Storm | The X-Men Animated Series

I've been playing X-Men vs. Street Fighter for the first time on my Arcade1up while drawing these, and my first team comprised of Storm and Wolvie! Storms got them ranged attacks and plays like Fujin from MK, so good.

Wolverine | The X-Men Animated Series I’ve been loving the X-Men revival happening, and my inner child is absolutely ecstatic for X-Men ‘97! I’ve also been playing him non-stop with my new Marvel Vs Capcom cabinet.

In celebration, I wanted to draw the X-man nearest and dearest to my heart, Wolverine.

Hello Tumblr!

Greetings and salutations! This is JJ, he who created Sprites and The Coffee Shop, long ago. I hope you’re all doing well!  Things have simply just been nuts since I was last on here! Of course the world has become what it is, which is just...bonkers, I think is a fair way to put it. Personally, life has been quite the journey. So much has happened, so many life changing events that have morphed my psyche and being. And here I am, coming right on back to what I love: drawing and making comics.

So lets make some drawings and comics.

For those familiar with Sprites, there will be more content soon! I’ve longed to get the entire collection in PDF format so it’s easy to skim through. There will be additional exclusive content as well; fun fact, did you know I had a different ending entirely created? (And I’ve even got a few additional stories I might tell! Ahh!)

And for those that were invested in The Coffee Shop, it will be back in a different incarnation soon! The characters and story to be told are extremely near and dear to my heart, and I wanted to make sure that the writing and illustration was up to the standard I had for myself. I think I’m like...good enough now! And I’ll take good enough lol

Hey all! It’s been a while! I hope all is well and all of you are safe, as least as well and safe it can be in the year 2020! Things are just...surreal?  Bleak? Nightmarish? Anyway? I’ve just made this banner for my sprites.loungegeek.net website redesign and wanted to share it with you! I will say, if you want to go through the ol archive for Sprites, this website is how I best envisioned it. Revisiting Sprites has been a lot of fun! It’ll be a while, but there are a few untold stories in this universe I would love to tell. And just a reminder, I have another webcomic now called The Coffee Shop located at thecoffeeshop.loungegeek.net It’ll be updating on the website, at webtoons, and tapas. Love you all. Sprites: The Finale Issue 476-483 Wow! So uh, this is the end. This is the end of Sprites. I didn’t really want for this day to come, I guess. But it’s here! I adore Sprites. And I adore all of you. I can’t say how much I’ve appreciated you’re reading and enjoying Sprites. It’s a tale that, to me, helps to make me appreciate the life that we have, this limited amount of time on this earth with one another, and the impact that we make with each other. I hope all of you are well during everything going on with COVID-19, by the way. I may or may not come back to Sprites. I have a few side stories up my sleeve I would really like to come back too at a later point. I’ll update news about Sprites and new projects on my Tumblr, my twitter, or my website with any information regarding the future. I will say this: I will, with absolute certainty, be putting together a Sprites PDF book for you all. I once had a different ending I fully created and then deleted. My guess is I would make a PDF of the side stories as well. This site has been something I’ve wanted to make for...five years now? I’ve never had a cohesive archive and I’m proud that Sprites will finally have a home where you can read the full narrative cohesively which has...never really existed on tumblr. I’m sorry things have been so horrendously inconsistent and slow for Sprites in general for like...the past two years. I’ve been working on so many projects and going through so many personal things that I’ve constantly dropped the ball with Sprites, and that’s something only being persistent and proving myself can do. And thank god, I finally feel like I can really do that again. And not only that, but I can finally show off something that’s been in the works for nearing half a year.  Past this point, things will be stable with my creative en-devours. Next week we’ll go back to Monday/Wednesday/Friday so we can finally flow to the end of Sprites like you guys deserve. I may or may not also have some other Sprites ideas coming through the pipe, but we’ll talk about that another time.
