD THE WORD OF OUR PLANET. DO NOT THINK YOU CAN PLACE YOUR HANDS ON ME WITHOUT CONSEQUENSE, HUMAN!!!" Kromar shouted, finishing his declaration with a roar.
"Heh...cute. We have a ferocious Alligator back in my hometown just like you. We call him Hank." The woman slurred. Kromar's anger seemed to turn into confusion. Why wasn't this woman showing any fear?!"
"Hey! Hey! Donnie,Honey! Pour the big guy another drink, put it on my tab!" The woman announced while still in the claws of Kromar. Kromar gently put her down, now she was giving him a drink? What in the name of the goddess was going on with this human?
Kromar heard some laughter coming from behind him. "Yo,Becky! What's this you were saying about Hank?" A human male slurred, with a bunch of other males seemingly struggling to hold in their laughter. All of them seemed in the same state as the woman. Becky was her name?
"I mean. Look at him, He kinda looks like Hank, doesn't he?" Becky asked. The 3 males looked at him before bursting with laughter. Kromar was starting to feel very insulted by this. These humans needed to know who they were up against. He marched up to the table and let out the loudest, most intimidating roar he could muster. The humans seemed paralyzed. Finally some display of-
"Jesus Christ, Man! Have you ever heard of a mint?!"
"Bro, I've been through farms that smell better than your breath."
"Ooooh! Like...i..i can do that too!" One of the human males said. His chest extended for a second and...
*BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURP*
The table went silent.
"How is that for a roar, huh?"
"Weeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaak..."
The rambling between the 3 men continued. Kromar just stood there in confusion.
"So Big Guy, are you gonna finish that? or shall i finish it for you?" Becky asked. Kromar looked at the glass that had been refilled and then back at the woman. Was she challenging him now?!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So they kept insulting him. And he didn't fight back?" Glaxon wondered. He knew the captain wouldn't have let that go unpunished.
"He was planning to. But before he could do anything, another human entered the bar talking about how someone was "Going to do it.". According to the Captain, the entire bar gathered outside to see 3 other human males partaking in some kind of ritual." Glaxon's scales shivered as he processed this information.
"What, Like a ritual to summon the gods of this planet?" Glaxon asked. "We don't know. The Captain seemed incredibly shocked by what followed to give a proper answer." Glaxon and the others seemed to be intrigued yet concerned.
"According to the Captain, the human pointed a device at himself. Everyone was shouting at the guy to stop, but he didn't listen. He claims to have heard a click coming from the device."
"What does that mean?"
"I don't know." According to the Captain, he twisted something on the device and the pointed it to himself again. and then....." The member telling the story slammed his tail against the ground, creating a small explosion of dust.
"His head exploded! He collapsed. Blood came leaking out of his head!" Glaxon and all the members of the party seemed shocked.
"Was it some kind of blood ritual?" Glaxon enquired again. The story teller's tail waved.
"I don't know. Our Captain was very appalled by the sight and all the humans seemed to be screaming and scattering around. He claims to have heard loud, blaring noises coming from behind the buildings after sometime passed. The human female he had been with that night told him to leave before "They" spotted him.
"Well this is just raising more question than answers. What were they even doing?! Was it a ritual or not?" One of the member impatiently asked.
"The captain tried asking too. But the woman seemed to lose consciousness before she could fully answer. But she did seem to tell him a few words..." The storyteller said to his crewmates.
"They seemed to call that ritual...Russian Roulette."

Alien Fantasy-File 4: Lost in the clouds.
Tumblr media
1 Day since impact (8:00 P.M. Terran time):
The Azonians unfortunately got to my ship and we had to make an emergency exit. We were able to make it to the escape pods in time and i've crash landed on a foggy region. i think i must've landed on one of the mountains, cause all i see is sky and clouds for miles. I'm currently setting up camp in a nearby cavern. I've been traversing these mountains for a few hours now and i haven't seen any lifeforms during that time. I think i've found a safe spot for now.
2 Days since impact (1:00 P.M. Terran Time):
I'm still hiking down these mountains. I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me. but i see a lot of islands in the sky. are they floating? There's no way. They're pretty distant. I'm pretty sure those clouds are just obscuring the rocks that hold them up.
I've set up an S.O.S. signal and right now i'm just waiting for someone to come pick me up. Hopefully they can still see through all these clouds.
3:00 A.M. Terran Time
I think i saw a something falling from the planet's atmosphere. must've been a ship. Looks like the fight against the Azonians is still going. i couldn't keep up with the ship. It disappeared into the clouds as quickly as it came. I would tail it, but i'm still trapped on this mountain and unfortunately, i see nothing below me. No paths, no water, No anything. just clouds.
Speaking off water. The supply i salvaged from the pod is starting to run low. i have to be a lot more sparing. hopefully i can find a source soon...
3 Days since impact (9:00 A.M. Terran Time):
I've been continuing my hike down this mountain. I'm not someone who suffers from altitude sickness, but man.  I'd be lying if i didn't say i get anxious every time a look down and see nothing but clouds. Some of the paths i've been taking have been pretty narrow. One miss step means game over. that is if there's ground below these clouds. It'd be a whole other matter if these clouds were just a bottomless pit.
