I've been spending some quality time on the Discworld lately. And upon re-reading some of the books about The Watch, I had to draw me some Lady Ramkin. No offence to the official illustrators, they're great artists and all, but I could never see what I see when I read when I look at any of the artwork out there. So I made my own.

I got a BFA in illustration, with a creative writing minor.

we still get immediately shoved out of our immersion in tv shows or films when The Girl find a dead body and immediately shrieks - we just don't find it realistic because we're pretty confident most people would gasp rather than shriek (i.e. sharp inhale rather than sharp exhale) and it also feels unnecessarily (and predictably) misogynistic too, as men encountering corpses almost never do the same on screen

also of course please do tell us if you've actually encountered a corpse unexpectedly, because tumblr is absolutely a place where some people have done this thing and we love a good anecdote

The whole "You love me? You love me?" interaction where Lisa has to ask twice because she's so used to being unwanted (ouch, same) is cute and all, but at the same time it's like girl. Girl. He literally crawled out of his grave for you Hozier-style. He cried sewage tears when you rejected him. He whacked your stepmother over the head with a sewing machine for threatening you. He chopped off the hand of the guy who assaulted you. He got you off with a vibrator and the next day drove you to your dick appointment despite clearly hating the idea. He killed the guy who scorned you and nearly killed your sister for taking part in hurting you. And you never clocked that he was ass - over - elbows besotted with you? Oh honey.
