Even if it’s finally over, I just want to restate this was a thing. I spliced the Christmas Eve part onto CN Archive’s infamous week of December 25th post, just to see the magnitude of the idiocy of these guys at the network. When I said this channel had gone completely rotten, I meant it, and this is the reason why: They stake literally everything on this show. It’d be something if it were actually good like early SpongeBob, but even in its early days, even if you ignore the previous animated series, it never really had the kind of charm worthy of a “favorite show”. I am seriously praying that the 100% 7-day marathon doesn’t become a thing, but at this point I have very low hopes of this network ever being salvaged...

With the only break in the schedule coming up, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on this. The marathon started Sunday, on Christmas Eve. It’s going to last until THIS SUNDAY. Count me among the others who have completely abandoned hope for this rotten channel. Yeah, I went there. I was able to push through the slippery slope when they added live action movies. I managed to survive the infamous CN Real era. Even the other two subpar reboots didn’t irk me as much as this. Literally, the only conceivable way this can get worse is if it's 100% TTG for at least seven days. But they're not stupid enough to do that. Right? RIGHT? I’m starting to lose my sanity with this fetish they’re having for this show...
As much as I’d like to claim this is a practical joke, this is the ACTUAL CARTOON NETWORK SCHEDULE FOR CHRISTMAS DAY TO NEW YEARS EVE.
H-how?! This is a marathon of EVERY EPISODE (all 203) of Teen Titans Go! repeated 2.5 times in a row. Who asked for this? Who asked for “instead of a decent or just remotely tolerable Christmas schedule, maybe with some of those old specials we put on the app, let’s just run a show we have already marathoned for almost every other major holiday or premiere this year for EIGHT DAYS??”
I mean seriously, I’m just… shocked. This is seriously like, a joke schedule I probably made to joke around on Discord once. It even has the small bit of Steven Universe.
Oh yeah, there’s Steven Universe. I hope you noticed that. I hope you noticed those TWO episodes it has, both being TV premieres (Sadie Killer, Kevin Party). 1 week before the SU half-hour special that will probably get super-hyped by CN. Those two episodes makes this schedule just even more absurd. The TTG marathon could have stopped that day. It could have stopped after SU. But nevertheless, it persisted.
New Years Eve is the absolute stopping point for the marathon. Unikitty! premieres on the 1st and will start getting all the attention for a month at least. So there’s an end. But still. Eight. Fucking. Days. I don’t mean to curse on a blog about, well, Cartoon Network. But still. EIGHT. FUCKING. DAYS.
I-I try to find silver linings in every terrible CN schedule. Like that one from August. “At least they’re giving OK K.O.! a lot of trust!” But… I don’t… think I can find a silver lining in this. SU is just aired because it was advertised so and that they need to air those episodes before “Lars of the Stars” and “Jungle Moon” the week after. So, here’s my attempt at a silver lining for this… you don’t need to watch this. You could be watching the holiday specials that CN posted on their app. Make your own schedule out of that. I could watch “Hey Hey It’s Knishmas” all the doo-dah day if I wanted to.
Yeah, I know. The silver lining is basically “don’t watch CN this week.” But, yeah. It’s got to the point where that’s my suggestion. Good luck trying to catch a Christmas special on Boomerang, btw. Just the app or cable on demand.
2017 has been one heck of a year for the network. You had two new shows! Ben 10 and OK K.O.! First show is alright, second show is amazing! Then Teen Titans showed up! Then the original Ben 10 showed up! Then Regular Show showed up after ending in January! Then Ben 10 and Regular Show disappeared quickly. But that was expected. The bigger surprise is that Teen Titans is still on the lineup.
But the schedule had problems. Teen Titans Go! marathons were getting longer. More frequent. More pointless. I thought there would be some nice stuff for Christmas. I thought the holiday specials they put on the CN app were a good sign.
I shouldn’t have hope.
Merry Christmas!
Here’s what’s new that week:
Steven Universe - Friday (12/29) at 7:30p
Top… 2:
Teen Titans Go! - 384 - 99%
Steven Universe - 2 - 1%
I don’t usually post schedules from over a week from now, but I just had to for this. I don’t think anything will change on the schedule. Maybe the order of which episodes air, but that doesn’t really matter. If there’s something more drastic, like, say, CN ending the marathon early for some surprise reason, I’ll be there to change the pic.

