You know a lot of people say like don't trust your supervisors and your supervisor isn't your friend and whatever and yeah I agree with that on a surface level

But also my supervisor is cool as shit

We're about the same age, he's legitimately helped me with a bunch of problems

And best of all he's not a fucking snitch

I've had moments where I'm like "yo this is basically trash but it's still metal can I keep it" and he's literally said to my face "I was never here and I didn't see it"

Not to mention the fact that he knows without a shadow of a doubt that like over half of this factory does some sort of substance and he doesn't do anything about it because we're good workers and that would set a precedent

And the fact that I have had genuine deep discussions about the state of my mental health before and he's genuinely like a good and compassionate dude

So like yeah, in general sure supervisors are not your friends but

Sometimes you get lucky

One of my other supervisors, well ex-supervisors cause she transferred somewhere in the company that pays better, is part of the D&D group that I'm part of, she's dming our current campaign (yes she sometimes does go supervisor mode while dming)

I don't know maybe it's cuz it's a factory setting and we're all Union but like

We're all just people doing a job and as long as you're not actively fucking shit up or stirring the pot like

I think it's fine to be like friendly, just don't say anything that'll get you sent to prison
