Like I mentioned a few weeks before I am interested in writing an IF and have a few ideas in mind. Since I'm new to all of this I would prefere to gather some info 'bout the vibes in the comunity before I start my writing. I want to highlight again, I do not know if I will even end up writing or publishing anything. I'm a lazy perfectionist, if you know, you know. I do not want to get your hopes up and disappoint you in the end. Still I would appreciate if at least some can answer my questions.
Thank you all <3))

Thank you sooo much for the help! I'm going to be honest I do not plan to release something until I'm 100% sure I can do it. I see this as a way to try and not drop it immediatly because I noticed this is a very big problem of mine. Again thank you very much for the help and it means a lot to me cause I'm a major fan of you and your IFs!馃
Hello everybody~!
Now I have no idea who my post will reach but I need some help and hope some of you guys can give me some pointers.
I want to write an IF. Problem is: I never wrote anything and I tend to drop things when they don't go my way. For this reason I would like to ask for tips from people who have wrote or currently are writing an IF.
How should I plan it? What best way to learn coding (I know the basics but I don't think they will be enough)
It's not a decision I did over night tho! I've been thinking of writing something for years but school and privat stuff has kept me stressed and with little freetime. Now that my six weeks of holidays are about to start I thought it would be the best time to learn.
I already have some ideas in which direction I will go but my problem really is writing my thoughts and ideas down. On top of that english is not my first language, meaning it won't be perfect and there will be thousand of mistakes!
Sooo like I said earlier I would like some help on how I should structure and plan my writing and how I best upgrade my coding skills. I've read plenty of IFs the past few years and have noticed a lot of them start without planning, make a tumblr page and drop the IF after the prologue because they don't know how to continue.
I would appreciate every help to avoid that mistake and hopefully manage to write something nice in a few years!
Thanks to everyone who reads this and can help out!
Now I want to recommend some of the best IFs I've read so far: @darkfictionjude (every IF is fucking gold and writing style makes me feel things I've never felt before) @infamous-if (Can't get enough) @pressplay-if (Marry me) @exilethegame (One of my first IFs that got me hooked like an addict) @vendetta-if (As a german russian I appreciate the IF sooo much and the story awsome!) @drinkyourvillainjuice @lightweaver-chosen-if @bloodlegacies @shepherds-of-haven