The good news is, the risk of crossing these paths was worth it. I seem to have come across some kind of garden. But i'm not seeing anything here.
There's also some weird looking fruit hanging from the trees. I'm getting a little hungry and i have to be even more conservative with my food supply. Surely they won't notice if i take one.
9:20 A.M. Terran time
I heard something coming from behind the bushes. upon inspection, i found a weird looking ring laying on the floor. It kinda looked like a Halo of sorts.
Wait...did i die and go to heaven?
Nah..no fucking way!
Things started getting weird when the ring began glowing. a sparkle emanated from it and it created a line. like the sparkles were some kind of thread connected to the ring. I followed it and i came across this small creature. It seemed to have a set of 4 wings. But no talons. It's face looked weird too. at least i think that's it's face. There's an eye at the center looking straight at me. it's kinda creeping me out honestly.
The thread of sparkles seemed to be connected to this creature. Did the ring belong to it? I gently laid the ring next to the creature and one of the wings snatched it. The creature looked at me with it's sole eyes and began squirming. it was then that i noticed some weird green appendage sticking out from it's body. Some green liquid seemed to be pouring out of it.
Was it blood? God forbid if it's something else.
Still, the creature seemed in pain. At least that what i gathered from the way it struggled to move. I'll check by med-kit and see if there's anything i can do to help it.
4 Days since impact (9:00 A.M. Terran Time):
The creature is currently resting in my sleeping bag. I was able to bandage it's appendage. right now i'm just walking around the garden trying to figure out what my next move is.
I can still see explosions going off in the sky. I think the fight is still going. I can't really make out what kind of ship's are up there. Still no sign of anyone who owns this garden. I'm not really sure how much more fruit i could realistically take without the owner thinking they were robbed.
Hopefully i won't be around for when they find out.
The fruit has the same texture and crunch as an apple, but it looks like it was made out of iron and it's shaped so... weird.
Oh. looks like the creature is starting to wake up.
I pulled a pocket knife from by bag and used it to cut the fruit. I don't know if the creature is capable of eating this, but i don't really have anything else to feed it. It seems to like it though. It jolted awake and flapped towards me upon seeing the piece.
What's weird is. i don't see any orifices on it's body. Maybe underneath it's feathers? i don't know. but hey, it seems to have eaten it. I give it another piece and it happily took it once more.
I ran my hand through it's feathers. they feel pretty soft. It made a weird noise when i did it though. I quickly retracted my hand, but to my surprise it began flapping it's wings and hovering towards my hands.
I guess it didn't mind me petting it? i ran my hand through its feathers once more and it made that weird noise again. but it's not really moving as if trying to break free. so i guess it doesn't mind.
Another thing i've noticed. The ring i found yesterday is now attached to that weird green appendage of its. (Tail maybe? i still can't tell.) I guess it must've been some kind of accessory to it.
Is it a wild animal? or is it an intelligent life form? my mind is leaning more towards wild animal. but i gotta remember i crash landed on a whole other planet here.
7 Days since impact (2:00 P.M. Terran Time):
I'm still at the garden. Still no sign of the owner. I've been debating the past few days on whether or not that thing might be the owner.
For starters. Every time i wake up. i would have at least 3 of those weird fruit in front of my face. Considering the trees look more empty. yeah, it's definitely getting them from there.
For another, it's still here with me. it definitely could've left by now. but it's still here. Maybe it's just keeping me company. But between that and the fact and it doesn't seem to have any issue taking the fruits from the tree....
On another note. I still keep seeing explosions in the sky. Just yesterday i  saw few more ships falling from the sky. Those are definitely Azonian ships. But they keep disappearing into the clouds.
i wonder. IS there anything below these clouds?
9 Days since impact (5:00 A.M. Terran Time):
I heard a loud crashing noise just now. I think a ship might've crash landed here in the garden. I took one look at the creature before i decided to head out. Hopefully it won't mind if i leave for a bit.
5:03 A.M. Terran time
CRAP! Azonian ships! And there's at least 5 of them. I'm on my own here. I have a rifle, but it's back at the tent. I think one of them spotted me right as i was escaping. There's no way i can take them on right now.
At this moment i'm scrambling to pick up all the necessary things. i had to stop the creature from flying out of the tent.
We quickly snuck out and we successfully by passed most of the Azonians. I decided to avoid killing them for now. The garden doesn't really have any reliable hiding spots and the sound of the shots will draw attention for sure. We have to continue our escape.
But then it hit me..
I'm stuck on a floating island.
How am i supposed to get off?
I can hear the Azonians chanting and marching closer. I guess i better brace myself.
At least that's what was going through my mind at first. To my surprise, The creature clung onto my back. i could feel SOMETHING gripping me. No different from a bird grabbing you with it's talons. But the creature has no visible talons. so what gives?
