Partner and Type Request

Hi! I’m an ISTP Scorpio (Libra Scorpio cusp if you wanna be specific) and I would like to request a partner pokemon and a type! I would describe myself in a word as fiery. I’m confident, blunt, and a little hot tempered. I love making people laugh and I’m well known among my friends for being sassy. Despite going to school right now for computer science, my main life goal is to relax and not take stuff too seriously. I love having time off, especially when it means I can nap. I would also love to live somewhere warm or tropical, as I really can’t handle cold weather. Thanks for doing this!

Thank you for the request, and more importantly your patience! I hesitated between three Pokémon, so feel free to ask for opinions if you don’t like this one!  Meet your partner...

Alolan Raichu. 

• Now when your Pokémon was still a Pikachu, most people (and you, probably) thought it would evolve in a Kanto Raichu. Known for its short, quick temper and confidence, yet very friendly and funny when you get to know it, Raichu seemed like an ideal partner for you.

• But sometimes life is full of surprises, and it doesn’t take you where you though you’d end up. This is exactly the kind of surprise you’d have when your Pikachu turns into an Alolan Raichu while you’d be on vacation on the tropical islands of Alola. 

• Unlike the Raichu from Kanto, Alolan Raichu is all chill and can even levitate on its tail thanks to its psychic powers. When their cheeks are rubbed, not only do they provide electricity, but they also emit a nice sweet-smelling aroma. 

• More playful and with a cool surfer attitude that contrasts with the more jumpy behavior of the other Raichu, this one does not represent your present, but your future. It embodies the you that you aspire to be, more relax and able to not take things too seriously.

• Alolan Raichu is an awesome companion for this, and you guys will have the best naps on the beaches of Alola. It will always bring you a new lesson to take things more lightly, and will be playful and mischievous when it needs to be. As for the type, I don’t see any hesitation here. Maybe it is stating the obvious, but your personality really reminds me of Fire. Restless, hot-tempered, fiery, as you said yourself. What other type could it be, other than Fire? I thought for a second that it might be a bit too obvious, but sometimes, the answer is right there. Maybe, in the future, you’ll be more of an other type.

Vulpix.

• Vulpix is an awesome Pokémon. Their feminine and noble demeanor made them quite popular, and they are very picky when it comes to choosing their companion. This Vulpix from the Kanto Region is, like most members of its species, very intelligent and loyal to its trainer. When facing an enemy, they’ll rather pretend they’re hurt and manage to get away shrewdly.

• More lively and energetic than its Alolan counterpart, Vulpix is the Pokémon that will help you struggling with your shyness while never judging you. Besides, if you’re lucky and persistent enough, you might someday have the great luck to be the trainer of a beautiful Ninetales, a rare Pokémon in the Pokémon world that only great trainers are worthy of.

• Vulpix would likely be your most faithful partner, as it is the most loyal of the six. Leader of the group, it would assume its role of protector at heart and not tolerate bad behavior towards you.

Houndour.

• Besides being canine too, this Pokémon also is a fire type. I heard you didn’t mind though! A lot of people are put off by Houndour’s appearance or behavior. In some parts of the world, it suffers from an undeserved bad reputation.

• Fear not, however! For this companion is actually very sweet once it’s accustomed to the humans it spends its time with. They are very intelligent and even have their own developed language between them with various barks and howls.

• They like to hunt in packs, so they’re all about team work. Vulpix and it would make awesome partners, as Houndours never leave a friend behind. They are known to be loyal and obedient to their trainer. No doubt, if you like canine friends, you’ll like your Houndour!

Deino.

• Deinos, creatures from Unova, are very rare Pokémon that demand care and attention. I have no doubt you will be able to give it just that!

• As they are blind, Deinos discover the world through their mouths, and it can sometimes hurt. It can also make them very unpredictable, and they can be very energetic and playful with their trainers. Besides, they have a shy personality around strangers that did remind me a bit of you. 

• Shy doesn’t mean isolated though, and Deinos know this damn well. This is why, despite how tough it can sometimes be to care for them, they make adorable companions that will always stand by your side and defend you.

Azumarill

• Although Azumarill does not fall into the favorite types category, he felt like a surprising good addition to the team to balance it efficiently. As cute as Vulpix, as fierce as Houndour, his fun appearance makes it popular among children and are known to be good entertainers.

• Lovely and kind, they stil can have quite a temper if they’re let loose. However, they do like the spotlight, and yours would probably be more than thrilled to be a part of one of your stories.

• Azumarill will also probably speak to the kind and helpful soul within you. They are known to rescue many Pokémon drowning by creating a balloon of air around the Pokémon in distress to help it back to the shore. Therefore, with multiple Fire Pokémon with you, there is no doubt Azumarill will always be there to save the day.

Weavile.

• Living in colder areas than the rest of your team, Weavile can be more introverted and shy. They’re yet very determined creatures that don’t only share this personality trait with you.