So I’ve taken a couple months deliberating on what could make an All-Star Team for Ash. Inspiration for this is thanks to Bro Gamer’s idea and JPRPokeTrainer98′s video on Ash’s best team. All I did was give them movesets that I think would suit them best. Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball/ Raichu (M) @ Life Orb IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def EVs: 252 SpA / 6 SpD / 252 Spe Ability: Lightning Rod Nature: Timid Moves: Thunderbolt, Surf (Pikachu)/Focus Blast (Raichu), Hidden Power [Ice], Nasty Plot What's an Ash without a Chu? In this case, Bro had Ash eventually evolve him into a Raichu, turning him into an even bigger powerhouse than he was before. Also, this Ash still has a Pikachu to call on, who is the son of his trusty Raichu. Snorlax (M) @ Snorlium Z IVs: 0 SpA / 0 Spe EVs: 188 HP / 146 Def / 176 SpD Ability: Thick Fat Nature: Careful Moves: Giga Impact, Earthquake, Ice Punch, Stockpile Despite being such a huge glutton and Ash being unable to quell his humongous appetite, this guy has always been one of Ash's heaviest hitters throughout the Orange Islands as well as Hoenn and the Battle Frontier. Ice Punch in particular is mighty under his hands. He also holds an honor of being one of only five potential Pokémon to use a special Z-Move. Sceptile (M) @ Sceptilite IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe EVs: 6 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Ability: Unburden Nature: Naive Moves: Energy Ball, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Hidden Power [Fire] Ash's fourth faithful Mega Evolution, Sceptile may have had a lapse of confidence after failing to win over a Meganium, but after he regained his sense of worth he proved time and again to be a powerful fighter. He may fear Ice the most, but Charizard and Infernape are willing to torch any Ice-type that threatens the gecko. Infernape (M) @ Expert Belt IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def EVs: 102 Atk / 156 SpA / 252 Spe Ability: Blaze Nature: Naive Moves: Close Combat, Fire Blast, Gunk Shot, Assist This monkey may have had a terrible first trainer, but he was able to quickly get his vengeance against Paul during the Sinnoh League, proving himself to everyone by taking on most of his nemesis' team on his own. He may not be able to go Mega, but with Blaze providing a powerful boost he doesn't need a Mega Stone to trounce a team. (Side Note: I figured Assist would be a good, if random, move to use with the Expert Belt, which was chosen because of the Item Clause.) Greninja (M) @ Wave Incense EVs: 22 Atk / 236 SpA / 252 Spe Ability: Battle Bond Nature: Timid Moves: Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Water Shuriken, Spikes Ah, who could forget the frog? Greninja could easily be Ash's strongest Pokémon, and with good reason: Battle Bond can be absolutely devastating when played properly. He can take on pretty much everyone and, at worst, come out with a Double KO. Goodra (M) @ Assault Vest IVs: 0 Atk EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 10 SpD Ability: Sap Sipper Nature: Modest Moves: Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Tail While Greninja may be the strongest, Goodra is undoubtedly the bulkiest. He can soak up plenty of damage and unleash a mighty Bide that will almost certainly take down the enemy. Even against Sawyer's Slurpuff that ended in a draw. That's some power. Of course, if going by Pokémon Ash still owns, Greninja and Goodra are out and are switched by Krookodile and Noivern. Krookodile (M) @ Black Glasses IVs: 0 SpA EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Ability: Intimidate Nature: Jolly Moves: Earthquake, Knock Off, Pursuit, Pursuit Even though Champion Ash managed to evolve all his Pokémon in Unova, Krookodile still proved to be one of the strongest of his team. The Dark croc not only has those shades to tell everyone he's not to be messed with, he can back those claims up with extreme ease by shaking the earth and/or biting the enemy into submission. Noivern (M) @ Life Orb IVs: 0 Atk EVs: 252 SpA / 6 SpD / 252 Spe Ability: Infiltrator Level: 100 Nature: Timid Moves: Dragon Pulse, Hurricane, Flamethrower, Roost He didn't have many battles, but I think Noivern still deserves a spot on the roster, at least concerning the "Still Owns" list. Barring Mega Sceptile, Noivern is only one of two Dragon-types Ash still owns (the other being Gible/Garchomp), so he doesn't really many options for that type anyway. (Side Note: I know Draco Meteor is superior to Dragon Pulse in power, but with such a huge drawback is it really worth it? If enough people say it is I’ll switch moves.) Admittedly without the frog Ash’s team takes a bit of a hit, but hopefully this is a good enough team. If anyone has any tweaks or switches for anyone else from Ash’s roster, let me know. Just be warned that the only one I won’t switch out is the Chu, as he wouldn’t be Ash without one. :P

