(Spoilers for FFXIV and DA:I ahead so pls don't read if you plan on playing)

Solas's goal is to tear down the fade, to undo what he did and free his people and old gods.

Emet's goal is to undo what Hydaelyn had done, to rejoin the 13 mirrors to the source and revive his people.

Solas mentions that you're real and it changes everything, but it can't.

Emet slips up, talks about how you wouldn't remember Amaurot, then tells you later that you're just a fragment of his lover friend.

We offer to help both men by finding a different way forward.

Also just remembered that the face Emet wears in Shadowbringers is of one SOLUS YAE GALVUS.

Veilguard Tumblr Stats: The Results

In December I ran a Google Form looking to compare the official Bioware player statistics to those of the tumblr fandom. I received 3031 unique responses, and am now making the results available to you! This was a solo endeavor and I'm so grateful to every single one of you for your participation! All I ask in return is that we keep it positive: this was a fun project, let's keep it that way!

The results are in graphic form under the cut (alt text is available for every graphic). I have also captioned them with the official Bioware stats for comparison purposes where applicable. You can view the raw data in the form of a Google Sheet here. Please note that these results contain major endgame spoilers.

Bioware did not provide hard numbers, but their ranking is: Neve, Lucanis, Taash, Harding, Bellara, Davrin, Emmrich

Bioware stats: 44% freed the archive spirit, 56% kept the archive spirit; 54% had Emmrich become a lich, 46% saved Manfred

Bioware stats: 33% sent the griffons to the Wardens, 67% sent the griffons to Arlathan

Iron Bull betrayed me. Guess that's what I get for not doing his story quests T_T. At all. Besides meeting the Chargers.

And I may or may not have decided to get ALL the expensive treats for Cullen's new doggo- AND VARRIC TELLING CASSANDRA THAT INKY WAS GONNA PROPOSE TO CULLEN I- I'm so emo about them eloping BEFORE the Exalted Council.

SOLAS REMOVING HER ARM was something I was... not expecting to happen, but considering the anchor was being a pain, literally and figuratively (the amount of times I discharged that thing) it definitely makes sense.

I honestly didn't care either way, but I decided to disband the Inquisition, considering just how threatened Ferelden was, and even Orlais' overbearing support would have cracked otherwise.

Ended up going back to Veilguard and used a Save Editor to make my Inquisitor look more like her... well, Inquisition counterpart

YOU DID TRESPASSER, let's go! One of my favorite DLCs in all of gaming. That makes me so happy to see and read about your experiences, and for through whole playthrough of DAI. It's been amazing seeing people relive this game.

YOU CHOSE THE ANGRY OPTION, YES!

I chose the same for my Inquisitor, tbh. That moment finally broke the cool and calm Camilla Trevelyan. AND YOU CHOSE THE SUMALEE VOICE OPTION! Oh, that option is my favorite. It's a hot take, but I just think she sounds so powerful and intense. And the way she delivers this line? Glorious.

I literally teared up at that part. An Inky romancing Cullen, no matter your choices, has this ... vibe. Careful. Posed. Maybe cheerful. And to hear her BREAK? After her own wedding and two years of bliss?

Ellana deserves to feel rage. It's a lot.

And then to lose and arm, TO SOLAS. I was so mad at him. So, so mad. I still was in VG. I know others love him, but I wanted to crack that egg no matter what.

Ohhhh, carrying over Ellana into VG sounds amazing. It is kind of fun to think about your Inky, 10 years later.

I LOVE THAT YOU CAN ELOPE AND THE DOG ATTENDS THE CEREMIONY, haha. But ohhh, that hug he gives her after her breakdown? It is so soft and tender. Man worries for her, so clearly. ;;

I also disbanded the Inquisition, haha. Inky and Cullen deserve some brief retirement. And, of course, Cullen's siblings can meet their new sister-in-law. <3

Vivienne as Divine is so interesting. I would love to learn more about her views on the Circles. While i don't agree necessarily with her approach, I understand the intent and reasonings. All the DAI characters are so well written in that they're all good people, but all with different views, but those views are so fleshed out.

Ough, Bull's betrayal. It hurts.

'Bas', not 'boss.' 'Bas' means 'thing/purposeless' in Qunari. So he was jabbing at us the whole game. (God, the writing is so good it hurts.)

A 'Trespasser-style' DLC for Veilguard would be insane.

I didn't expect we'd lose Bellara. We chatted once. Her thoughts spilled out of her in swirls and eddies. She was delightful. And brilliant. I... I'm... sorry. Making a friend is hard, and losing one, so much worse. (romance) Everyone could tell you were together. That upward tilt of her chin, staring at you. She was fascinated. Losing someone so special... I'm sorry.

Davrin (romance)

No non-romance version because it didn't trigger in my game at all, so I couldn't verify the lines against the script.

I didn't expect we'd lose Davrin. I caught sight of his smile, looking at you, once. The absolute contentment...

Emmrich

I didn't expect we'd lose Emmrich. He was warm. You wouldn't expect a death mage to be so… wonderfully warm. He could throw you in a stone box and talk at you about etherics, and it would feel like being wrapped in a blanket. (romance) I saw you together once. The way his brow softened when he looked at you.

Harding

I didn't expect we'd lose Harding. I once saw her talk six soldiers down from a fight. With just a smile, and a hand on her hip. I said to myself, that one's made of steel. Or... stone, I... suppose... (romance) I noticed her shoulders loosened around you. Her eyes no longer scanned for danger.

Lucanis

I didn't expect we'd lose Lucanis. I saw him on the beach once. Smiling. Basking in the warmth of the sun on his face. It must have felt like a gift, after all that time in a Venatori cage. (romance) I caught sight of the fleeting touches between you. Almost like he wanted to be sure you weren't some fever dream.

Neve

I didn't expect we'd lose Neve. She was so poised. Took everything in with a single glance. Tell you what you had for breakfast yesterday, and where. And she'd be right. (romance) I saw the small, knowing smile when she looked at you. Like there was a secret only the two of you shared.

Taash (friendship)

Isabela: Taash is gone. They're just gone. I can't even remember the last thing they said to me. Isabela: I didn't get to say goodbye... Rook: I'm sorry, too.

Taash (romance)
