Spell of Manifestation

There are times in a witch’s life where patience just isn’t going to cut it. You need that one thing to happen, and you need it right now! For those times, try out this simple spell of manifestation! This would be most effective during the waxing moon, or the new moon just before it begins to wax (on a day such as today, for instance!).

What you need:

* Fire (candle, cauldron, fire pit, etc) * Paper (any kind will do, but the more elaborately decorated it is, the better this works) * Incense of any kind will do, though certain herbs will work better for certain thoughtforms/wishes (see full list below) The chant:

Waning, waxing, pull and push Bring forth my vision, my solemn wish Let it manifest into my destiny As I do will so mote it be! The process:

Close the blinds, lock the doors, or go outside somewhere where you needn’t fret about the judgmental eyes of others. Get a good fire going in your cauldron or fire pit, or light your candle. Sit and focus on your desire, envisioning it happening. See yourself holding what it is you want or experiencing the happening as realistically as you can; mind that magic has little recourse in the world of fantasy, as fantastical as it seems at times. Once you have your vision firmly in your mind’s eye, write it out on the paper, as well as the date, and your religious name. Bless/consecrate the paper by any rite you wish, and then when you feel ready, feed it to the flame. Imagine is as a glowing orb which grows larger as the page burns up. Dance around it and chant the words above as it grows, letting your energy latch on the energy of the paper burning. Finally when you have generated enough energy, release it into the world with firm belief in its success.

Tell no one of your rite until the wish comes true. So i was talking to a white witch about Haitan Vodou and they were promoting that white people should be able to practice it, after a long dicussion their conclusion to my points were "i hate white people" and that it's basically okay to summon the ancestors of oppressed people by the oppressors because "not all white people have oppressive ancestors"

If those white people have ancestors that weren’t oppressive (which is possible but very unlikely), then there is a chance they came from across the sea on their own and not with Columbus and them, meaning their people came from europe, and there are plenty of religions there. And even if they’re ancestors lived through slavery times and never bought a slave, that still doesn’t give them the right to practice. White people always try to twist things so that it can be ok in their eyes to do whatever they want.

In conclusion, remember white witches, 🗣Just because you contact your ancestors does not mean it is vodou 🗣and 🗣Don’t contact our ancestors, they are not your ancestors, they are ours🗣

Things I Wish I Had Known When I Started Practicing

Chakras are part of closed practices. Find a different theory on energy centres and how they work. I have my own here but there are many more that exist.

Do your research. Question everything. Don’t follow Tumblr posts blindly. Do your research, make sure that research is credible. Some authors out there are shitty (Edred Thorsson for example). Some Etsy shop owners appropriate. Do your research.

Support minority businesses! Support local businesses!

The best basic herbs to have on hand are: sage, rosemary, cinnamon, thyme, lavender, sea salt. 

For the love of the gods, please ward. The first time you ward, you will most likely sleep upwards of 10+ hours because it is draining as hell but WARD. Wards will keep you safe from entities that seek to harm you.

ALWAYS have a good banishing spell and a good return to sender spell on hand if you need it. Here is Part 1 of a good masterpost on protections and warding.

Always be a skeptic. Don’t just believe things blindly. Is a god telling you they’re an actual god? Question them. Do your research on that god. Always question.

DO NOT INGEST ESSENTIAL OILS. They’re meant to be applied topically with a carrier oil. Don’t ingest them.

Some herbs will interact with your medication if you’re on them. If you’re on medication and want to try herbal remedies, talk to your doctor to make sure that your herbal remedy won’t negatively interact with your medication.

Tarot cards don’t need to be gifted or stolen in order to work. That’s a myth. However, if you feel like you’d like your tarot decks to be gifted to you, do that. Whatever you’re comfortable with.

Your first tarot deck doesn’t have to be explicitly Raider Waite Smith. My first deck was a variation on the traditional RWS style and it allowed me to read tarot more intuitively.

There’s no shame in using a tarot guidebook. There’s 78 cards that’s a LOT to memorize. I haven’t memorized them all and I’ve been reading tarot for two years now. Take your time and don’t be embarrassed to read tarot from a guidebook. I do paid tarot readings and still use my guidebooks.

If you’re worried about wasting food as an offering, it’s okay to eat them. I do it. Many others do it. If you’re still wary about eating the food, if you have plant friends, you can just bury the offerings (especially relevant for chthonic worshippers).

The Theoi website is one of the best for information on Hellenism. Every thing written on that website is cited back to an Ancient Greek text, or even several.

