In the span of two days, America has seen video evidence of police brutality against black lives in the murders to two African-American men, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. I’ve been filled with so many different emotions about these tragedies and I am somewhat fearful for what will come next. Despite my weariness/rage, killing police officers and claim it's done "in retaliation" IS NOT the way to address and solve the issue. I condemned the person who did that here in Brooklyn, and I'm wholeheartedly against the person/people who did it in Dallas. People are lashing out because they truly feel trapped and that other options won't change a damn thing. TO REITERATE, I AM AGAINST KILLING POLICE OFFICERS. Now that I've made it clear, what do we do now??

In this world that is rapidly transforming into a digital realm, I want to remind people why we should take a break from it all and just simply enjoy each others company and embrace love. No social media. Just back to basics. Two people - in each other’s presence. Remember the 1st stages? Being attracted by their vibe, exchanging numbers, the anticipation of the first real conversation which leads to the first date. Followed by endless late night talks and losing sleep. Road trips, Shopping, romantic walks in the city, driving to high points, smoking whilst talking under the moon light while the lights of the city flickers until sun rise. Acknowledging the chemistry and formulating a new bond. Phones go on silent so there are no interruptions. Letting your guard down and being goofy. Understanding each other’s sense of humour. Wanting some alone time, but with them of course. Playing nurse when they’re sick. Falling in love with their scent, and how after you hug them, you can smell it on your clothes for days. The first kiss/the first time you’re intimate. Sharing secrets. Vunerability. Love letters. Surprises. Sentimental gifts. Flowers. Holidays. Talking about them to your friends. Making it official. Introducing your parents. Reading together at night. Random surprise visits. Hugs/Kisses 24/7. Planning for a future. Driving down roads with beautiful houses. That wonderful feeling of knowing that they’re just a phone call away. Comforting each other during hard times & when you’re apart, missing them, which allows you to value & appreciate those special moments you actually get to share. We have become so preoccupied with social media and this digital life, that sometimes we forget the importance of appreciating our real life connections. Put the phone down & spend some quality time with each other & vibe. Nothing compares & nothing can measure. Don’t jeopardise real life connections for this digital realm - If you have something worthwhile, value it, there aint nothing out here b.

Leave them alone, dammit. At the end of the day, it’s just a FREAKIN game. The losing team has every right to be upset, but that doesn’t give people the right to disrespect them. They are people who don’t deserve the b/s that emotional fans give them in moments like this.

Rant: people need to STOP harassing and disrespecting the Currys, and any other NBA family for whatever reason. They are people too, and they do not deserve hate and cruel words that people-excuse me- COWARDS type behind their phone and computer screens. The NBA is in the entertainment industry, and not only that, but it is a business. Things happen for many reasons, but we all should watch basketball for fun and enjoyment. At the end of the day it should all be fun for viewers and players as well, even though it is their careers. I said all this because the negativity is completely out of hand, and I hate seeing people come at families for such foolish reasons. If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.
Okay I’m done. But before I sign off I gotta say: WARRIORS GOT GAME SEVEN🤘🏽💙💛 okay. That is all.
