Reposting my own Superman fanart from 2019 because I finally saw the Movie and it's really, really good. My Adventures with Superman is also delightful and it's just, really luxurious to be in an era where official media is p much bullseye on my desired approach to a character. I'm SO pleased.
I drew a BUNCH of Lois and Clarks this weekend. I couldn’t even tell you why, but it suddenly occurred to me that I wanna see somebody really lean into Clark Kent being this huge chonk of country boy who’s like 22 and showing up for his first real big-city job and he seems so awkward but he writes so well?? and Lois just knows he’s gonna get eaten alive but she can’t help wanting to protect the big guy. And there’s this Superman fella too, and there’s something funny about him….
@boxlunches pointed out he’s a lot like Disney’s Hercules and she’s RIGHT, that’s the mood. Anyway, that’s what I want. And some sort of 1940s/1990s synth aesthetic. Thanks for your time.
