Full View Best I'm low key learning to love my painted, sketchy, loose style. I think I've had a bit of a love hair relationship with it up until now. I definitely want to develop my more polished style more as well, but I am starting to love both. Anyway, had this sketch sitting around of Colton and I really love how it turned out. Very smokey battlefield / Colton just blew some shit up and you should be running feel I guess? The messy painting style just helps it. Patreon Launch Date Decided!

Good morning, good morning, Koy here.  Yeah, I’m alive.  I’ve got some very exciting news that I wanted to share with all of you.  Thursday, June 18th, I’ll be launching my Patreon Page.  This has been something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time and I am finally in a place where I can.

For those of you who might have been living under a rock and don’t what Patreon is it is a crowdfunding type of website that allows artists to set up a subscription system with rewards for the members that they can’t get anywhere else.  In return, they earn a more stable and sustainable income from their members or Patrons.  In this day and age, I known money is hard to come by, so I am trying to keep Tiers reasonably priced.  For as little as $1 USD you can get exclusive Patreon and behind the scenes content, access to my discord server, early access to art done by me, and downloadable coloring pages.  Each Tier adds new benefits and gains the benefits of all the tiers before it.

This does not mean I’ll be ceasing posting art on other social media, nothing of the sort but there will be some changes and I wish to be transparent with my fans about them.  The biggest is most certainly the loss of access to uncensored NSFW art.  It’s not all negative though, having better workflow and set schedule with plans in place means I will be able to produce more art for you, my fans, and potential Patrons.  It allows me to truly focus on my passion as I have things I wish to produce and get out to all my fans.

I’m hoping you will join me on this journey and I welcome all support no matter how big and small.  You can still make one time contributions to my Ko-Fi and commission me.   Thank you for your support up until now and for your continued support, I adore each and every one of you for it.  As the week goes on I’ll continue to post updates on my progress.  As an added bonus anyone who joins in the $5 tier or any tiers above this will receiver a free, uncolored thigh-up sketch of the character of their choosing*

Hey everyone, I’m setting up a Patreon and I’d like some input from you all.  I want to know what kind of rewards you’d like for the tiers and what pricing you’d like to see.  Later I will be having a poll to help determine which OCs make it to chibi icons, one for each tier, you as my potential patrons will help me choose 5 of the 6 and I will get to pick the sixth.  A few things to note, all Tiers will also get the rewards from all Tiers above that one and some of the options are repeated for each Tier in the polls.  In the cases where there are repeats please do not select the same reward for two or more tiers (Example: Don’t select 5% Discount On Commissions and/or Etsy shop for Tier 2 and Tier 3, Select it for Tier 2 and Choose 10% Discount On Commissions and/or Etsy shop for Tier 3).

Hey folks, so I am opening up commissions as of right now.  Usually, I will have five slots open, right now because I have one filled already with a family friend's order I have four available.

The main reason I'm opening commissions is Willard, my elderly friend who was hit by the car is coming home Wednesday and his dog still needs the surgery on his teeth (he has to have a cleaning and a lot of extractions).  I want to be able to put a bit towards helping him with that since there will be a lot he needs to take care of and honestly Willy Wonka is very important to me and if I can help him out so he feels better then it would be amazing.

I exist, I promise.  My friend got hit by a car in late November.  I’m helping out and things have been crazy.  Art is slow but still happening, I just rarely have time to myself during the day.

Well apparently for once my monthly visit from Aunt Flo did NOT kill my art muse.

These are the second and third requests from my first batch of requests.  First, we have the lovely Nepeta’s Raspberry.  I had originally wanted her to be blowing a kiss but given this is literally my first drawing of an anthro I decided trying to do that was a bit over the top but covering her mouth and being a bit girlishly cute seemed like fun so here we go.

Second, we have Metanoia’s Selhial Arringstad (phew what a mouthful but I do love the name!).  They requested this specific pose so I really hope got it right.  I know you said you didn’t need a ton of lines but I loved the robe so much I wanted to get some of the intricate details just not all of them.

Nepeta, Metanoia, thank you both so much for being patient and for the chance to draw these two lovely characters.  I had a ton of fun.

For anyone else interested I will be running a second batch of requests on my dA then I will move the third to my other social media again, rinse and repeat.  This way you guys all get a chance to get in on this but so do my followers on dA who are much larger in number and would drown you all out on my other social media if I ran the requests on both dA and my other social media.  As it is I’ve already promised the first slot to my best friend over on dA.

Tomorrow I will be doing some personal art if I’m up to it, thinking seriously about a Steampunk Airship Pirates AU for Ryder and Arronax in which Arro is the Captain this time.  Who knows, I might throw Sarge in as one of the Navy Men on their ass and make Jerico, Kass and Sloane part of the crew.  We’ll see what happens.  Just fun ideas for myself.  I also want to do a Post Apocolypse Steampunk sorta AU for RydArro (I’m an Abney Park junkie and I get a tone of ideas from them for RydArro)

I just adored drawing her, Kain, thank you so much for the opportunity.  I noted her personality described her as a dog in human form and with how sweet and friendly she is I couldn't resist drawing her with a cute puppy!  I'll be contacting you later to find out how to send you the full-sized image which is over twice this size.  (I work on very large canvases and shrink it down after I'm done so as not to overload everyone's computers trying to full view my art.

