Day 2: Up close and personal The 100: Homecoming by Kass Morgan I left this pretty late because I was hoping that my copy of ACOWAR would turn up today, but for the first time, Australia Post has failed me. Ah, well. Maybe it'll turn up tomorrow. In any case, you'll have to make do with a photo of Clarke's face (since it's pretty close up?). Day 2: An old favourite Wild Magic - Tamora Pierce I was 12 when a friend introduced me to Tamora Pierce's books, and they're honestly everything you could ever ask for in a fantasy series. Brave heroines, fun heroes, magic, swordplay, mythical creatures - it's honestly like a big warm hug whenever I reread these. While I adored Alanna, Kel, and Aly, I always identified more with Daine, so when Tamora came to Sydney Supanova last year, I was super lucky for her to sign my copy of Wild Magic! Also featured: Hermione Granger, since I can technically only pick one old favourite for this category but I can't fail to mention Harry Potter in some way! (Do you guys like my little badger too? Day 4: Books with demons I freely admit I'm stretching the definition of 'demon' here, but you know what? Kate Forsyth's The Wild Girl is a book that deserves to be featured. Everyone (quite rightly) adores Bitter Greens (a retelling of Rapunzel), but the story of Dortchen Wild is too wonderful (and heartbreaking) to ignore. If you've got an interest in the Brothers Grimm, or even just fairytales, definitely read this - Kate Forsyth puts in a lot of research to her novels (I had the absolutely fantastic luck to be in a class where she gave a guest lecture last year), and it really does show. (I'll stop fangirling now) Day 4: Favourite bookmark On a different (and much nicer) note, I won this bookmark from @read3rz_revu earlier this year, and it's been serving me excellently. Day 3: Well loved/worn out book It’s definitely A Game of Thrones for me. The book that introduced me to my favourite character, Sansa Stark. Day 3: Mermaid Monday: Books in/near the ocean I don’t think I actually have any books that take place solely in the ocean, but I do have plenty that take place near the ocean! Have CS Pacat’s ‘Captive Prince’ trilogy. Fantastic series, and plenty of representation, which is something I find important in fantasy. Tea! The Night Circus! It’s still raining! Okay, so if you’ve been looking at my Instagram you’ll have seen that I was lucky enough to score a few free samples of tea from Literary Tea Co included with the teas I ordered before.

So I ordered some Jane Austen tea (and some William Shakespeare tea and some Roald Dahl tea), and look what came with them! Little samples of a couple of teas from @literaryteaco ! I've been eyeing up Charlotte Bronte's tea for ages but I figured I'd restrain myself for a bit and let it be a birthday present, but I just know I'm going to love it!