I didn't really have time to wonder. Because to my shock, the creature effortlessly lifted me off the ground (Equipment and everything!) and we began flying away. I made the mistake of looking down at the bottomless pit full of clouds and had to tear my eyes away from it. What my eyes instead landed on where the Azonians watching us fly away. One of them tried to take a shot at us, but thankfully the creature was able to maneuver us out of the way.
10 Days since impact (1:00 A.M. Terran Time):
We landed on a nearby island. I thanked the creature for saving me by hugging it and caressing it. Hopefully it understood the gesture. i took this opportunity to check if it had talons but. nope, nothing. i don't feel anything.
I decided to ignore it for now. Looking at this creature just raises far more questions than it answers.
Right now we're in what looks like a shrine of sorts. I see a lot of flowing water here. I filled a bottle and looked back at the creature. it doesn't seem to mind. I reached in my back and took out a tablet. Right as i was about to put it in the bottle, the creature flapped it's wings and knocked it out of my hands. it then proceeded to jump up and down. It flew up and pushed my arm towards my face. almost as if it was urging me to drink it as is.
...I don't know how safe that is. It has a weird color.
But the creature seems to be urging me.
Hopefully i won't regret this.
11 Days since impact (2:00 P.M. Terran Time):
Right now, I'm sitting in the middle of the shrine contemplating where i should hide.  I woke up today and the creature was nowhere to be found. i tried looking all over, but i couldn't find it.
I only got more concerned when i saw a few Azonians patrolling the shrine. I have my rifle with me and this shrine overs much more coverage than the garden did. I hid on top of one of the pillars and waited.
One of the Azonian foot-soldiers entered the shrine, looking around. i know it's me they wanted. Taking a deep breath, i took aim and fired at it's head. It went down in a second. Another entered and i quickly took my shot too. Once i was sure no others were coming, i made my way down the shrine.
I saw some smoke coming from further up ahead. must've been where their ship crash landed. i made my way over there and sure enough, i saw their ship. They had a cage in the middle where they were keeping the creature trapped.
I stayed hidden. Reloading my weapon. Right as they seemed to be getting ready to board the cage onto their ship, I pulled the trigger on what seemed to be the leader. (He was the only one with a different accessory.)
I was able to get in a few good shots on the others, but a the rest seemed to quickly scatter. I took this opportunity to fire at the lock of the cage, allowing the creature to break free. I quickly retreated back to the center of the shrine before the other Azonians could spot me. I looked around to see if the creature had followed me when i felt something land on my head. I opened my arms and the creature landed in them, eyeing me.
It then flew onto my back and once more began flying us away to another place.
12 Days since impact (1:00 P.M. Terran Time):
We made it to another island. this one seemed to have more trees than the others, an easy place to take cover and lay low for a while. A good thing too, cause the creature looked so exhausted. It had a few scratches and looked more disheveled. i'm sure the capture had something to do with that.
I once more tended it's wounds using my medkit and then we took a moment to rest. there was more of that fruit here in the trees. but this time we seemed to be in the wild. surely nobody will have any complaints about us taking those right?
The creature made a noise again. I looked at it and it landed in my hand before flying and landing in front of me. It put something in my hand. A ring?
It looked just like the one it had on it's tail. i looked at it and then back at the creature. it then began brushing up against my leg. i smiled and ran my hands through it again. It's been a bit hectic. but at least i have company.
13 Days since impact (6:00 A.M. Terran Time):
I woke up today and my heard nearly stopped once more. the creature was gone. again.
Just like last time, i began looking around. my rifle clutched in my hand. i ran for minutes and minutes. but i didn't see any sign of the creature.
*BUMP*
I bumped into someone. i quickly pointed my rifle at it.
"WOAH! EASY! EASY!"
Wait...It's speaking in...
Now that i'm taking a closer look.
Yes... that the Rescue Team's Uniform.
"Are you okay?" The team member asked. "Please, lower the weapon.
6:00 A.M. Terran time
Turns out they're here because of the S.O.S. signal. Happy to see rescue came at least. I guess the Azonians DID slow them down a bit.
Right now we were getting ready to return home. As we were boarding the ship and preparing things for lift off, i looked around. Still no sign of the creature. Am i really about to leave it without saying goodbye?
I took a look at the ring it game me. It seemed to be glowing. I don't really know if it's because of the sun or if it's supposed to do that....
The team shouted at me to come aboard. i took one last look. Maybe it returned to it's garden...
..Oh well.
I mean we've only been together for a few days...
6:10 A.M. Terran time
Everything is going haywire right now. Looks like the Azonian ships spotted us and the rescue team is currently engaged in combat. Right now were just being evasive and dodging. It's working well right now, but for how long?
What's strange is, the ring i got seems to be glowing much brighter now. And a trail has appeared. just like the first time i found that other ring. I didn't have time to ponder what was going on, as i heard several explosions go off outside the ship. i peeked out of the window and watched as several Azonian ships went down. The rescue team pulled up the monitor to see where the blasts came from. They saw something in the clouds. it was obstructed by the clouds, and as such, the only thing visible was it's silhouette. It was roughly the same size as our ship, but it had several giant wings. surrounded by what seemed to be a bunch of winged soldiers.
