Logically it was either Year Zero or MAOC but I never got into Ghost from them or listened to the full songs, but that's not an interesting story so you get to hear about the THIRD Ghost song I ever listened to: CMLS

I remember it really clearly because it was the start of one of my biggest interests. Like 2 years ago my irl best friend and I started trading music recommendations, I'd offer up so shithead overplayed stuff and they would give me the same in return but it was fun either way. So they start to tell me about this band, and they know that I adore gimmick bands, and for some reason they don't lead with "satanic pope singer and ghoul instrumentalists", they just insist I listen to Call Me Little Sunshine right there in the middle of our history class. So I pull up spotify, take one look at them and basically go 'wtf why do they look like that' which is when I get the gimmick band talk. I don't make it through the whole song before I get told off by the teacher for having headphones on instead of paying attention, but that first minute or so had me enraptured, everything about the song was so beautiful. I promised my friend I would go home and listen to all of their music. Which was only half a lie because I didn't have time to listen to all of it, but I got damn close. I also spent that night googling everything I could about them, and then the next day asking my friend about 50 questions to which they only knew half the answers. A couple months after that I ordered me and them matching Grucifix pins, and 2 years later and I'm a bigger fan than them. Sometimes they message me asking questions, to which I almost always know the answers.