Good lord, this is worse than the rant I did four months back about TTG being the network’s crutch. I mean, I figured they wouldn’t listen to our complaints considering they’ve been desperate to compete with other networks and even a MOVIE RELEASE, but this...I don’t know if there’s a movie or show to compete with in the coming week, but even so this is just overkill. Good or not, OK K.O. is going to get completely snuffed out and swiftly cancelled. I’ve long since abandoned hope for this channel, but if the one shining beacon gets killed because of this nonsense I’m going to facepalm so hard. Also, random question: When did Unikitty get her own show? This isn’t a complaint, it just seems so out of the blue to me.
Normally I wait until Sunday to post this stuff, that way CN’s backdoor is all up to date for the week and everything… but this schedule is so… interesting, that I just HAD to post it early. If there’s anything wrong about Saturday and Sunday I’ll fix it. Anyways:
Here’s the Cartoon Network schedule for Monday, July 31 to Sunday, August 6.
Yeah.
I did not expect this. Nor do I want this.
When I found out TTG had a marathon on the 31st, I was not real surprised. It’s a way to hype up the miniseries. I’m used to day long TTG marathons anyway, nothing surprised me anymore. Or so I thought.
Then I saw August 1st. Once again, I kinda expected a TTG marathon leading up to the Night Begins to Shine miniseries (looks rad) and OK K.O. (is rad) premieres. And of course, Island Adventures would be aired right before, as with any other special CN airs anymore.
Then August 2nd’s schedule came out. I started to get concerned. “Is the entire weekday schedule gonna be just TTG and K.O. for this week?”, I thought.
I was proven right, with the 3rd and 4th’s schedules. “Oh god, will the entire WEEK BE JUST TEEN TITANS GO AND OK K.O.?!”, I worried.
I was wrong. Sorta.
I mean, look, there’s Megamind. Back from a brief run on Discovery Family. There’s that. I guess.
But look at the rest of the weekend. Nothing but Teen Titans Go and OK K.O.. They even pulled new episodes of Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Justice League Action, and The Powerpuff Girls just so they could air an hour more of nothing but TTG, OK K.O., and Megamind. That’s your variety this week.
Now, I want to know, WHO AT CN THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? I’ve never seen any network’s schedule stoop this low. At least when other networks dominate their schedule with only one show for days on end (like FXX with Simpsons marathons or VH1 Classic with 47 days straight of Saturday Night Live) they ADVERTISE it. This is just a regular schedule to CN. That makes it 1000x worse.
Whatever. Reruns of Gumball, We Bare Bears, Ben 10, and most likely Steven Universe return the week after this. So do new episodes of Transformers, Justice League Action, and The Powerpuff Girls. We Bare Bears returns from hiatus, too.
Here’s what’s new new new new next week:
Teen Titans Go! The Night Begins to Shine - SPECIAL MINISERIES - Tues-Fri at 6:00p
OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes - SERIES PREMIERE - FOUR episodes Tuesday at 6:10p, two episodes a day Wed-Fri at 6:10p
Top 3… oops I mean 2 shows:
Teen Titans Go! - 300 - 81%
OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes - 67 - 18%

