reading everyones opinions about abbot(t) having been in the military and whether he loves it or hates it - pointing out that he still wears his army backpack with his surname tag on it.

deserved.
Oddly, I am most pleased by Shawn Hatosy's nomination.

Why I think THE PITT characters will exit the show.
*eventually.
Michael Robinavitch | I don't think he will "exit" the show per say. He might take more of a back burner role in the later season and be seen working in the background of some episodes with a few lines but be there all the way to season ten.
Heather Collins | Becomes an attending and moves away to finally start the family she always wanted.
Samira Mohan | Takes on a PhD or a fellowship at another institution.
Cassie McKay | Leaves to make more time for family. With Harrison soon going to college, she decides to slow down and go work in a smaller clinic. Other possibility I thought of was battling a serious illness.
Jack Abbott | Goes on another tour (this time with Doctors Without Borders or as a Reservist) after feeling the familiar relentless need to help those who no-one else can. -> Is one of the only characters to later come back - for a few locum shifts.
Melissa King | Realises how much she has learned at the PMTC but also how much she has lost and towards the end of her run makes peace with what has happened, and the fact that its time to move on for herself.
Trinity Santos | Finishes residency, maybe even stays for a fellowship or one / two attending years before getting the flashy trauma job she always wanted.
John Shen | Takes up an attending position somewhere else either for better opportunities (work-wise or socially).
Parker Ellis | Moves away with her partner who was offered a new job in California.
Frank Langdon | Abby moves away with the kids to be closer to her parents, and Langdon after getting better and managing to get into a good space in life, leaves realising he wants to be nearer to them while they're growing up.
Dennis Whitaker | Passes the torch to the next "Whitaker" after becoming an incredible ER attending but wanting to focus on other side-projects such as the clinic for the homeless he's been working on.
Victoria Javadi | Graduates and realises being a doctor is not what she wants right now. Starts a new job somewhere else.

Can you reshare some of your other predictions?
I wrote about who I thought would leave and when here. I might write a part two for their reasons.

the way everyone dragged me for saying collins will leave after season 1 to me slowly getting excited about her coming back because of peoples posts to it turning out how i predicted. fingers crossed my other predictions DONT come true.
interesting.. why would collins leave after s2 😒🤨
A combination of rumours of the actress possibly not returning and from my view her arc being finished - she'll be an attending by next season and I wish she gets the family she wants. They showed the impact she held in Robby's life and she had some great professional moments on the show. I loved the character but from a writing perspective I think it's always better to let people go rather than keep dragging them through unnecessary drama.

ellis is so soccer coded to me.
Thinking endlessly about Ellis’s “Put me in, coach,” and “Is this your half-time locker room speech?” I know a sports dyke when I see one. Parker what sport did you play. Parker can you hear me.

future 'the pitt' seasons should involve...
christmas the department decorated in red and green. a christmas tree. some staff being annoyed at having to work the day while people like abbot(t) walking around like the grinch but giving the paeds patients gifts and sending others home early just because they can.
a training day a trauma sim day with a mind-numbing conference afterwards. some competition between teams. someone like shen not caring about the rivalry while his teammates shout for him to be quicker ...and then his team ending up winning anyway.
post-summer holidays staffing shortages because everybody is away, the AC being broken and the patients complaining more than usual.
new years similar to the fourth of july with firework injuries, drunk people and a lot of tourists. we'd see the day shift running off after their shifts end while the the night shift raises a hospital provided non-alcoholic beer to celebrate the change of the year.
