I do feel like one of the big themes of andi mack was like. Youth is stupid and dramatic and not all of it makes sense. Like, "your feelings right now are real and true but you're also not entirely your whole you yet so you might not be able to process them healthily". And that very much strikes a chord with me. The 'thesis statement' of andi & jonahs relationship is literally "I wonder what it would have been like if we were older." / "Someday we will be." and like, in parallel to that, the theme of bex & bowie's relationship was trying and trying again ever since they were young. And Bex is the one who tells cyrus that he's still figuring out who he is, and that's okay. It's just an incredibly solid through line throughout the whole series :-)

joking aside, it's kinda insane to think tj was the one to start playing born this way and they all sang along. like, to go from starting out as side character that none of the main characters liked to a guy who can just bust out a gay anthem on piano and have the entire room join? i'll never be over tj kippen's character development