Well, it's been a few months since I had a video, so here's something new. I figured I'd get the battle between the two new amiibo I got over with, and here it is.. Hope you guys enjoy, and I'll be sure to bring in more battles soon. The song is a Sun/Moon variation of Ash-Greninja’s theme and is available here.

Time for a Status Update
I do apologize for not noting what I got for my birthday until now, but I really need to remember to update this thing. XD
April 2nd was a pretty good day for me. Let me list off the big acquisitions:

First and foremost I got Breath of the Wild. Amazing game, and I’m glad I got it. Especially with the Twilight outfit and the Sword of the Six Sages thanks to my Link and Ganondorf amiibo. Having Wolf Link as a partner is pretty cool too. ^_^

That’s the full roster of amiibo I have so far. Zelda and Meta Knight were from my birthday, while Ryu and Greninja were purchased later on. Also, two battles I meant to show back in April:

Also recently I got into the whole Funko Pop craze. Decided to get three figures, which are shown below:

From left to right: Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black, Peridot, and Mega Man using Quick Boomerang. Three franchises I enjoy a lot, and I’m glad I got figures from them. Black in particular looks absolutely amazing with the energy blade on his right hand. Not sure if I want to get the other three Copy Abilities for Mega Man (Fire Storm, Ice Slasher, and Thunder Beam), but there’s always Christmas for that, along with others I may want, like Lapis, a Glow-In-The-Dark Super Saiyan Goku, and maybe even an unmasked Spider-Man from the Homecoming line I really enjoyed that movie. I’ll try to ask for more amiibo as well, but I’m liking these figures. XD

Okay, this one needs a bit of explanation: Melee and Brawl have had fighters that were excluded from later installments for various reasons. Some were superfluous to other characters, others were simply gratuitous cameos. In the Ice Climbers' case, however, it was due to technical limitations of the 3DS and wanting to have an equal roster. Whatever the cases, people were able to bring all of them back in some way except for Pichu and Ivysaur. I'm glad the community has come so far, and that most of the one-timers (and the Ice Climbers) are able to come back in some form.