The trail of the ring was pointed towards them. Could it be?
I once again didn't get to dwell on it. The rescue team's ship kicked into overdrive and exited the planet's atmosphere before the Azonians had a chance to recover. Soon enough, the cloudy planet was nothing but a distant ball in the reaches of space. More questions began to creep up as i looked at the ring. the trail slowly faded away, but it was still glowing.
Just what the hell was up with that planet and it's creatures?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few days had passed and an alien had landed in the garden. they looked more. humanoid. it's wings were much bigger. the green appendage was much larger and had spikes coming out of it. It's face seemed to be completely obscured by feathers, but there was a noticeable eye poking through them. The creature munched on the gardens fruit as it slowly hovered around the garden itself.
It then closed it's wings and focused. it's body slowly glowing and it's surrounding slowly morphing. Soon the alien was in a different location. it seemed to be the inside of a house. one completely unfamiliar to them.
It looked around and it's eyes landed on the person it was seeking. An indescribable feeling went through the alien's mind as it saw that they were wearing the ring they gave them. The alien extended it's wings, trying to reach out to them.
"H-Huh?!" The one holding the rifle turned around. feeling someone touching them. It them looked around in confusion. nobody was there.
"God, i've only been trapped there for what. 11 days? i shouldn't be feeling this paranoid." the one holding the weapon said. it them cocked the weapon before heading out. The alien felt themselves being pulled alongside the one holding their present. A satisfied noise seemed to escape the alien as it's surroundings slowly began to morph back into the garden it knew as it's home.
The alien looked at it's bandaged wing. and then at the sky. the alien didn't know if they would ever see each other in person again. But as long as that person had that ring, they would always have a way to watch over them.

Alien Fantasy-File 3: The cages in our sky.
Tumblr media
The princess clung unto her animal's shell as it sped through the rocks of the planet's ocean. An entourage of soldiers swimming not to far behind her. The princess glanced at the sky. She clutched the reigns of her animal while anticipation began building in her gills.
Over the past months, there's been reports of a phenomenon in their "sky". The surface of the ocean was the sky to these people. They could swim up to it with no issues, but they could never jump out of the ocean. for they couldn't breath outside of it. The princess and her subjects slowed down their animals as they got closer to their destination. they stopped at one of the empty fields of their town. The princess hovered away from her animal and swam up to an object.
"Your gracefulness, please be careful!" Her advisor shouted. The princess continued to twirl her tail, using all of her energy to close the gap between her and the object she was eyeing. She dug into the sand and found some kind of device. It was square and colorful. it had glass in the middle and several buttons on the side. A small hatch was located under it, but it was empty. There are several symbols on the glass, but the princess didn't know what any of them meant. She ran her fins through the glass and suddenly, the objects on the glass changed positions. now she was looking at a list. a list in a language she couldn't understand. She tapped the words to see if anything could happen. The pad didn't seem to respond to her taps at first.
"Your gracefulness. Maybe we shouldn't touch that."
"Here. Allow me, my lady." One of the knights stepped forward. He took the device and ran his fins throught it. one of the words flashed and the device began beeping.
The knight recoiled and hastily dropped it, pushing the princess back while other knights got in front of her. The princess watched the device carefully as it beeped a few times. Suddenly, the objects of the glass changed into something, a creature. only the creature was moving.
"(?olleH)"
Everyone watched the device anxiously.
"(?kcab dap ruoy teg uoy did ?ekiM ?olleH)"
The princess gestured the knights to lower their weapons, She slowly swam up to the device and looked into it.
"("!ni emoC ?laehciM)"
She got a good look at the figure. it seemed only it's upper body was visible. it had arms just like her and her species, but no scales and no visible gills or fins. It had small patch of hair on it's head and chin and it seemed to be wearing...something on his eyes. to protect them perhaps?
She didn't have time to inspect the creature further. for as soon as it saw her, it seemed to recoil in fear.
"(!SNEILA ESOHT FO ENO S'TI ,TIHS HO)"
"(?EREHT NWOD LLITS LAEHCIM SI ,TIAW)" Another voice said.
"(-ON ,PU EGAC EHT LLUP)" The glass flashed grey briefly before turning dark with two symbols. one green, one red and more words she couldn't understand. A lot of questions were running through her mind. That thing. it looked like-
"YOUR MAJESTY! UP THERE!" the princess quickly turned her head to where the knight was pointing its weapon. Her finds seemed to lose their color as she looked at what she saw in the "Sky".
It was a cage. hovering right in between the "sky" and the ground with a chain keeping it afloat. and inside that cage, was a figure. a figure covered in some kind of weird armor. one with tubes and a weird back attached to their spine. The princess shivered in horror.
There had been rumors going around her kingdom. her people claimed to have seen cages floating around near the sky. She could confirm those rumors were true, her tower gave her a good view of the sky, but this was the first time where she got a good look at just WHAT was inside those cages.
