So excited that my profile on the @united-nations Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed for the Wing’s second issue of No Man’s Land is finally out! She’s not just a badass diplomat, but also the best dressed official at the UN. Her energy and enthusiasm never cease to amaze me.

Tara is one of my favourite skaters, but I disagree with this one. Since the scoring system changed, it’s all a numbers game and figure skating has become less interesting to watch. For the men, it’s all about the quads. Even falling on a quad scores higher than a cleanly performed triple. For the ladies, it’s all about placing jumps on the second half of the programme, or jumping with their hands above their head. I see Evgenia Medvedeva’s tiny jumps scoring higher just because of this system. Airy jumps - even if they’re only triples with hands on your chest - those are considered inferior now.  Even Mirai Nagasu felt like she needed a triple axel to get an edge and that’s still not enough!

It’s been disappointing to watch so many skaters fall because of this. I DO want the sport to evolve, but I’m not sure if the way it’s being done now is the right way. 

If anyone benefitted from the change is the scoring system it was ICE DANCING. I never watched it (full disclosure: I was a competitive figure skater once) and now I’m all over it because that’s the only place where the artistry is still so critical for scoring well. It is also so much more enjoyable when I’m not ridiculously nervous for the skaters - and it’s entertaining. Virtue & Moir over Yuzu and Zagitova any day.

It’s 2018, a big election year, and women are going to be running everywhere. We’re sort of astonished by the numbers, but not by their ambition. They’ll be elected to city councils, state legislatures and Congress and hardly anyone will give their gender a second thought. That’s Hillary’s gift.

Here’s the message she left us. You can have that double dip at opportunity — you can even have a third or fourth chance if things go wrong. All you need to do is ignore every setback and work like a maniac.

Speaking at an invitation-only conference, Les Napoleons, on Saturday, the44th president told the room about “the importance of more focus on putting women in power because men seem to be having some problems these days,” French news agency AFP reported.

Like all witch hunts, it’s trial by drowning. If you sink, you die, if you float – we kill you for being a witch, stupid. Hating her is the end in itself, and her response means nothing. She’s tried proudly owning her reputation, she’s tried parodying herself (see Blank Space and her LWYMMD video) but nothing works. Her reputation is set in stone regardless of her actions – but this is nothing new, for her or any famous woman.

Swift knows she can’t win, so she is content to play up to whatever role will bring her temporarily back into favour – “I’ll be the actress, starring in your bad dreams”. Swift knows her reputation is out of her own hands. Yes, Swift’s new single is a diss track, but she’s dissing us. And we probably deserve it.