• Weaviles are indeed very creative Pokémon, along with their previous evolution form Sneasel. Studies show that they communicate not only with sounds, but also carving and drawings that they make on trees, ice and boulders. They are thus great story tellers in their own way, a way that you might learn to appreciate and get inspiration from when the time comes to make your own video game or animation movie!

• They are blessed with an increasing intelligence that could greatly complete yours! This is why Weavile would be the smart ass of the group, and not in a bad way!

Scrafty.

• After long minutes of hesitation between several Pokémon, and mostly Breloom, Scrafty finally made it to the final results. Its nonchalance, sense of team and fun humanoid behavior definitely worked in its favor, and it happens to be from two types you seem to like very much.

• Not always praised for their beauty, Scrafty are very sharp minded. They are quick creatures that often fight with their body with everything they have.

• They like to live in groups, however they are very selective of it. With a specific system of hierarchy, Scrafty have showed to exhibit very territorial behavior that will make them insanely loyal to you once they get to know you better.

• Though often coming off as rude, and maybe feeling out of place in your team first, don’t let Scrafty suffer from its reputation ! The welfare of his loved ones is very important to it, and they will not let anyone bully a member of its group. They will probably be the Yang side of your team, in a more agressive way than Azumarill that will contrast with your shyness and listening skills, however they will be great allies that will always be up for being a character of one of your stories.

Although I tried not to give you only Pokémons from your favorite types, these little guys showed to be perfectly good companions for you. If you’re unhappy about one of them or if you just don’t feel like they belong with you, please, let me know, okay? :)

But that’s not all of it, is it? Ah, you came to test the witch about her powers, didn’t you? Oh, I can tell you where you’re from.

And I would guess you come from the Kanto Region, so far away from this little city of Laverre. Kanto, region of innovations, where the Master Ball itself was invented. People from this area are known to be friendly yet a bit formal and shy. Besides, this is probably where you would be able to create your first video games or stories, until maybe, life takes you to Unova, another region that might make you happy. However, Kanto might be the best pick for you. Am I wrong?

my star sign is cancer, my mbti is enfp, and my enneagram is 6w5! my hogwarts house is gryffindor, and i believe my patronus was a dragon? that or a thestral - i can’t remember which i got last time, haha.

my favourite colour is a soft lavender-blue, but i like most soft colours, like pink, yellow, green, orange - you name it! my favourite places are either bustling cities, old towns with lots of scenery, architecture and history, or out in nature. i really like cathedrals and other beautiful buildings!

i’m a passionate person, and i also get pretty excitable - i’m easily pleased, and i always love to get involved in the things i enjoy! i’m pretty empathetic, and i care deeply about everybody i meet - i love helping others, and i’m always there to listen! around groups of friends, i tend to take on a nurturing, leader-like role - but i’m just as content being a follower too! i like backing people up and making them feel safe around me. however, i’m also stubborn, and don’t ever know when to quit. i can sometimes seem a bit forgetful or scatterbrained, but i’m also pretty kind and playful. patient while also being extroverted.

i really love storms - almost as much as i do the summer heat - and i hope to be a zoologist! animal behaviour and ecology have always fascinated me - as has ancient history (particularly the military side, haha).

Thank you for the first submission and the shout out on your blog! That is really appreciated, and thank you again for your patience :) 

I read through all Pokémon to have better ideas of maybe hidden meanings I didn’t know about. I found a lot of Pokémon for your profile, and actually had a hard time picking 6 among a dozen. Here’s my input though. 

I also can’t help but notice that we have a lot in common ^o^

Your partner is… 

Riolu.

• Known as the Emanation Pokémon, Riolu is not all about brawls. It is very sensitive to a type of energy called Aura. Although it doesn’t fully understand the powers it may have, it can still sense and see them, and that makes it extremely empathetic, just like you!

• As it can see and feel other people’s emotions like happiness or anger, you and it wouldn’t have any problem communicating or understanding each other ! A mere look would suffice for you guys to bond. 

• But this sixth sense comes along a superhuman strength with this little dude. As a very stubborn and determined Pokémon, it would be the perfect companion for the Gryffindor at heart that you are! Besides, looking through my Pokédex, three words come up to describe it : playful, energetic (excitable) and loyal. Sounds familiar? 

• You guys would make an awesome duo, as it would be there to protect you just like you would protect it, and you would share a friendship a lot of people would envy you. It would have no problem walking out in nature by your side, or exploring ancient buildings, and its loyalty would know no limits. How lucky you are! 

How about the rest of the team, now ? 

Tricky, isn’t it? I can see a lot of Pokémon that would love to have some adventures with you. Let’s see. I see something very small. It seems to be a bug.

Cutiefly.

• Cutiefly is one of the smallest Pokémon ever discovered so far. As innocent as it may look, this little fairy bug knows more than one trick and is also very much connected to the realm of auras and emotions. I can see it being the Pokémon that you would encounter right after Riolu. 