She had a good view of the armor. She didn't know what was under that armor. Was that a knight too? Were they a warrior that got captured? capture by who? one of the many monsters that inhabited their world? or by a warlock? no.. that couldn't be. these cages were coming from beyond the water. Maybe a deity was sending them down there. trapping them in these cages, dangling them in front of her kingdom. either as a warning or a test. The armored creature in the cage was clinging at the bars, frantically slamming it's limbs to the sides. She didn't know what was going on. but she knew one thing for sure.
..She was gonna free that poor warrior.
"EVERYONE! STRIKE THAT CAGE! SET THEM FREE! LET THE EVIL FORCE BEHIND THIS KNOW THAT WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY IT!"
A loud roar reverberated through the ocean as all the knights began swimming towards the cage. With the princess getting back on her creature and swimming alongside her troop. her eyes remained on the creature inside of it. It began moving more frantically, clearly wanting out of there.
The knights got close and began striking the cage with their spears, trying to pry it open. the creature began waving it's limbs at them, the poor thing.
"DO NOT HURT IT! STRIKE THE CAGE ITSELF!" The princess shouted at her troop. The creature frantically swam around in it's cage. it raised it's hands and grabbed something. The princess observed what it could be. Suddenly, the cage was coated by a black cloud of smoke. The troops that were striking the cage quickly backed away from it. The princess eyed the cage carefully, that black smudge seemed to be coming from the white tubes attached to the cage. Looks like whoever sent this poor creature down there wasn't gonna make this easy.
"Princess! Look out!" The princess looked at the cage, it seemed to be rising away from the black smoke. The cage. it was rising towards the sky.
"Oh! No! I won't allow it!" The princess declared as she swung her tail and swam after the rising cage. she was not gonna allow this force to dangle this creature and then take it away like some kind of toy.
"Princess! No!" The princess managed to grab hold of one of the bars. she held on tight as the cage dragged her with it. She clung onto the bars and stared at the creature.
"I'LL GET YOU OUT OF THERE! NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES!" She shouted as she put her hands between the bars, trying to reach out to the creature, the creature seemed to retract it's limbs. The princess took a look at it's armor. more specifically, it's helmet. it was made out of glass, but through that glass, she could see something....
She could see...eyes beyond the glass helmet. Her scales seemed to glow as the eyes pierced her.
"YOUR GRACEFULNESS! LET GO! NOW!" A distant voice shouted. She princess looked down, she sands of the ocean were almost a blur. she looked up to see both her and the cage were inching closer and closer to the sky of the ocean that she couldn't go beyond. for her gills wouldn't allow it. She took one last look at the creature and her finds glowed red.
"I'll get you out of there. No matter what it takes. Wait for me! I'll get it done!" She said softly, trying again to reach out for the armored creature. The creature didn't answer back, not even a gesture with its limbs.
The let go off the cage and watched as it's travelled beyond the sky. creating a ripple upon exiting the ocean, taking that poor creature with her. She watched longingly at the now empty sky as her body sank back down. She couldn't save it this time.
The distant shouting of her knights brought her back to her bearings. She looked back at the sky. her fins glowing a vibrant red.
"I'll save you. I'll save everyone this fiend has captured. no matter the cost!" She said before turning around swimming back to the sands of the ocean. She wasn't looking forward to the scolding she was gonna get from her father for almost killing herself, but she knew the poor creature needed to hear...
She wasn't gonna give up on it.
---------------------------------------------
The cage opened, allowing the man to hastily step back into the spaceship. Once he was beamed inside, he quickly took off his helmet. He looked like he had ran a mile, but it was all due to him freaking out from everything that was going on earlier.
"Mike! You good?" One of the crew members asked as he checked the man for any damage.
"Yeah, it was touch and go there. but i'm fine."
"I'm gonna go on a limb her and assume you didn't get your pad back." the comms guy said. Recalling the random call he had gotten and how upon answering, the first thing that greeted him wasn't a human, but those weird mermaid-esque aliens.
"No luck. Those guys started pulling up right as the cage was nearing the bottom." Michael responded.
"See. i told you going back for a pad wasn't worth it. But no. You had to risk getting yourself killed for it." One of the rangers said. "Hey! You know the boss will get on my ass for losing company property! Besides, i still came out of it alive!" Michael said. One of his co-workers beamed into the room.
"Yeah, by a hair's length. Those knights really did a number on the cage and the chain almost got broken. at least the ink canisters worked." She said with her arms crossed while she tetached her helmet.
"So what now?"
"We're gonna have to steer clear of this area for a while. We came across a new species after all."
"Uhh...We've been observing those things for months now." the comms guy said.
"Yeah. without interacting with them. Have you seen how close they got to the cage?! this is the first time they're gotten a good look at us!"
"Good look is a bit of a stretch. My body was completely covered by my suit. And they had a bunch of armored guys. maybe they'll think i was wearing armor like them." Michael responded.
"Michael, i would advice you don't underestimate the intelligence of alien life."
"I'm not! I'm just saying." Michael said, raising his hands defensively.
"Whatever. Let's just get off the planet's surface and report our findings to HQ. As for you, Butterfingers. Have a better grip on your equipment next time! We are NOT doing another dive just because you can't handle the consequences of your actions!"