Cartoon Network and Teen Titans Go: A Rant on Overreliance
I figured it was time I did a little segment on how relying too much on a single product can be detrimental to a business in the long run. Now, I will admit that relying on a product can work, if the product is GOOD. However, I’m obviously not the first to scream that Teen Titans Go isn’t a good product. I’ll also admit that it actually wasn’t as bad as it currently is a few years ago when it was just starting. There were a few decent episodes and the crap wasn’t as blatant. However, sometime along Season 2 the writers decided it’d be “brilliant” to attack the critics. Thus, Let’s Get Serious was written, and eventually aired. That’s when things went downhill, and fast. Again, episodes like Some of their Parts and the Lady Legasus episodes were gems, but they were getting more and more rare amongst the utter crap the show was stewing in. Of course, it’s not just about the quality of episodes, or lack thereof, I’m ranting about here. It’s Cartoon Network’s absolute insistence of relying on this one show, to the detriment of other, objectively better shows such as Regular Show, Adventure Time, and Steven Universe, the first two actually getting cancelled because of TTG’s overexposure. It’s even gotten to the point that even SPONEGEBOB SQUAREPANTS HIMSELF is less overexposed than this dumbass reboot. I suppose I should start at the beginning. It wasn’t as bad as it was now, but even in early 2013 the budding Teen Titans Go was choking out some of the then-existing DC Nation shows, like Green Lantern and Beware the Batman. Eventually the block was axed, and the shows lost to the mists of time (thank whatever god exists that Toonami was able to re-air BtB before CN wrote it off completely). I believe the first real sign of overexposure was the gaining of a specific tagline: Your New Favorite Show. This one line skyrocketed the hatred to rival even the CN Real fiasco four years prior. Around this time, it and The Amazing World of Gumball (admittedly a decent show) dominated the lineup so much that nearly everything else choked out for a while. Luckily, after fan outcry, said choked out shows came back. Unluckily, TTG kept choking out other programs, such as Sonic Boom, which was relegated to a graveyard weekend slot. And even in its early days reruns were constant, with the same few episodes being shown over and over again. This was only the beginning of what would eventually become a frustratingly increasing overreliance on a show that wasn’t even all that great to begin with. Over time, Teen Titans Go has become Cartoon Network’s flagship show and more and more time has been devoted to it, with surprise marathons for the most frivolous reasons, including showing every single episode prior to the debut of the hundredth. Of course, this is a common tactic employed by most network favorites, but because this was during the whole “Your New Favorite Show” debacle all the non-fans were seething, myself included. Even now, despite the tagline being long abandoned, TTG remains to be overpromoted to the point that not even Gumball can hope to regain ground. Discounting Adult Swim, which has its own long-standing issue of showing Fox shows for its first four hours, TTG has been hogging at least HALF THE NETWORK’S AIRTIME on average. Even if this was a genuinely good show we were talking about, in my opinion, giving any one show that much attention is overconfident at best, downright suicidal at worst. Now, I am reluctant to admit that I actually gave this show a chance. However, it seems that reboots in general, at least on Cartoon Network, have been subpar at best. Even the PPG reboot started to suck after a while. Of course, I’m more forgiving of that because, despite the memes, that show wasn’t hyped to the moon and back. In all honesty, if I had to compare shows, Teen Titans Go is the next Johnny Test, except JT was simply bad; the writers never openly mocked the fans or haters. There’s even a fan petition to get TTG, along with the new Yu-Gi-Oh season, transferred to Disney XD. Though why Disney would want this, especially since this is a DC property and Marvel is the direct competitor, is beyond me. At the end of the day, I believe it’s more a replacement of the management that needs to be done. We need someone actually competent to end this everlasting chain of flops. I do greatly apologize for this rant, but we need more people being vocal for someone to actually notice that overreliance on such a show is NOT going to bring ratings. On the contrary, if this keeps up CN may just very well end up going the way of G4; a once glorious network reduced to a shambling zombie filled with crap nobody likes and eventually canned. I guess the one good thing we can take from this is that Samurai Jack has finally made a triumphant return, and that this seems to be the only good continuation, mostly because one of the greats is at the helm.

Okay, now normally I wouldn't do "beatdown videos", as they're rather overplayed, but I had to get this off my chest eventually. There aren't that many fictional characters I absolutely despise that aren't designed that way, but Benson is certainly one of them. If I had to do a "Three Strikes" rule against him, I can pin three episodes where he was solidified as an irredeemable jackass: Best Burger in the World, Lunch Break, and ESPECIALLY Operation: Hear No Evil. That was the final straw for me, as Benson quite clearly crossed a line that no man should. Purposefully spoiling an ending is NEVER okay! I know I'm hypocritical in saying so, but to my knowledge not one of my spoilers was on purpose. Unless they didn't mind, of course. Sadly there's no model of Benson yet, so I decided to makeshift a Mii into him. Beast Boy I don't exactly mind, but it's more that Teen Titans Go is just so overexposed at this point that I think it's cathartic to set up a second punching bag to pound on, especially if it's a 2v1 scenario. I decided to recolor him yellow because what better version to beat down than the mighty Human Shield?

I figured I'd give my nephew's amiibo some rep in Smash, and since what better way than making the Mii Fighters? Admittedly Agent 3 and Agent 5 won't be able to fight each other, but that's more a limitation of mods than the amiibo. Mr. Toad is available to fight too, and I'll probably do a Team Battle with him.

