Of course, kid!!
I'm very proud of you for still cleaning, good job bubs! <3
Tumblr media
I also struggle with being overwhelmed when cleaning, I found the app "goblin tools" helped me a lot. It's completely free and makes a step by step checklist out of every task!
Another strategy that helps me is cleaning in a specific pattern, for example: first clean up everything green, then everything red, then everything blue, etc.. it doesn't have to be colors though! I also used tactile sensations (soft, rubbery, etc), and emotions (everything that makes me feel silly, happy, annoyed, etc.)..
This way of cleaning makes me feel less overwhelmed, bc I do it one step at a time.
I hope this helps!!

Hii! I don't want you to misunderstand this but why do you like being a caregiver? I mean i regress bc of trauma but what exactly makes you like being a caregiver? How do you feel when you're someone's caregiver? Do you like to have power over them or you just genuinely want to help someone with their mental issues? I'm asking this genuinely bc i really don't get it (also being a caregiver would be way too exhausting for me personally so i really don't understand it lol)
Hi, I don’t mind this at all! To start, all of this is my personal thoughts and experiences with it. I only speak for myself, even if I may say ‘us’ or ‘we’ when referring to caregiving.
For me, it is also a headspace. Not to get too far into details, but my kindness has been taken advantage of, and I learned to withhold it quite young. I had turned into a rather closed off and unfriendly person for my safety, and I began to think I truly was bad. However, when I have that chance to help someone, to put down my walls and be kind to them, and know that it helps them, I also feel like I am healing too. To be trusted with someone’s traumatic headspace and knowing that I can help heal the hurt they’ve dealt with is very, very comforting to me.
I genuinely do want to help them. I want to take care of them in whatever way they need, and I am the one who is honored to be trusted with the title of being a caregiver.
I truly do enjoy it. It’s cathartic, soft, and healing, and even if I don’t regress, I feel as if it helps ease my own inner child too. The same way a tiny can get into headspace without a CG, I can get into CG headspace without a tiny. I just feel soft, and gentle. I want to care for them, and protect them from harm. Knowing I can do good to them, to help them and hopefully build up pieces they never had is my joy. They are my joy, in and out of headspace.
It just makes me happy. Very happy, to help when I want to help the most.
Thank you for asking. ☁️

Tips for my littles who are struggling mentally:-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
༺♡༻ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─── ༺♡༻
✿-If you don’t feel like showering but hate the feel of grease in your hair, try rinsing in the sink. Try and wash away the oils with water even if just a little bit.
✿-If you struggle with binge eating, especially when stressed, NEVER plan a diet or a “redemption” activity (fast, workout, etc). For my eating problems, documenting my bests and my lows without critique is the biggest first step.
✿-For those who can’t shower for too long (physically or mentally not having the ability/energy), get a chair, and I recommend focusing on the hair first. Wet your hair with water for a bit, shampoo it and rub till oils melt and mix with the shampoo, clean your body with soap, and wash it all with just one rinse.
✿-If you struggle with anxiety, especially regarding public speech, try lining up some stuffies or dolls (anything human or animal-like works), and give speeches to them, as if you’re actually talking to real people, express your hidden opinions. This is not the same as talking in front of actual people, but a good head start for people with severe anxiety.
✿-Never do anything if you don’t feel like it (not talking about crucial responsibilities), if you can’t workout today, don’t. Didn’t journal today? That’s literally fine. Too tired to cook? Order food if you can. Point is, pushing yourself to do optional things just to look good is more physically/mentally draining than people realise it is.
✿-This will sound niche, but sleep is SO crucial. If you can sleep, do it. I see sleep as slightly more important than food, the effects of under-sleeping are actually horrifying if you search it up. Personally, lack of sleep worsens my binge episodes, as I have to eat more frequently and in quantity to compensate.
✿-If you struggle with anxiety/panic attacks/emotional overload, try playing Tetris/solve-match/puzzles.
✿-Speak aloud, even when no one’s around. Help yourself process your feeling to not get overwhelmed. This also helps with memory retention, I repeat stuff to myself when I study.

Shout out to people who are permanently regressed, to people who always have a small part of them regressed, and those who are constantly switching between different regression ages.