I set out to draw my pirate today, I wound up drawing the stoner cat partially shifted because why the hell not?  I haven't introduced Ryder to a lot of my social media accounts yet and he's one my favorites.  I am obsessed with this stupid cat.

I'll still try to get something drawn of Ryder but I need a shower first.  (If Ryder doesn't kill me for failing to keep my promises... if you hear about a Cat 5 Hurricane coming to New Mexico just assume I'm dead lol)

Well, the holidays are upon us, everyone.  With that, the commercials on TV, Hulu (and all your other streaming sites), the radio and much more are constantly giving us their holiday usual.  The stores are lined with Christmas gifts and honestly, I think we lose the sense of the season with all the consumerism.  So rather than sell things this holiday season I thought I’d offer requests for art, gifts if you like, to my followers.  

These will be free headshot to half-body sketches (depending on my muse, Hell, I might add color if I feel up to the task) of a character of your choosing done in batches of 3 - 5 slots. It can be an OC or fanart.  Though OCs would be my preference, I am not going to be against doing fanart.  I’ll ask you provide a reference of some sort (written or drawn/photographs or a combination of) and a general expression you’re looking for.  Maybe a pose if you have a really good idea you want to see come to life.  Make it Christmas or Thanksgiving-themed if you like, order for a friend and pass on the cheer.  Let’s just put some smiles on each other’s faces this year.

Commissions are still opened on Ko-Fi if you’re interested in something more complex or are just the kind of person who would rather pay and you’re also welcome to tip me though it is certainly not required.  On that note, paying customers will always have priority, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love each and every one of you and don't want to give back for just supporting me and being interested.  As of right now, I have commissions lined up, anyway.

So let's be honest, Starrk and Shunsui had some interesting chemistry during their fight and me, in an artblock, tends to wind up writing stupid fan fic drabbles from dif Animes I like that I never post.  I never see any real honest to god Starrk X Shunsui Fan Art or Fan Fics, if they exist in more numbers I haven't found them and I beg you to point me in the right direction but I decided I'd fix my problem by drawing StarrkSui to help get rid of art block... there might be more planned for tommorow.

I'm sure the Jushiro and Shunsui shippers are going to cry out for blood when I say this but I like StarrkSui better.  Not that I don't adore Shunsui and Jushiro stuff, because I do!

It's fanart tho, so Starrk gets to come back.  He is actually my favorite Espada outside of Grimmjow and I'm pretty torn on fav Taichō between Shunsui, Kenpachi Zaraki and Byakuya Kuchiki.  See if you can figure out my fav Sōtaichō (since it's kinda obvious if you've read the manga through)

Might post a progress GIF of this later, also might shade it, haven't decided on either.

This is probably the most intriguing thing I did all day.  I am going to credit the user ImpyButt whom I follow for making me realize how plastic Jerico's hair generally looks on the top.  I was already planning to do some design edits for him simply because I was wanting to change some small details up or had already noticed they were changing as I drew him more.

So first image:

The markings are, you guessed it, from his were form.  We'll call this a partial shift that Ascended are capable of.  Generally, it also does entail claws and could even include tail and ears but they aren't going to showing soul fire.  Markings in a partial shift are also optional.  As mentioned I also did try and soften up the look of his hair, this is only a bust so don't mind his hair looking short, the length is not changing.  He'd claw his own throat out before he cut his hair.  Another detail is, of course, that scar.  Knowing he's a werepanther certainly does help to understand why it's there but why so small?  Well, Jerico was actually only 3 when he was bitten by another boy in his foster home, the boy was 5 thus the smaller sized bite.   I've also been playing around with pupil shape.  In a shift, they will be feline-like but also much like a cat Jerico's pupils have a much greater range to expand and in extreme light, they can be pinpoint and even slit-like.  It tends to vary on emotion for this.  I did edit hair color a bit as well.  The final detail that I've seen actually changing is skin tone actually, and there is a good reason for this.  Jerico's father, despite not knowing the man, is Mexican-American and the brother of my lycan character Joseph Hernandez.  His mother is a woman of European descent.  I realized pretty quickly he was probably just too pale originally as I didn't give it any consideration until after the fact.  My fault, so slowly his skin tone has become darker until I felt happy with it.

Second Image:  This was more of something to throw in there for comparison on changes but as I look at it I realized I've actually grown as an artist quite a lot even since May.  It also made me look back at when and why Jerico was created.  Originally he was created for a friend I used to RP with I had a falling out with.  I won't go into details but Jerico was the last character I created with her and he has come so far as a character since I removed a toxic person from my life.  As he's grown I have.  I have a lot of characters like this, who have come to life during times of adversity and transcended that as I healed and grew and changed.  I really have come to love Jerico and though I don't draw Kassian and Sloane near as much I love them just as dearly.  For some reason, Jerico just has all my art muse.

I've never drawn fire before, Imma say for the moment it's turned out pretty damn good.  At the very least I have to the basic idea for colors and how I want it to look, I may make some edits down the line.  But Jerico's where the form is definitely coming along nicely.  I even got some rough shading in on the fur.  I am working o ideas for the Ascended WereKin and how they are different and so on from your average werewolf or werepanther or whatever other wereanimal you can think of.  It's a process.
