Whenever I get too happy about how well everything is going in the comic, I get hit behind the head by a large metal pipe.

I want to hug Wen and tell her that even if the circumstances of befriending Illirik and Juno were less than ideal those are still her friends, that Ollie and Dam didn't leave her to die on purpose, that she's loved and cared for and AUGH my poor girl.

You know, it sure is suspicious that for someone who (self-proclained) doesn't have feelings, Wen's new "friend" sure has an intense disdain for humans! But also, was it maybe regret in his eyes at the end? 👀👀👀

The bonus was super interesting! Answered a lot of questions I had about the children of Azra, but opened many new ones. I'm guessing Illirik was the one that wrote the notes in red?

But they weren't VERY close friends to begin with, more like coworkers, and she was kinda a plus-one to an already existing friend group. In any case, it's just the start of a very long journey! So apparently I TOTALLY MISSED a whole part of chapter 3 because I saw that symbol you put at the beginning of the chapter and promptly ignored everything else that pointed that it continued on. So I got two chapters for the wait of one today. Sweet.

(I'm also going to briefly comment on it since clearly I haven't. I love myself some good handsome blond(?) man (?????) whose name I always forget. Wen is more patient than me, I'd have broken a chair over his head at the third attempt to shut me up.)

SO THAT'S HOW WEN GOT HER EARS??? IT'S SUCH A CUTE STORY! Once again, Wen is better than me, I would have thrown something at me if this guy called me a dog.

I'm really curious about the whole "not a doll" thing though 👀👀👀. Can't wait to find out.

Two weeks is a long time though, I think she'll wear this guy down enough to at least make him more... talkative than he is now. "Enemies are friends I haven't worn down yet" after all!

Don't feel too bad for Wen, she's not the nicest at this point in time either :') He is not allowed to hurt her, she can't physically hurt him, but she has to channel her annoyance somewhere, so all she has left to do is to grumble and throw some lazy insults at the magical doll who can't seemingly take anything personally. And he is essentially a doll! A very advanced one. He just considers this term a bit limiting and crude, considering he's capable of way more things than other DEKKER automata (like speaking and moving autonomously). But for what reason he can do that and other automata can't, it's still to find out. Thank you, as always!

I'm soooo glad this takes place in the past because what do you mean the chapter ends LIKE THAT.

Illirik is so cute! I hope we get to see more of her, also the fascinating dichotomy of life and death, yessir. Fingers crossed she and Wen become good friends, they both really need it.

Either way, Wen really should have thrown those rocks at the kids.

I started working on this comic a year ago, when just thinking about having to draw backgrounds filled me with agony, and now these are some of my favorite pages

I'VE BEEN WAITING SO MUCH FOR THIS UPDATE and I'm sorry to hear about the main site, hopefully everything gets fixed soon!

Lin Wen you absolute madwoman, pointing the crossbow at yourself? that was one hell of a power move. She truly has nerves of steel, even when her hands are shaking, I love her so much.

I'm also very intrigued about this new fellow, he speaks so certain of everything related to Dekker but I can't help but think he's somewhat misguided in the beliefs. I wonder what it means that his eyes are of different color each.

Also, maybe I misunderstood the events unfolding, but the clock he has isn't Wen's right? Or is it? apologies if it's a silly question.

I hope nothing bad happened to the girls while they were escaping, I hope nothing bad happens to Wen after she follows the handsome stranger.

Anyway! Thanks so much for the chapter! I'm soooo looking forward to next month, remember to take care of yourself.

It will be more obvious later during the daylight that the designs are different, but Wen's got a golden watch with a front cover, and he's got a silver one without. Also, a bit of fun trivia regarding that page you attached: the very first initial sketch of this scene I did already in 2022! With some panel tweaking in the final version

I FINALLY GOT TIME TO READ THE UPDATE AAAAH.

I was ✨💞terrified💞✨ when the dolls appeared. The part where Lin shoots one and it just gets up???? Hello??? The paneling and use of the pages is such a clever idea, I'll never get tired of praising it.

Poor Dam, though, if only they had listened to her.

Can't wait for the next update, the mysterious hooded figure cliffhanger will keep me awake at night.
