Patience knocked at the door, rain water dripping off the sides of the walkway balcony above her, expecting the worse. She had heard from Adams' grandmother, who hadn't called Patience in over 30 years. Patience wasn't on speaking terms with her, after all, and while Patience still loved her, the relationship was strained. There was no response at first, and after fidgeting with her timepiece, Patience knocked again. She had time. She could wait forever for ... she lost track of how many grands there were in the child's relation. It was more than enough, really. A tenor voice came from behind the door "What do you want?". The speech was a little slurred, and confused. Honestly, that was to be expected. When you have as many great grandchildren as Patience has, it's hard to keep up with all of them.
"Adam? I'm Patience. Your grandmother called me. She's so worried about you. Can I come in?" There was a pause, and the door opened up a crack, and Patience saw Adam's face. It was confused, but the eyes were read and puffy, and the bare shoulders were shaking a little from the distress. His brown hair reflected the light in such a warm color, and his eyes were as storm clouds reflecting an ice sheet. His forehead barely touched the chain that kept the door from being completely open. "Who? What's my Grandmother's name?", he asked suspiciously. Adam looked very much like Patience's daughter, from all that time ago. Memories came back to Patience, but she pushed them aside. "I'm Patience. I'm a relationship to your Grandmother, Connie Lucy Edwards. She's heard that you had a fight with your mother, and that you had a bad breakup. I.. I was hoping I could maybe help?" Adam took a long hard look at Patience. "I don't know you. Why do you care?" Patience danced on the knife edge. Small lies first. He just wouldn't know. "I'm sort of like a god parent? I know we've not seen each other since you were really, really, little, but I..." The door closed, and Adam went deeper into the home. Patience sighed. How could she ever explain it to him? How could she honor the ever living reflection of her daughter that her beyond great grandson shared with her. The boy was crying, and the pain was still fresh. Maybe if he wouldn't open up to here, maybe she could visit the man who made Adam cry, and find out the heart of the truth. (Maybe to be continued? Adam had a love with Eric, and Eric and Adam broke up because Eric wanted Adam to be more of a woman, and Adam is trying so hard to be a man, even though his appearance is so much like Patience's child, it's obvious that he may never break free. Some exploration on if Patience feels responsible, and an attempt to comfort and telling Adam that he deserves to be what he wants to be, no matter what he actually looks like. Unclear at this time if Eric and Adam can mend the differences, or if Eric leaves Adam, and Adam finds another relationship that he feels comfortable in. Because, let's face it, I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get back to this)
An immortal once had a child. She was kind and gentle and beautiful, and the immortal doted on her endlessly, but the child was mortal, and she died of old age. Centuries later, the immortal is still looking after her descendants, and… tragically, they all look exactly like her.

It has been years, and this is something I did for Christmas gifts. I’ll get back to doodles, but I just wanted to show life.

You are transferred into a novel you love but notice something is off. The characters are acting like a parody of themselves and you see someone you KNOW was not in the original that the world seems to love. You have the realization you were transferred to someone's self insert fanfic instead.

Merry Mari Lwyd
Something a little different then my usual fare, just in time for the holidays: A comic starring the marvelous Mari Lwyd of Welsh wassailing tradition!
The phrase Mari's saying in the first panel is "Merry Christmas to you all".
And of course, in case you're not familiar with the song in question

I didn’t win the painting contest. I don’t think I ever will, but I had two shades of purple and a bug thing to paint and I think it ended up great, given I forgot my reading glasses.
Also, doubles for my Pride Mini for the month. They go by the name of Draxi, and they very much want to show off their progeny, thank you for your interest.
