How do you guys know how many headmates you have? We have a huge number, and it would be impossible without simply plural. Even then, I would still consider it really hard. We don’t really remember who we talk to unless they’re on our layer.

Just now saw this lol, whoops! Anyways we've answered this before on our other blog but we'll go into more depth here!

We basically have people who's job it is to keep track of population numbers in certain areas or systems. We coined a term for this over at @alicecorpseliddell, you can find it here.

We have many different people with this job and every so often someone will get all the numbers from them and add them up to get our current total estimate.

Our headspace doesn't have layers (anymore, L, immutagenic moment) which makes keeping track of everyone a lot easier since we can break stuff up by island/county/city/etc and even more by side/hemi/sub/etc system AND everyone is able to easily communicate with eachother now.

The population numbers also only consist of permanent residents, so we usually have a bit more than our number at most times since we get visitors in forms of both soulbonds and soulsystems/system travel/system hopping.

Though there is one system+area that is an exception simply because they refuse to interact with the rest of us much. The last time we got a count from them was like 4 years ago and it wasn't even confirmed, just a guess. And we're unsure how thyr splitting patterns compare to the rest so we can't even try to guess based on their old guess.

Yes, multiple. A lot of people who have problematic sources or have done bad things in source still identify with the actions and choices they made, even if they wouldn't make them now/here. Though there are a lot of people who also don't. It's probably about a 50/50 gamble on average.

🤍 — Is there anyone who has a distinctly different voice/accent than the rest?

The most distinct is definitely Faith (the one the question is made after) since she has a pretty strong British accent when speaking with the body. But Ludwig is probably also easy to tell based on voice since his is a lot deeper than most!!

Yep!! We have both regular ass phone numbers + email(s) and social media apps.

We kind wish we had more just general endogenic headmates to piss people off honestly (for context we're a primarily traumagenic and walk-in/soulbond based system)

Oh also more songenic headmates!!! We just think songtives are so cool and wish we had more.

Haha, yeah, definitely. Though we've decided in order to minimize fighting it's "first come first serve" so if you want a specific emoji you better front and claim it otherwise someone else might take it

We do have some cishets, yes, with our number count it'd be nearly impossible not to. But they're few and far between, I think. Most of us are queer in some sort of way.

Collectively we flipflop between liking and disliking the term "alter", some individuals love it while others hate it and we just kinda are indecisive about it collectively. The main reason we don't like it when we don't is because it reminds us of "alter ego" and "alternative" and we feel like that's not an accurate description of us, we (mostly) aren't variants on one person or something, we're our own individual people

We collectively hate the term "part" however. It makes us feel like we're broken and not whole. It makes us feel like other people see us as a big shattered mirror and not a bunch of small individual mirrors. It just feels kinda ableist and icky to us.

Yes!! Most headmates have their own personal religious beliefs, enough to the point it's a custom field on simplyplural!!

Most headmates tend to lean towards being polytheistic or autotheistic, if you're wondering. But we do have a strong amount of monotheistic people with varying religions and beliefs! You'll find at least one of everyone here, I'm sure /lh

Yes, quite a few. If they front they're forced into using it to get used to it, but if they don't they usually stick to technology they're used to in headspace. Most of the time it's because they're from sometime or someplace that didn't have the same type of technology (whether it be less advanced, none, or more advanced) and so they just aren't used to it!!
