December 3, 2022 - Saturday

December will be a great month inshallah, I believe it! So far I have:

tested negative for covid (after 2 weeks 🦠) alhamdullillah

cleaned + disinfected my entire room - feels like a new start

went thru all my income + expenses for the last half of the year 🤧 (exhausting, productive and revealing 😬)

talked with my friend on the phone (she who is too busy to breathe).

little bro returned from trip

Tomorrow the plan is to add a pompom to a hat I knitted, make parchment envelopes to give out the dates my bro brought back from umrah, and maybe even go outside after 2 weeks -wipes tear- (outside pics are from last winter)

Hi! I just started following your blog, I’m also into languages and psych! (I’m double majoring in psych and sociology rn at college). I was wondering how you came to learn the languages you’re currently learning and also besides what you already knew or have started to learn- what language do you most want to speak? I know English and intermediate Spanish and have just begun Italian. I think I’d love to learn Hindi or Gujarati though!

hi sweetheart!! thank you for the follow. i actually wanted to start learning korean because i found a lot of the vocab to be pretty close to chinese (which i learnt growing up as my mother tongue), so i found it fascinating and wanted to pick it up properly. also i used to be a huge nct dream fan and that certainly was a motivating factor too!

aside from english, chinese and korean, i think the other language that i’m really interested in is bahasa malay. singapore is geographically very close to malaysia so i visit it a lot, and learning to speak it would be most convenient.

I've done one essay so far (out of four) and am attempting to gather ideas and research for my other two longer essays as I need to present a plan for them in a couple weeks time. I will have to work allot during the Christmas holiday but I am hoping some of my deadlines get pushed back as currently they are all during the same week...

another really busy day, where i had my usual tuition class and fitted in korean practice and practised piano and did my usual chores and still i felt like there wasn’t enough time!

a Real tuition class today, no false alarms! aside from that i wasn’t super productive, i did touch my korean a little but it wasn’t anything super substantial.

ok the most ridiculous thing happened today — after so much tuition rescheduling i got utterly confused and left the house thinking i had tuition classes today when i didn’t actually. so upon realising my sorry mistake i visited an ice cream shop i’ve always wanted to go to, and caught up on some korean there! i haven’t really been focusing on it the past few days, which i feel a bit guilty about. i also managed to go to the neighbourhood library and borrowed a ton of books! it’s not as good as the one i like going to further out, but it’ll do for today.
