So, the other day, when I was discussing AO3's policy on solicitation, a tumblr user came at me saying that AO3's "no monetization/solicitation" rules were "bullshit" because nexus mods allows fan created mods to get paid.

Father’s Day SLADE

Hi guys, as some of you know, I did some stories a couple of years ago centered around Slade and his family, I always have loved this part of his story that has never quite been explored that much in comics but i never quite found an audience or interest, maybe i was making everything too complex, maybe my skills weren’t there or my writing was poor or too hard to follow…idk.

Anyway, i never stopped thinking and wanting to draw more about them and just for this year’s father’s day i let myself go and I made this page. I dont think i will go back to do comics about them or at least not anytime soon but i would like to know if there’s more people out there who like this.

Hey guys/DC mutuals and followers especially.

Last week I made it known that twitter user @/acosmicgarden had previously been exposed in 2023 as a pedophile/child groomer and lying about being a Romani POC.

His (now deleted) tumblr accounts are @/redsofrobin and @/bloodiedsaffron. He posted stuff primarily in the tim drake and timber tags, as well as some interview with the vampire related posts. I just want to make everyone aware as to not spread those posts or his art any further, as he does not deserve that kind of exposure.

At the time he was exposed in 2023, he deleted everything, but he had recently come back to the DC fandom some time last year under a new name, calling himself “Sejah” and pretending to be palestinian.

On top of being a POS and lying about his race, he’d also been scamming people out of money under the paypal username @/Eliosteele (something he also did back in 2023), often times with lies about losing his job or being on the verse of homelessness.

He deleted everything again when word got around last week but I know tumblr doesn’t delete reblogs from other people’s accounts and doesn’t stop posts from being shared even after a blog is deleted.

art can be about taboo subjects. art can deal with something socially unacceptable. art can disturb and disgust. art doesn’t have to be for everybody.

tag your warnings so that people who might be triggered by your art don’t accidentally get exposed to it and you’re all good.

and if people try to shame you for the art you create because it’s “problematic” then you can tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. they read the warnings. they choose to read and engage with your art on their own free will. that’s not your problem.

dark fics and macabre art do not—have never, and never will—reflect artists’ in-real-life moralities.

harassing artists, real people, over fictional things will never make you “morally superior”. it only makes you a bully.

again, censorship has no place in art.