• A lot of people misunderstand it because of its size, but you too might very well get along. Capable of detecting auras in living things, it can predict the movements of its opponents in battle. However, Cutiefly tends to pick up on the strong emotions of the living beings around it, and it can let those emotions overwhelm it a little due to its gentle and kind nature. This is why he is drawn to people, especially people with a good heart like yours. 

• You can find one in fields or meadows, especially during the summer time as they do like the climate. However, a lot of Cutiefly are also very much attracted to the city, and notably old towns or buildings. Why, you may ask? Because all the emotions and feelings packed in those places attract them! Like you, they find the beauty of those feelings endearing, and seek those old, memory charged places. 

• This is why your Cutiefly would be more than happy to go on a trip with you, whether it’d be a warm meadow, or an old church. 

Another Pokémon soon joins the duo. He’s green, and very intimidating for such a small size.

Bulbasaur.

• Ah, yes. Bulbasaur was one of the first Pokémon that came into my mind while getting to know you. An extremely loyal person that likes to help others and take the position of leader when needed? Bulbasaur can get behind that idea! 

• It is not by pure chance that Bulbasaur is a Pokémon professors give away to young trainers. Those cute little Seed Pokémon are known to be friendly and extremely protective. In a group, they often assume the role of guardian, in a very natural and casual way. They often like to carry the young ones with their vines to rock it in the air, too ! 

• Nurturing and friendly, they often are casual leaders and will not boast about it. Besides, they love to rest outside, bathing in sunlight.

I see those three Pokémon forming a trio very dear to your heart. However the team doesn’t stop there. I can see more companions, eager to make themselves known to you.

Baltoy.

• Baltoy is probably the only member of your team that doesn’t look like an animal. However, the mystery around it makes it even more interesting, doesn’t it? 

• Intriguing and fascinating, Baltoys have been known to populate the planet since thousands of years. It is said that humans made it out of clay during the ancient times, a time where it started to guard its human creators through many centuries. Paintings on cave walls proved this statement. 

• Nowadays, you can find those weird looking Pokémon in ruins, graveyards, or buildings that have a deep connexion to the past. As a living being bond to History, Baltoys are regularly being studied by researchers that discovered they often cry in unison when they’re reunited. Some believe they’re grieving their friends, gone hundreds of years ago. 

• As a trainer fascinated with History and old architecture, Baltoy will most likely be your guide to the most breathtaking sites of the world while having find a new friend to protect. 

Electabuzz

• This one is bigger than the rest. It might also appear less friendly but don’t let yourself be fooled by its demeanor! Electabuzz are very excitable Pokémon that are overwhelmed with the energy stored in their big fuzzy body. 

• It often makes them restless or mischievous, but it doesn’t mean yours can’t have a big heart. Although it can be found near power plants for its energy, you can meet Electabuzz in grasslands. Those creatures love thunderstorms, just like you do, and even feed from them. 

• This is why they will often chase them to get recharged in energy, and your Electabuzz will probably guide you to some of the most spectacular storms you might ever see, without putting you in danger! It is said that it is quite a show to watch them recharging, especially if they’re struck by lightning. Be careful though, as it can sometimes be a bit unaware of its strength! 

Gabite

• Made popular by Cynthia, Sinnoh’s Champion, Gible and its evolutions are known to be very tough Pokémon to care for. However, I am not surprised to see why this Gible would evolve by your side to become a Gabite. 

• The sharks of the sand often get a lot of attention from those who love to study the behavior of Pokémon, and their Dragon type makes them even more complex and interesting to get to know, doesn’t it? 

• Gabite are fierce, predatory Pokémon that will protect their territory no matter what. I find it similar to how you care a great deal about your loved one’s safety. Along with Riolu, Gabite would be the most fearless warrior of your team and would protect the 5 of you without a second thought. 

• Besides, he shares with you that stubbornness that makes him unable to see where he should stop once he’s involved in something. 

• Did you know that his scales had medicinal properties? Yes, Gabite doesn’t only protect his group with his body! Its scales can heal most illnesses, and what’s best for a caring soul like yours than to be friends with a strong Pokémon that has healing properties? 

Yes, I could very much see those Pokémon surrounding you. However, I see some other shapes appearing along these ones. Maybe you would also be happy to own a Mimikyu, a Kangashkan, a Mudbray or a Galvantula? Only time will tell. In the mean time, thank you a lot for trusting the witch for today.

Pokémon Request

Hey guys ! :D

I saw a lot of blogs about Pokémon Team-Partner requests multiplying around Tumblr, and if that’s okay with those who are doing it, I would like to try it myself. It’s always fun to have another team given to you, ain’t it? Anyway, this blog will solely be about Pokémon, and mainly about those requests. You can ask for a partner, a team, a region, a Pokémon type, anything that crosses your mind really. Just ask the witch!