Wonder Trade Saturday time! I don’t know much about the Black 2 run, but apparently the mob got a Shiny Zekrom. A small thing to note, but I always test the Pokémon I want to trade beforehand, and Zekrom passed the check, so I’ll be going for this for the Twitch Pokémon today. Also, Hypno Toad is pretty much a Shiny version of my own Politoed, simply because I couldn’t think of a third Pokémon to trade. :P

Well, time for more Wonder Trades. I’ll be making a habit of doing these whenever AuS goes live, along with giving out at least one Twitch Pokémon per session. Here’s the info on today’s highlight: AA-j: Ah, the famous Battery Bird. If anyone knows about the dreaded Bloody Sunday incident four years ago, I’m sure they’ll know the main cause. However, after escaping the PC’s evil clutches the bird proved itself in battle time and again, laying waste to whatever comes across it. Sadly, since Gen. I didn’t register what Poké Ball a specific Pokémon was caught in all Pokémon transferred to Sun and Moon revert to the default Poké Ball. Still, I hope this mighty bird will serve players well. Hope to see some happy people get the birds!

Once AuSLove goes live tomorrow I’ll be giving out these three Pokémon, one box of each. As to who these three Pokémon are, they’re all from Twitch runs, and I’ll give you some insight on each: Flareon: I’m not sure how many people that know about Twitch Plays Pokémon DON’T know about the original Red run, but, just in case, Flareon was kind of the “Black Sheep” of the run. She was an Eevee from Celadon Mansion that the Mob wanted to evolve into Vaporeon, but instead they used the Fire Stone, causing mass riots and eventually got boxed and released during the infamous Bloody Sunday massacre. Some called her the False Prophet; I, however, believe this lady was a victim of circumstance, and had almost nothing to do with the Mob’s chaotic frenzy. Since she didn’t have any moves besides Tackle and Sand-Attack, I made a Choice Band set out of wholecloth for her to use and potentially be more useful than she ever was in her origin run. DADA: This bad boy was in the Vietnamese Crystal intermission run, a sort of “English bootleg” infamous for its crazy translation. If you know about the Johto games then you should know about the Lake of Rage and the Shiny Gyarados within. In-story, this one served as Baba’s father, Baba being the protagonist of the run. I decided to give him a Mega setup, and I hope some good people get this bad boy. IIAAAIiq--: I’ll call her Iaqo for short. It’s only been five days, but I figured why not celebrate a new run with a special Pokémon? Since this new TPP run involves Chatot, this lady was created only three days into it, first being Wonder Traded during AuSLove’s Wonder Trade Wednesday. Her name is now AAAAAAaaaa, sadly, but this version is from the start of the run. It’s a close enough recreation as I could get it, but I’m glad I was able to set it up. So that’s the three. I hope everyone will be happy with what they get, and I hope I get some good stuff too.

It's been a couple weeks, but here's a new replay. This time with me and my sister. I really need to do more of these, but it's hard figuring out who should fight. Maybe I'll do a team battle next.

Also a quick tangent, but I got into Shiny Hunting today. Got this lovely lady after 139 hooks, caught her in a Net Ball, and named her Feferi. Definitely proud of myself there. I’ll probably go for another later on.

Well, it’s January finally. And a new year means new hopes. I hope all of you have a great first day to this new year.

Even the villagers were excited to ring in the new year. I realize I didn’t talk to Maelle, but I’m sure she’s excited too.

I’m hoping this town will shine brighter than ever this year.

And one last look at the holiday room, with an addition of a cake ringing in the new year. I’m definitely glad my New Leaf town is still going after all this time.

I also kinda got back into Tomodachi Life. I’m probably not going to update as frequently, but I’ll try to at least post stuff again.

And of course, I can’t forget the amiibo battle. With a new year comes a new friend to my roster. I’ll try to make my Lucas amiibo not as spammy on PK Fire, but I’m glad I have him regardless. Once again, I hope this year proves to be better than the last. I have my fingers crossed that our new president doesn’t make things worse.
