cas feeling like he doesn't deserve to live because of the things he's done wrong is shattering my heart into pieces. all this time he's done nothing but his best and tried to protect humanity and the ones he loves without ever caring what happens to him. he was willing to make enormous sacrifices, he knew that opening the gate to purgatory might kill him, but he thought it was the only way to save everyone and he was ready to do whatever it takes for that.
even in purgatory, where everyone starts to give in to violence and bloodlust, he did everything he could to protect dean. and in the end stayed back because he didn't feel like he deserved to be free, to go with dean and stay with him.
and now that he's back he's going around healing people because that's what makes him happy. helping, saving, giving, loving. and he still feels like he doesn't deserve to live or be around the people he loves the most.
#supernatural#castiel#castiel angst#god why couldn't more good things happen to him#...probably shouldn't ask anything from him should I

When that old lady tells Dean he’s so obviously In love with someone and it’s supposed to be Amara or whatever but all the context clues point to CAS. Immediately after that scene he talks about CAs. The accidental gay subtext is crazy.😭They really tried to get him with a girl but it makes destiel look more cannon instead.

cas saying he wants to be a hunter too and claiming he cound be their third wheel when in reality he and dean wound go on with their romance very intimite friendship thing while sam would either sit on his laptop or do some crazy dangerous shit on his own

yknow what how about season 16 not being the 16th part of that shitshow and just an alternative universe. lets start over !
it would be like the "what if dean doesnt say yes to michael" universe but instead lets make it "what if dean kissed cas one of the times he came back from death" universe

i am imagining a scenario (pre destiel getting together) where dean is venting to someone, maybe donna, about cas going off and doing something dangerous without talking to him about it. take your pick of which particular incident. and cas does this for a lot of reasons which mostly involve being raised in a military cult, but it still reads to dean as a rejection of equal partnership.
so he’s venting! and donna is like *minnesota accent* “well of course you’re mad! who wouldn’t be? if doug had been pulling that kind of nonsense he’d have been in the doghouse for sure!” to which dean sighs and responds, “he gives me those sad eyes and i always end up caving. and he’s an angel. it’s not like i can make him sleep on the couch for a week, the guy doesn’t even sleep!”
and they continue having their spa night and dean is caught up in the girl talk and relaxing and having fun so it’s not until he’s laying in bed that night trying to sleep that he notices. and then he spends 45 min staring at the ceiling thinking “why did i say that. even if he slept I couldn’t kick him out of bed. because he’d be in his own bed. obviously. also that’s crazy i’d never kick cas out of bed. why wouldn’t i want to be safe and protected and know exactly where cas was? in this hypothetical. that doesn’t even matter anyways because angels don’t sleep.”

Walking Style & Energy for Writers
Swaggering — Confident, maybe too confident; the walk of someone who knows they’re being watched. Shuffling — Tired, aimless, or just trying not to be noticed. Brisk — All business; fast, focused, not here for small talk. Limping — Physically injured… or emotionally carrying something too heavy. Floating — Graceful, soft-footed, almost dreamlike. Dragging feet — Reluctant, dreading something, or emotionally drained. Stomping — Angry, forceful, not subtle about it. Skipping — Childlike, carefree, or pretending to be. Sneaking — Quiet, calculated, trying not to disturb or be seen. Staggering — Drunk, wounded, or overwhelmed. Pacing — Anxious, indecisive, mind racing too fast to sit still. Marching — Determined, controlled, ready for a fight or a mission. Wandering — Lost in thought, aimless, or avoiding something. Swaying slightly — Nerves, exhaustion, or maybe something deeper. Frozen mid-step — When fear or shock stops them in their tracks.

Full offense but your writing style is for you and nobody else. Use the words you want to use; play with language, experiment, use said, use adverbs, use “unrealistic” writing patterns, slap words you don’t even know are words on the page. Language is a sandbox and you, as the author, are at liberty to shape it however you wish. Build castles. Build a hovel. Build a mountain on a mountain or make a tiny cottage on a hill. Whatever it is you want to do. Write.