PLEASE PRACTICE FIRE SAFETY. If you’re burning an object in a metal bowl, don’t touch the bowl afterwards. You may burn yourself. Have something to put out a fire on hand should something happen. Don’t burn hair. Crack a window so you don’t inhale smoke. Be safe with fire.

Personalize your spells! If you find a spell on tumblr that you wanna try but don’t have an ingredient, go with your instinct and research what it could be replaced with! Tumblr spells are guidelines and you can modify that shit to your heart’s content.

A Method I’ve adapted for checking and temporarily repairing wards quickly.

All you need is some paper, a pen and something to channel and read the energy (Crystals are a fine example).

Take your piece of paper and your reader and while holding the reader, close your eyes and try to sense the energy of the space and its wards. Transfer that feeling onto the paper.

Once you’ve envision your ward and space, take your pen (keeping your eyes closed) and start scribbling back and forth weaving the energy together in that spot that you see in your mind.

To help find weak spots that need repair I associate certain energy colors and hot/cold signatures with different needs - which is something you can find or create for your personal associations of your wards.

If you do feel an area needs to be repaired, I thicken the scribbling in that area while weaving the energy in my mind. Vice-versa erasing with pen if needed to be cleansed or cleared.

You can also use this method to bind areas or add sigils/runetic protection to the wards.

“Lucky Money” Orange Poppy Seed Cupcakes

a recipe for orange poppy seed cupcakes, with ingredients that correspond to good luck, money and abundance.

ingredients:

* ¼ cup poppy seeds (luck, abundance) * ¼ cup milk * 125g butter, softened * 1 cup caster sugar * 1 tbsp orange rind, finely grated (luck, money) * 3 eggs (good luck, prosperity) * 1 cup self-raising flour * ½ cup plain flour * ½ cup almond meal (money, prosperity) * ⅓ cup greek-style yoghurt * ¼ cup orange juice * candied orange peel, to decorate (luck, money) orange frosting: * 250g cream cheese * 125g butter, softened * 3 cups icing sugar * 2 tsp orange rind, finely grated (luck, money) * 2 tbsp orange juice (luck, money)

method:

preheat oven to 160°C (320°F). line a 12-hole muffin tin with cases.

combine the poppy seeds and milk in a small bowl. set aside for 10 min to soak.

use an electric mixer to beat the butter, sugar and orange rind until pale and creamy. add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. add the combined flour and almond meal. stir to combine.

add the yoghurt, orange juice and poppy seed mixture. stir until just combined. spoon evenly among the prepared pans.

bake for 20 min or until a skewer inserted into the centres comes out clean. set aside for 5 min to cool slightly before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.

meanwhile, to make the orange frosting, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese and butter until pale and creamy. gradually add the icing sugar, orange rind and orange juice, beating well after each addition.

spread icing evenly over each cupcake. top with candied orange peel to decorate.

tips for extra magick:

* the original recipe can be found here. * while making these cupcakes, burn a green candle (money, luck). for extra strength, anoint the candle with a cinnamon or vanilla essential oil before you light it. * keep the eggshells. remove the membrane inside, and leave them out to dry for about week and a half (on the counter, or in the fridge). once dry, grind them up into a powder (you can use a mortar and pestle, food processor, meat hammer, etc). you can use the powder instead of salt when casting circles outside (salt is really bad for grass/dirt), sprinkle some on your plants (the nutrients in the eggshells are really good for them), or use the powder in a jar spell for protection.

Positivity and Good Fortune Spell

This spell is for @ladies-corner-blog I hope you enjoy!💕

Materials

•2 Red or Green candles

•Rosemary Incense (optional)

•Lighter or matches*

•Cauldron or fire safe bowl/container

•Dried Bay leaf (wishes)

•Dried Mint leaf (blessings and fortune)

•Dried Chamomile (blessings, balance, positivity)

•Dried Lemon Balm (fortune, success, good luck)

Instructions

Place your cauldron onto the alter with your two candles placed on both sides of the cauldron and light them. Take yoir mint, chamomile, and lemon balm and place them inside the cauldron. This works best with dried, whole herbs but may work with crushed versions as well.

Finally take your bay leaf and either write or infuse the leaf with your intent. Light the bay leaf on fire and place inside the cauldron. (*Warning: Fire caution and safety should be used here, you should have a cauldron cover and or fire safe lid on hand in case the flames become too big or the resulting smoke it too much. Please be sure to use a reasonable amount of herbs in this spell as not to create too large of a flame.) After the flame is lit you may feel free to recite any chants or prayers you feel may help inhance the spell. This step is optional but it should be noted that that chants/prayers can help boost a spell.