"Whatever..." Michael muttered.

Alien Fantasy-File 2: False Faced Humans (A.K.A. Humans with Masks)
This story in particular was inspired by a post from Recklessly Tall Tales. Ya'll should give her a follow. A lot of her posts is what inspired me to start writing my own. Here's the post for reference:
Tumblr media
"Heh! Now this might be one of our best hauls yet!" The leader of a gang of Tecorrians responded. they were on a planet that was a bit more isolated from the more populated systems and thus made it the perfect spot for trades that would be deemed illegal on other galaxies. One of the partners ran his claw through the Draxilite Horn he had acquired from the sale. If you were to ask the Terrans how to describe the Tecorrians, they would tell you they look like a weird fusion between two animals native to their home planet. the Turtle and the Armadillo.
"I can't wait to show this to my clan. Everything will be built in our honor once they find out i've gotten my claws on one of these!"  "Are you sure about this? I'm sure the elders will know. They always seem to know when you've honestly conquered a Draxilite." His partner responded.
"They won't know. This planet is very close to the colony. they'll just assume i'm struggling but still braving through the beast!" "If you say so." A third voice chimed in. "Me personally. I'm looking forward to giving my mate this." He said as he pulled out a flower. "The humans refer to it as a "Silent Princess". Apparently it's a special breed of flower that has almost gone extinct on one of their planets. The dealer said he had to invade a human garden to get this." "Well, We better hurry and get off this planet before-" "Everyone hide!" One of the Tecorrians abruptly shouted. his partners looked confused as they watched him retreat in his shell. They quickly rolled behind a bush and waited.
"I don't understand. What are we hiding from?"
"Look over there!" The Tecorrian stuck out a claw and pointed. his partners peered from behind a bush and were confused at what they saw. It was a group of humans. Widely considered to be a fairly wild when they had a reason to be, but were otherwise pretty harmless. "Humans? Are you really concerned about them?" One of the chuckled. "i don't see any weapons on...wait." The Tecorrian voice trailed off. The scales on his shell began to shiver as his eyes landed on the humans. more specifically, their faces.
"Are those....?" "False Faces. Those are False Faced Humans!" One of the Tecorrians nearly shouted. he was quickly silenced. Most of the group now seemed horrified. but one of them remained confused.
"I don't understand. What is the concern? Why are they wearing those?" "Wait. Didn't your clan tell you about False Faced humans?"
"I've heard mentions of them."
One of the Teccorians peeked over the bush and then hastily retreated. "Those humans. the False Faced ones. They always have a terrifying story behind those false faces." "My father told a tale about one of them. it happened five years ago. A human got severely wounded and almost killed by one of the guilds in our village. But on the verge of death, He struck a deal with the Ah'Lufrit. The deity of fire himself. He had been brought back to life and had been granted the ability to spread fire. In exchange, He had to wear a hideous False Face. A black one with pitch black glass eyes and a very large snout with several holes. He then burnt down part of the village and wounded most of the guild before he was securely captured. "
"A False faced human did that? i thought one of the knights got to over confident during a weapon demonstration." "I have a story too. One of the clans in my village had visited on of the human colonies while they had a pandemic going on. And elder told us the humans were all wearing False Faces that resembled the Avian species of our system." "Are you sure it was a human?"
"Yes! The False face was protruding from the rest of the body and it seemed to be made out of something completely different! The worst part is, according to the elder, the face didn't move at all when the human spoke. it's like it's face was stuck that way."
"Really? You know. on the Subject of Human colonies. A close friend of mine had gone to visit one of the human planets. i believe it was called "Macbeth". The humans were hosting a ceremony there, celebrating the day they had first set foot on the planet. He returned completely horrified the next day. He had seen hundreds of humans with False Faces. all performing these coordinated dances. And they all had different False Faces. One had one that looked like the "Dragons" from human mythology. Another one had a False Face that looked just like a regular human. But it was baring it's teeth. My friend says it was one of the most terrifying things he had ever seen. Almost as if the Deity of Death was taunting him." While listening to these stories, The Tecorrian took one good look at the false faced humans. They all had the same False Face. Golden with the resemblance to a normal human face. But a few looked "Happy" while the others looked "sad". The Tecorrian found it mildly unsettling how the expressions didn't seem to change. Humans were known for how expressive their faces were. to the point where it could be pretty difficult to read a human. So to see their faces frozen like that. it just didn't look right. He wondered just what these humans did to end up like that? Did they make a deal? did they anger a deity and had been cursed to look like that? One of the humans put a bunch of logs together and then set them ablaze. creating a massive fire. He watched them surround the fire and stare at it.
"Has anyone ever tried removing those faces?" "The knights that had managed to capture the human burning down our village did. Once the villagers pulled off the False Face, They said it was the most horrifying sight they had ever seen. It's as if the False Face had completely messed up his face. Many people took it as Ah'Lufrit sending us a message." "You know. Come to think of it. I've heard a few people at our bar talk about going to one of the Black Market planets in order to meet one. they said they were planning to see if they could bind them to their service."
