Zuko doodle! On that ATLA bandwagon with the new Netflix show out now so I felt nostalgic and drew everyone’s fire nation boyfriend 😆 I actually think the Netflix show is pretty decent! I think the cast is doing a very good job with the characters so far and I saw a 2nd and 3rd season is confirmed so I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Title: m&m for your thoughts

It’s funny how you can go back to being whatever age you were when you first knew someone.

This man is literally my *boyfriend* and I have a crush on him. Ugh, ugh. Big goofy smile, stammering, the works. I am a grown adult man with a crush on my *boyfriend.*

I look at him and it’s right back to being fifteen and camping out under the bleachers when we should have been in class, talking through lunch and into the next period and the next. He was so shy back then it was like you could crush him if you looked at him too hard, and at the same time he could be so angry and tough. I was a little afraid of him and I adored him. High school.

We didn’t kiss then but we came close. Smell of the hot grass under the bleachers, cigarettes I stole from my dad. (He was always trying to quit so I regarded that personally as a form of righteous warfare. Like yeah, you *should* be smoking less buddy.) I used to swipe snacks for us because I knew how to jiggle the vending machine by my locker in just the right way, there was an art to it. I was always trying to get him to have something sweet and he would give me this look like I was insane, even when it was just a bag of m&ms that had been hanging out in my back pocket all period. He acted like everything was just too decadent. And I just wanted to make him happy.

There’s always this moment just before he smiles when he seems surprised, like yeah, he didn’t see this coming either. And I loved that. I still do.

I remember there was a moment when I thought, “he has a really nice mouth,” looking at it, and then I thought that was maybe the dumbest thing I’d ever thought.

Well, ten years later give or take and I don’t think it was the dumbest idea. I don’t think I was wrong.

Trying to work right now and my brain keeps saying ‘if you kissed him back then he would have tasted like m&ms.’ Which is true. But he also would have punched me.

i started this waaaaay back when i first binged miraculous ladybug. couldn’t get over the dynamic of superhero duo who don’t know each other’s secret identities but do also know each other in their normal lives, and they’re in love but they aren’t but they are they just don’t know it.

you know, i originally was spending so much time trying to think of sokka’s alter ego, and i put grey wolf in as a filler but then i realized how Sokka it was. like this other dude in a costume introduces himself like “hey, I’m the Blue Spirit” and sokka who hasn’t had time to process yet that he’s a superhero and is indeed the worst at naming things, goes, “oh, Blue Spirit? Hi. I’m….. Grey…. Wolf.” and then zuko would be like “You just used my name as a template! You just changed the color and the creature!!!” and sokka’s like “Whaaaaat! Nooooo. No. I actually had this idea before you even said anything, which means actually you are the one copying me!” and zuko demands he change his name, think of something better, but the news is there so it’s already circulating and people are saying what a nice pair they make

The bottom section is a depiction of Sokka and Zuko together as their alter egos, Grey Wolf and the Blue Spirit respectively. Grey Wolf has a wolf mask that covers the top half of his face, a skintight blue, grey, and white suit, with leather straps to hold weapons and white fur on his shoulders and wrists, as well as a fluffy tail. The Blue Spirit is in the canon mask, plus a skintight blue and black suit, with a sword strapped to his back.
