To celebrate TheESOP’S 15th Birthday this September! here’s one from the archive circa 1997- our co- Founder and Artistic Director Alison Harper with Sandy Moffat OBE RSA on the steps of Glasgow School of Art. Sandy Moffat was the Head of Painting at GSA 1992- 2005 and is now President of TheEsop since 2012. Alison taught at GSA over a 14 year period from 1998 to 2002. Much of what we value and practise in our courses comes from the lineage of the GSA, ranked in the top ten in the world in 2015. As well as the Glasgow lineage we are proud to have our London tutors, graduates from and tutors at the RCA, Royal Academy Schools, the Slade, Goldsmiths and others. We are also delighted that we have now captured Dr Sam Ainsley of the legendary MFA programme at GSA. We have art school quality teaching but with affordable fees, capped class numbers and free art materials!!
