You know how in Zuko's 1st agni kai against his Father, you get a glimse of the crowd and see every fire nation watches in glee at Zuko being righteously tortured, humiliated, and punished by Ozai.

And as many watched on, his own uncle looks away in sadness unable to stomach how his own brother would treat his own son.

And you see the Netflix version and they look like they're watching Idk probably a tennis match or something

I would like to put it on the record in regards to Avatar Netflix being worse than The Last Airbender. No it's not. TLA airbender is bad in a way that shoulder's heavily on the vision of M. Night that affected its tone, dialogue, scripting, and inability to direct and shoot kinetic action sequences. Say what you will on the story structure and character adaptations in Netflix Avatar, but is has far and away better color grading, costuming, make-up, CG, and action choreo.

But honestly, they have still yet to surpass Ember Island Players in terms of adaptation.

I once described Damian's personality was being a less psychotic Azula from ATLA. And frankly, thats a horrifying image.

Can't believe they watered down her personality to make her more paletable for modern audiences

I liked it better when Katara released Aang from his 100 year slumber through the pure unfiltered rage of a feminist rant at her brother

You can show Ty Lee do gymnastics, acrobatics, circus tricks, chi block, or show Mai's expertise with knife throwing, and stealth. But, no.

They're really are gonna stand there throughout the entire series and constantly give Azula :

"You go girl!!!"

In another note: i totally buy Live Action Kiyoshi (2024) being cool with creating an Earth bending Secret police enforcing the rule of a pseudo utopia

I have like constructive-notes about what they did to Suki in the Live Action ATLA, but everytime i look at her i cant seem to recall them

Would've been nice to see young bumi skip rocks, always thinking about his friends, and show Aang how to ride the mail system in omashu, rather than expecting the audience to know that backstory from the original series. But nooooooo were stuck with Sad Boy Bumi who got really really sad and tried to unaliving both him and aang.

After aang learns from kiyoshi that being the avatar requires brute strenght, what he learns from Bumi in being the avatar... is more brute strenght...........
