This is the one of the best memories for me, being an Area Director I got the opportunity to talk about Area Success Plan at Mid-Year Toastmasters Leadership Institute Training for District 41 Officers at Kasauli Resort back in January 2020. One with District Public Relations Manager Ankur Yadav. A quick fact about this person, he is part of Toastmasters community from just 4.5 years but the popularity he has gained in this short time in truly remarkable. I know this Gentleman closely from just a little more than 1.5 years now. But feeling-wise, it seems it has been more than that. When i was serving as Vice - President at @delhionetoastmasters, he invited me to work in his Division PR team. Having known this person for his humility and popularity, I couldn't say No and that was the start of a beautiful journey. I became President here and working in his Division gave me the chance to interact more with Gaurav Chaudhary and Prateek Tyagi. These are the best people in the community as a team member. It was a DEC Meeting and because of Ankur Yadav, I got the chance to attend that where other Non-District Officers were also invited in Feb 2019. And my true leadership journey started from that point. His support was enough to enable me become one of the Area Director in the upcoming term. The next DEC Meeting was first DEC Meeting for me as an Area Director that I attended and this picture was captured that time. Definitely life has not been the same again since then and the rest is history. Now today, it is the last DEC Meeting of the term, and I'm going through some Nostalgia having survived the entire year as a District Officer. When I first got this picture clicked, I knew when I had to post it, today. Because there are many memories attached in and around this picture. I was just lucky enough to meet him at the right time and he was also kind and humble enough to guide me throughout. Thank you so much Ankur bhai for all the support, love, blessings and guidance. One with Himanshu Bakshi @bakshihimanshu heard about him, saw his speeches online, missed one chance to be present in a conference where he spoke but the second time I got the chance to meet him when he was a keynote speaker in Toastmasters Gurugram Division Conference last year. Many of us know him, he currently works at EY. The speech keynote speech by him is something one should hear or watch, which clearly shows how he himself has turned down all impossible situations into possible one enough to make sure that his fans like me wait to get a click and post it. On a humorous note, he says he is not the character from Game of Thrones or not an Indian customised version of it. And people bow to him to speak and he proudly raises his head. His life journey, unlike a normal India kid, started with visits to hospitals. He understood that he is different and accepted to bear the comments people used to pass. Yet he admires critiques that they are one of the greater teachers. The mention of meeting with Dr. ABJ Abdul Kalam and how they both had a similar childhood, shows that inspiration always takes you along in the journey. Not small but incidences like not being able to board the bus and standing two hours there and taken away by water when he started learning swimming, never made him stop and that became his mantra: REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! Passion for CA just because nobody would be able to say that he took advantage of being different (as CA does not have a differently-abled quota) clearly proves that next dimension of your life always is a result of your attitude. Under this lockdown, I was flipping through pictures and suddenly I stopped at this picture with him which spoke thousands of words enough to push me to share it here with his inspiring story. I feel really lucky to find inspiration in people who have made it so far even after having odd situations.
