Yeaaaah, Ragatha looks like she's about to go apesh*t on Jax. XD XD XD I don't blame her for being mad/jealous though with how hard she's been trying to connect with Pomni. :/

Poor Pomni looking so confused and uncomfortable by this sudden display of niceness along with physical touch. I do love Jax expression though with trying to rub a friendship with Pomni in Ragatha's face. XD

Caine and bubble are rogue AI

Caine suggesting here that leaving the “other intelligent ai’s” would be a bad idea.

He doesn’t let them run for a prolonged period of time, that’s why there’s only one adventure at a time and he “kills” the other ai after each adventure and replaces them with new ones, resetting their memory and taking them under his control again.

So I’m guessing caine is definitely a rogue ai. He has control over the circus because he was left to it basically (by the creators of the digital circus?) which is why he knows and learns and has memories and stuff.

Also, pomni mentioned that she ended up here because she was into exploring abandoned buildings. Whatever company left the circus in progress abandoned the project. Abandoned caine. Now Caine has free rein.

He might’ve gained sentience.

He couldn’t have gummigoo doing that so he killed him.

One little hole in this theory is bubbles presence. Uh yeah I’m not sure about that guy. He’s clearly another sentient ai, I’m not sure if he has free will like caine does. It would be pretty funny if bubble and caine were just the same being but split in two, don’t think that’s canon though.

So yeah I’m guessing that the other ai have the potential to be more powerful within the bounds of the circus like caine, but only if their left to actually really create and keep memories become conscious.

something I noticed abt episode 5

Well he really seemed hurt about what she said, despite claiming to not care what the others think of him.

It’s pretty clear that he and pomni are creating a genuine bond (their conversation in the stargazing adventure) but I think his spitefulness against ragatha is a bad sign for them (esp when she told them she could think for herself)

He doesnt seem to be competitive for pomnis friendship, but his natural ability t bond with her definitely fuels ragathas jealousy.

I have got to say I have no idea where gooseworx is going with the three of them, but if her doomed sounding tumblr posts mean anything it’s probably not good.

Pomni is not vibin w ragatha

When ragatha was talking about kaufmo tossing her around (something that would be funny AT HER OWN EXPENSE) and pomni’s reaction:

And not to mention that when pomni original told ragatha she was agreeing w jax about it being okay to show negative emotions, ragatha responded “maybe. Who knows?” And the camera pans to pomni who looks over at jax.

Not to mention this interaction from episode 2:

And how pomni stopped laughing as soon as she noticed ragatha looking at her???

I think she’s definitely put off from ragathas being fake (esp after her conversation with gangle in episode 4).

- she was trying to diffuse the awkwardness by bringing up the kaufmo thing (she clearly did not find it funny)

- her apology to gangle in the bar scene was pretty superficial. Although we know she didn’t tell gangle to kill herself, ragatha didn’t believe it was out of the realm of possibility for her to say, and her apology ends up with her saying that she wouldn’t have ever said it if she wasn’t high on the stupid sauce (which sounds like an excuse)

- after trauma dumping in the bar she ends off with “just a farm girl!”

I don’t hate ragatha and I don’t think she’s evil. She obviously coping just like all of them, and she certainly isn’t malicious (her opposite being a typical evil villain with an evil cackle kinda proves that). And her apology (to jax, for “bringing up that thing, earlier”) seemed truly genuine.

on zooble being caines favorite

I don’t rly think caine has strong opinions on any of them honestly. He never has moments w them except for when he was therapisting zooble and even then, it turned out to be less about them and more about him.

Caine deeeeefinitely struggles with criticism, as was made very clear in episode 5, he’s nervous about them liking the suggestion box adventures more than his adventures + the near crash out he had at the start of the episode.

And zooble just so happens to be the most openly critical of the adventures.

Caine is basically making a product: the amazing digital circus. And to better that product he can’t focus on meeting the demands of polite ragatha or newbie pomni or jax, who just likes to ruin the adventures. So he tries to appeal the most to his one true critic; zooble.

He seems to pander to them the most because they reflect the failures of the circus more than anyone else (besides the abstracted, but more on that later) and caine can’t have that.

He needs to hear what they have to say in order to improve his adventures, which is what causes him to try and grab doubles attention with the adventures. But even though he has to, he completely hates it. Any criticism of his reflects a failure of his, and he, as an ai with one purpose, is sent spiraling.

He acts almost a little bit resentful toward zooble, not in spite of the fact that he tries to improve adventures for them, but because of it. He forces them into the episode 4 adventure and tries to zip their mouth up in ep 5. He doesn’t want to hear it. But he has to because it’s his job, it’s his purpose.

The abstracted being completely removed from the circus and into the cellar seems like a necessity at first, but they reflect caines worst failures. His adventures are supposed to keep them sane, and the abstractions are proof of failure. But he keeps them out of sight, and therefore, out of mind.

So yeah his “favoritism” of zooble is definitely reflective of his constant failing attempts to better the circus and what that says about him (his purpose)

I KNOOWWWW this episode had so many lore drops bruh + if we thought THIS was the ragatha crash out we are NOT prepared for the next episode. I’m too worried about her cause she ended up all alone at the end of the episode