Alright, show of hands!
Who wishes Ellen and Jo were still alive, just to meet Jody and the girls?
Ellen could give Jody tips on how to raise teenage girls, while telling stories about what they've been through with Sam and Dean. Maybe talk about how they lost their husbands to supernatural beings.
Jo could maybe be a older sister to the girls. She could tell them ways on how to deal with monsters and creepy old guys who don't know how to keep their hands to themselves. Maybe she could also join Claire on hunts, so they're not alone and can give Ellen and Jody some peace of mind.

Why was Cas the one who saved Dean?
In the show, it was said Cas had the habit of questioning things he shouldn’t and siding with humanity when he thought what heaven was doing was wrong.
So, why would the angels give the most important job, one that would start the destiny of the apocalypse, to the guy who always doubts if they're doing the right thing or not?
Did no one question that maybe it would be a bad idea to the guy with so many strikes on his record be the one to save the righteous man from hell?
Maybe something like,
"...And, as for the rescue mission in hell, that job will go towards Castiel-"
"Castiel? You sure that's a good idea? Isn't he the one that, whenever he goes to Earth, he almost always starts to rebel?"
"While, yes, Castiel has a bit of rebellion streak..."
"I'm quite certain Naomi has a table just for him"
"BUT! He has not caused trouble in centuries and even earned his own garrison. With all that progress, i doubt he'll cause any trouble."
"Still though..."
"Plus, have you seen the man he is meant to save? He definitely falls under the more pathetic bunch of his species."
"Damn. He could be the poster child of daddy issues."
"Exactly. There is no way Castiel will turn his back on heaven for him. And, like you mentioned before, if his odd habit comes back, he can just send him to Naomi to fix."
"I guess you're right..."
"Trust me. Nothing will go wrong with this plan."
*12 seasons of (gay) bullshit later*
"..."
"..."
"Wow, that ended worse than I thought it would."
"...God damn you, Castiel."
"I thought we weren't aloud to say the Lord's name in vain?"
"Shut. Up."
"Geezs. Sorry."

How messed would it be if Dean and Cas did get together in the canon world, but Chuck didn’t put it in the Supernatural books? Like, how he wrote out Sam's addiction to demon blood because it would make him seem unsympathetic.
Just imagine some fan of the series meets TFW because of a case and they see Dean and Cas act a little more ‘friendly’ with each other.
Fan: Wow. You two are almost like a couple.
Cas: We are a couple.
Fan:…what?
Dean: Yeah, we’re dating.
Fan: For how long?
Cas: Almost three years.
Fan: Three years!? But, that was never covered in the series!
Cas: Chunk said that it would be ‘out of character’ for Dean to settle down with someone.
Fan: Dean had a family for almost a year. How more settled down could you get!
Dean: He also said he didn’t know how to add it in and that it ‘didn’t fit in with the element story’.
Fan:…He wrote about you and Sam being stuck on a Japanese game show called “Nutcracker” and how you had to acted out sitcoms…
Fan: He really couldn’t find away to add in a line or something about you two being together!?
Cas: Seems so.
Dean: It feels more like he didn’t want to add in our relationship.
Fan:
Fan: Hm. So this is my villain origin story.

The secret wish is to write a fanfic that someone loves so much they make fan art of it, or to create a drawing that someone creates an entire fic based off of it.

It's kinda funny rewatching the episode "Houses of the Holy" with how they talk about God's will or how there's no such thing as angels, when you already know the truth.
That angels exist. Almost all of them are assholes and don't give two shits about humans, but they exist.
Or about God's, Chuck's, will. This man's will is that he wants to torture two brothers to entertain himself and that if the world has to burn to make it the story more interesting, he will let it.
It's just a weirdly funny messed-up sort of thing how it goes from God and angels don't exist to, they exist, they just suck.
