Beyond disappointed in Skizzleman with what he said during his stream. I am also disappointed with the amount of trans people I have seen defending his actions and saying that they are not bothered by the idea of supporting a man who does not believe they deserve rights.

The USA is at a very critical time in politics right now and I don't think many people realize how deep bigotry runs, including Skizz himself.

That is not a defense. He has transgender friends, he knows how transgender people are being affected. Yet he has openly MAGA mods and refuses to "get political" so that everyone feels safe. To intentionally foster an environment for bigots is disgusting, especially when so many of his supporters are trans. And saying that he does not want to get political over human lives is even more disgusting and cowardly.

I am, as a transgender person, a political statement. That is what I have been reduced to. Every day my lungs expand and every night I go to sleep knowing I will wake up I am a political movement, I am a revolution. I am a living riot. I have never had the privilege to not be a political statement. So why can't he be brave enough to be political for once? Because he doesn't truly care. It bites like a bitch, I know. But he doesn't. And to defend him even though his silence has made his stance clear is really sad.

He has not defended us so I will not defend him. There is no space for neutrality on human life.

An anonymous trans donator asked skizz if he'd say a "trans rights" for pride month and he softly shut it down saying "this channel about good times good vibes, and not anything political. I've got nothing against anything, I've driven that home."

I know it's parasocial to be disappointed that a man in his mid 40s considers queer rights a political topic and it doesn't mean I won't watch him but,,,,, I couldn't help but feel my heart sink a little as that played out live. Skizz says he wants to bring happiness, and joy, and that's literally all this person wanted. A firm, no room for doubt affirmation that Skizz sees and cares for his trans fans. I don't think he's transphobic, but I do think he has a misconception about why saying "trans rights" matters, and why it SHOULDNT be political. Pride month exists for the same reason there's a women's month, and a black history month, and a Juneteenth, and a Veteran's Day. We are lucky to be alive, and we're still fighting for our rights to this day, so we need times to just celebrate our continued existence.

And like,,,, I'm sure that he's heard a lot online but the discussion on trans rights is only political because basic human rights are being denied to trans people for no reason other than bigotry. We want basic human rights for all, for trans people, gay people, disabled people, people of color. We want the standard of care the government and its services and the businesses of our country to be better, more accessible, and affordable for EVERYONE, regardless of gender, race, political belief, religion. The fact that THAT desire is a political matter is because politicians keep denying it.

There were also members of his chat that subtlety ragged on the anonymous donator, saying it was "weird" and "cringe". I have no words for them.

I know Hermitcraft is supposed to be a safe space, and a place to get away from the world's problems, but so you know what is counteractive to that? Bigotry. Transphobia. There are so many young queer fans of hermitcraft, and to say that their existence, this one little piece of affirmation isn't allowed, is insulting and disheartening. Good vibes isn't all free speech and being neutral, it's explicitly saying "you are safe here. I see that you are in danger and you are safe."

I will also leave this video here because I think it's important to be firm about keeping bigotry out of your community, regardless if it means you get less viewers or are seen as "political"

something that REALLY irritates me is when neurotypical people get into ND spaces and start using terms for our symptoms for their normal human experiences.

Like they almost brag about how their intrusive thoughts made them cut their hair but then tell me I'm weird for the legitimate, debilitating, intrusive thoughts I have dealt with.

They talk about their new hyperfixation but judge me when I say I was so obsessed with a show I was failing math because I was constantly watching it or thinking about it.

Or they talk about their special interests that change throughout the week and look at me strange when I tell them that I've based my appearance and my room off of my special interest of six years and that the only reason I don't talk about it super often is because of how I was shamed for it.

Or they joke about how easily they get overstimulated but laugh at me when I mention how I almost had a meltdown because there was three people talking at once around me.

Using terms used to express ND symptoms when you're experiencing things that everyone, NT and ND people both, experience, is just shitty. STOPING USING DISABLED PEOPLE'S TERMS AS JOKEY SLANG!!!! OR I WILL NUKE THE EARTH!!