"I...What fools!!!" One of the Tecorrians shouted, Alarming the entire gang. to their horror, one of the humans turned to look in their reaction. Feelings of fear and panic went through their Tecorrians are they saw the False Faced humans slowly approach.
"Oh no! No! No! No! Not like this!"
"Your holiness! Have mercy on me!"
"Scales to you all! i'm out of here!"
"W-Wait!"
They all quickly scrambled to leave. they didn't know what could possible happen if that False Faced human decided to confront them, but they weren't going to stick around to find out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Yo. I'm back." Jade declared as she lifted her comedy mask. "So what was that noise again?" Roy asked, lifting his tragedy mask while holding a fruit on a stick over the bonfire.  "Just one of those Turtle-Armadillo looking aliens. nothing to worry about." Jade brushed off. "Let's just get back to work. Are you sure this is the right place?"
"Yeah, look at how much space there is. And this is one of the more isolated planets. the perfect spot to perform without problems. This birthday party is going to be one for the ages!" Roy said with excitement.  "Riiiiiiiiight. But are the masks really necessary?" Jade asked as she looked at her comedy mask. "Of course they are! Carol is an absolute theater girl. She would never let me hear the end of it if we didn't go all out!" Roy said. "Now pass me that box. I want to test out some of the fireworks!"

Alien Fantasy-File 1: The "Egg" from the Dark Clouds
The dark and cloudy atmosphere of the planet loomed over the fortress of the monarch. Their dark red mane flowing behind them as they took a sip from their Algae-infused beverage. From the balcony, they had a clear view of the Volcanic landscape of their world. a landscape that the Ignusians have adapted to and called home for millennia. The Monarch was proud to say that very few species were tough enough to survive this unforgiving planet they called home.
They placed their cup down and ran their finger through their red-crusted skin. the very same that rendered them immune against the harsh fires of this planet. The monarch looked up at the dark clouds. They always wondered if there was anything beyond the clouds of the planet. Growing up, they always heard tales of being beyond their comprehension living beyond the clouds created by the Volcanos. They wondered if perhaps they could met them one day.
perhaps..... "Lord Fr' Nia! We've gotten some new reports!" The Monarch turned to face the knight that had just burst through the balcony door. "We've gotten some new reports regarding the recent sightings. Our search party has requested your presence!" The knight kneeled down. The Monarch put down their cup and gazed at the knight.  "Tell them i'll be down there shortly"
The Knight got up and saluted their monarch. The Monarch gazed at the sky as their pondered over what they heard from the knight. A fourth of their cycle had passed since that abnormality. A meteor had pierced the clouds and landed on one of the nearby mountains. naturally, there was an immediate investigation.
The monarch made their way through the hallways as these thoughts continued to linger. From what they had gathered from the rumors. it wasn't a meteor that had landed on those mountains. They didn't know how to describe it, as the monarch unfortunately hadn't gotten close enough to see it. But the search party and the local citizens described it as "Vaguely egg shaped". It's as if the sky had laid an egg. except the "Egg" also had what were clearly supposed to be windows.  The monarch opened the door and all the Ignusians in the room turned their attention to their highness. "Lord Fr' Nia! I'm glad you could make it." One of the knights said. his mane longer than the others and his skin looking much more crusty than his fellow knights. The spike on his limbs were sharp with a few having been broken, indicating years of experience and combat. "For what have i been summoned here?" The Monarch inquired. Curious about what information they were able to extract this time. "We have news, my lord. There's been life sighted near the Anomality!" The chancellor spoke up. The Monarch turned their attention to the chancellor, who proceeded to carefully place a few stone tablets on the table. all of them with paintings depicting figures. "According to the villagers, There's been a few more of those creatures sighted near the Callista Springs. And this time we have a better description of them."
The Callista Springs. A source of water located near the mountains where the Anomality crashed. But it was located quite a walk away from the mountains. The creatures ventured all the way over there?
"According to the villagers. the creatures seemed to have the same body shape as us. but they are a bit smaller and they seemed to be wearing this...strange white armor. If looked puffy, with tubes attached all over. "Anything else?"
"One of the villagers reportedly tried to tail the creature. But unfortunately, they lost sight of it pretty quickly." One of the knights replied. The Monarch was disappointed, but they understood why most villagers didn't want to go near the device. The search Party managed to get pretty close to the anomality, even being able to touch it. Those who did described it as "unnaturally cold." even the coldest region of their home didn't seem to compare.
With the anomality resembling a giant egg, The first thought of the Knights was to try and hatch the egg. But Ignusians idea of hatching it involved striking it until it broke. which proved to be a massive mistake.  After the first few strikes, A few parts of the Anomality seemed to hatch open. And a tubular "limb" stuck out and began pointing at them. Curiosity turned into horror as the Anomality began firing beams at the ones that had attacked it. Most of the Knights were able to get out alive, but those who got struck by the beams had very heavy dents in their armor. not unlike being struck by the Bovine-like wildlife of this planet.
