Sooo, idk if this was mentioned in the movie too, but I believe he said he has brought nothing with him to the conclave (Ray had to supply him with toiletries and clothes). As for the bench scene (sorry this is more of a fun fact) he is eating a sandwich :)

Was rewatching the movie - I don't have very good observation or facial recognition so not sure and wondering - do we see Benitez at all between his prayer before the meal and when we're shown him when he gets a vote in the first ballot? There's a bunch of scenes where we're kind of shown the Cardinals, and sometimes focusing on some people in specific. But I'm not sure if we saw him?

(Noticing I think in general/later on also that we don't see him very often outside of specific scenes?)

Also wow, I think he was the only person not among the main candidates who didn't drop from getting any votes after the first ballot.

Also wow, I'm not sure I noticed before how he's like surrounded by empty seats in that scene before the final vote. Also, I think he has the most dust on his clothing at the last vote. At first I thought it was just him but then I saw some on someone else. Lawrence clearly got cleaned up because he had a bunch before. But it makes me wonder if Benitez literally had nothing to change into.

Oh also noticed him sitting alone on a bench near the end. (And then we go to Lawrence also sitting alone on a different bench.) But was wondering if he's having - memories coming up basically, there.