"Excuses" that I've used for my Little Gear since becoming a Regressor:
Pacifier: It was a joke gift from a friend.
Teething Ring/Chewlery: It helps my anxiety. I have a habit of chewing my cheek. I like the sensation of biting.
Stuffies: I really like this character/animal.
Kids Toys: I used to have this toy when I was little. I used to love these toys as a kid. I've started collecting them.
Dips: I don't like stopping on long road trips. I get anxious about accidents when I get stuck in traffic.
Sippy Cup/Bottle: It's more fun to drink out of than regular cups.
Kids Coloring Books: They're more fun than adult coloring books. I really liked this show/character as a kid.
Baby Plates: It has my favorite childhood cartoon on it. I hate when my food touches.
Baby Foods: I wanted to try it. I loved these as a kid. I used to eat them from my younger sibling when they were babies.
Onesie PJs: I get really cold at night. I think it's cute on me. I love this pattern. It's comfortable.
Anything along the lines of "I thought it was cute/cool" or "I have younger siblings/cousins" also works too!
At the end of the day however, why you buy something shouldn't concern others as long as it's safe for you and makes you happy!

Agere Baby Formula!
Tumblr media
I know a lot of regressors (including myself!) can be as young as a few months old! Actual baby formula isn’t very good for us and can make us sick, so I found something we can use that tastes and smells basically the same!
(Warning: make this when big! It deals with the stove and you wouldn’t want to burn yourself :c )
Ingredients:
Tumblr media
Hot Water
Klim Powdered Milk
Honey
Brown sugar (or white sugar if you like)
Cinnamon (Optional)
Vanilla [The actual thing or essence] (optional)
Directions:
Boil about 12oz of water in a small pot. Once the water has boiled, remove from the heat.
Add 4 tablespoons of Klim powdered milk. Stir until all clumps have disappeared
Add four teaspoons of your choice of sugar. (Less or more depending on how you like it)
Add one tablespoon of honey. (This helps thicken it a bit and makes it smoother)
Add your optional ingredients! A sprinkle of cinnamon or some vanilla!
Transfer to your cup/bottle/sippy and enjoy!

Not specifically agere themed but I really love Bob Ross, he is such a calming person and also gives advice like this which I love following hehe ( ◜‿◝ )♡ and he makes pretty art!
Try your best to always be yourself, then you'll find the right people who will always stick by you <3

Friendly reminder:
If people don't like your regression, that's not your problem! It's your mind and body, and as long as you're not actually hurting anyone nobody should care.
Ignore haters, be yourself! They're just jealous they don't have the courage to be little like you do. Don't give the haters attention, just block and report, don't reply or engage. They'll get bored and eventually go away.
It doesn't matter what they say, they're just some rando on the internet. They can't hurt you if you just block them. Don't rise to their bait, they just want a reaction because they don't have anything better to do with their time. Don't reward bad behavior with a response.
Love yall!

Ignore the "cringe". Carry that plushie around.
Really. I've taken Caiden and Jaiden everywhere with me for a bit over 3 years. The worst reaction I've gotten is people staring. Majority of the time, people will just ignore it.
But then there's the times I've had people come up to me and tell me how cool my plush looks. Or ask questions like how I got it, is it based on anything, etc. When I tell them its my own characters, they think its awesome. Take your favorite anime doll to class. Sit down to eat with one of your stuffed animals.
I'm posting this because I saw someone post about how their waitress brought a booster seat for their Pomni plush, and someone else said they needed to "act like an adult." Don't let anyone tell you to lose that inner child. Its more fun being "cringe" than trying to be "normal."

What's a babysitter in the agere community and what tips can they use.?
Tumblr media
A babysitter in agere is a type of caregiver who babysit regressors, and they are generally a lot like "regular" babysitters.
They might look after the regressor while their caregiver is away or busy, assist caregivers who sometimes need help taking care of their little one, or care for regressors who don't have a cg. It is possible to be a babysitter for more than one regressor, and some babysitters also look after multiple at once.
In a lot of cases, the babysitter will act as a secondary caregiver for the regressor.
Since babysitters are a subtype of caregivers, they will be able to use a lot of the same tips. Here are some posts that might be useful to babysitters (and caregivers in general):

Some ideas for age-regressing while cuddling with a stuffed animal!
Create a cozy atmosphere! Dim the lights, light some candles, or play soft music to create a calming ambiance.
Find a comfy spot! Curl up on a couch, bed, or chair with your stuffed animal.
Use a weighted blanket! A weighted blanket can provide extra comfort and security.
Wear soft clothes! Choose soft, comfortable clothing to enhance the feeling of relaxation.
Listen to calming sounds! Play white noise, nature sounds, or soothing music to help you relax.
Imagine a safe and comforting place! Visualize a happy and peaceful scene, such as a sunny meadow or a cozy cabin.
Talk to your stuffed animal! Share your thoughts and feelings with your stuffed animal as if it were a real friend.
Trace patterns on your stuffed animal! Use your finger to trace patterns or shapes on your stuffed animal's fur or fabric.
Rock back and forth gently! Rocking can be a soothing and comforting motion.
Breathe deeply! Focus on taking slow, deep breaths to calm your mind and body.