Since then. Contact with the Anomality has been limited. With those who decide to go inspect it restricting their search to outside the crash site, fearing they would invoke the anomality's wrath. However, since that crash landing. there's been reports of weird creatures occasionally wandering around near the crash site with a bunch of weird devices. With those creatures having appeared shortly after the crash, the Ignusians believed the creatures came from the Anomality. the question is, What kind of creatures were they? To hear that one of them made their way to the Callista Springs. so close to the village....
"Sir Kohzunah! You're late!" The leader of the knights said. The Monarch looked away from the drawings and saw another knight enter the room. The knight took of his helmet. revealing his shorter mane. His skin looked just as crusty, yet noticeable more smooth than his fellow knights.
"I almost caught one sir."
"Excuse me?"
"I saw one near the springs again. It ran away and i was this close to catching it. But right as i grabbed its leg, it pointed this weird weapon at me. next thing i know, i feel something sting my arm and my entire body is shaking. It got away before i could get my bearings." The Knight confessed while bowing to his fellow knights. "You. You almost caught one. Hah! A young one like you. okay." Another night chuckled. "I'm serious!"
"ENOUGH!!!" The monarch shouted. gathering everyone's attention. They approached the knight. "You managed to get close to one?" "Yes, My lord! They look... they look exactly like these drawings. but their suits had these weird buttons and their armor was... surprisingly soft."
"My lord, he's a young and inexperienced Warrior in training." i really doubt-" The Monarch glared at the knight. The glare quickly silenced any complaints the knight had.
"Anything else?"
"They seemed to be containing the water from the springs before they saw me."
The Monarch began speculating again. They were taking the water? Were they are of how precious of a resource it was considered here? Did they drink the water for it's healing properties? did they need it for the Anomality? "I want our knights to patrol the area once more. Call in the aerial troops. See if you can figure out if there's a specific time they come to the springs. try to stay out of their sight!" "My lord?" "I want as much intel about these beings as possible. Understood?" The knights saluted. "Meeting adjourned!" The Monarch announced. The Knights got to work while the Monarch returned to the balcony. They looked in the direction of the crash site. What were these creatures? were they sent here by the sky? could they talk? were they savages? they were closing in on their town, but they only seemed to attack when their knights got to close to the anomality. They continued to wonder if talking to this new species was possible. Maybe they could invite them to the castle. Chat over some Geothermal Cuisine and maybe even engage in a lava bath with each other. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ALMOST GOT CAUGHT?!?!" "Jake, Please calm down."
"DON'T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN, ED! YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PROTOCOL WHEN IT COMES TO MEETING NEW SPECIES!"
"Sir, i understand your frustration. but please calm down." One of the astronauts said. Eddy took off his helmet and took a deep breath. it felt good to be back in the insulated confines of the ship. Even the hottest days on earth couldn't have prepared him how hot this planet could be. He looked at the woman, her uniform had "Marley" written on it. "What were you doing there anyway?" Marley asked. "Remember the water spring we came across a month ago?" "Oh my god.." Jake groaned. "Hey! You said it yourself. our water supply was running low!" Ed retorted.
"I told you we would continue looking!"
"Continue looking where?!" I'm pretty sure we've looked through every corner of this mountain that isn't populated or surrounded by lava!"
"EVERYONE CALM DOWN!" Marley shouted. Silence kicked in for a minute. a silence that was then promptly broken by another member.
"Can we really not talk to them?" "Craig, we've been over this. we can't speak their language. and even if we did. Look at how much Lava the rest of the land is surrounded by. Not to mention the temperature. i swear, i almost had a heart attack when our drones reported back. If we go near that place, we're going to be cooked. and that's if those aliens don't attack us on sight like they did with our ship." Jake said.
"So what now then?" Marley asked. "Our S.O.S. signal has reached the nearest Rescue HQ and they said they should be here within a few more days. As long as we continue to ration our supplies more sparingly, we should be good." One of the members said. "Yeah, and with the Water eddy brought back, we should last a little longer." another member said. "Look. for now. just stay near the ship. keep exploration restricted to near the ship. And don't take after Ed's example." Jake side eyed his colleague.
"Oh, c'mon now! the keyword is "ALMOST". They didn't actually catch me. i tasered the guy right as he grabbed my leg." Ed retorted. "And you're sure he didn't follow you here?" Marley asked. "Positive! the thing was twitching on the floor like an anime character while i was running, we should be safe." "And you're sure you didn't kill it?" Craig asked. "Killed it? with a fucking taser? get real, man." "Hey, you never know! We're talking about an alien species." "An alien species that can swim in lava, craig! I'd be ridiculous if...." Jake sighed as he chugged down some of the water his partner had brought back. The Rescue force could not come soon enough.

Introduction.
Hi! I've recently decided to make a Tumblr account in order to upload my take on the Humans are weird stories. I've been lurking in the tags for a few years now and i've finally decided i wanna start writing a few pieces of my own. I'm mainly into humans and aliens interacting with each other like they're in a fairytale and some of the stories you're gonna read here are inspired by various video games i've played. That being said, english isn't my first language. so please forgive any grammatical errors you might see.
That's it for the intro. I'm looking forward to writing here.
