I finally finished the last of the celestial gem group! this is galaxite, the permafusion trio of seraphinite, angelite, and celestite!! she’s basically a big friendly lady who’s not-so-secretly 3 gfs in a trench coat (shown in the bottom picture for comparison) XD

her fusion weapon is a double-bladed axe, which she prefers to dual-wield. the blades are meant to look like folded wings as a nod to seraphinite’s winged flail!

Having troubles with facial angles in your drawing style?

Try a 3D sculpture of your art in your own style in a free program that is simple and very easy to use.

The program is called Sculptris and is a free off-shoot program from Zbrush, that program that you keep hearing about but either takes selling your kidneys or piracy to actually use. 

If you download it and sculpt out a facial model, you can have references for your own work for all of time. No more endlessly searching Google for reference materials or twisting/rotating/flipping a drawing to see if there are flaws. And you can easily edit it to create more facial types. This way, you can make character references for any and every face and facial angle that you can think of.

The program offers mirroring right from the start, so your faces will be perfectly symmetrical. You can turn off the symmetry for things like scars or otherwise. 

It takes a little time. For instance, I downloaded the program on Christmas and, in my spare time, this took a few days of getting familiar with the program (first day) and then sculpting for a few minutes each day, mostly due to my perfectionist nature. And this one isn’t even done. I still have to mold the mouth, ears, and other smaller aspects before I consider it done. However, I was so giddy over the possibilities that I wanted to share this with my fellow artists.

From now on, I have reference for a face in my own style and will be able to create things so much easier in the future.  I hope that this helps you guys and that you have fun with it.

I’m begging to see more Mally and her components

Okay here’s something.

Spinels from Era 1. Most of Mally’s anger and resentment. Pearl and Ruby are Era 2’s. Pearls the depressed one and Ruby’s the person to mostly keep Mally together.

They all kinda had similar fates in no longer being wanted, and Spinel was the first to get the group together. It used to be they’d sneak around homeworld individually and fuck shit up for the sake of wanting to (Mostly Spinel though) . Mally came into being just because they thought fusion would amp up the whole rebellious adventure thing but they eventually found company in each other and stayed fused. They’re basically pieces to Mally’s overall personality. Spinels the angry one, Pearls the anxious and depressed one, and Ruby’s just there to try and help out. Ruby and Spinel kinda amplify the emotional part of Mally.

Updated my Gemsona. She’s a fusion of a Spinel, Pearl and Ruby. Goes by Mally, which is short for Tourmaline. Also begged @novadly to make her own Gemsona so now Mally has an epic friend that they adore with all their heart

When I thought “what are some cute, couple-y shenanigans I can draw for Kunzite and Amber?” I immediately thought of this scene

My newest Gemsona, a permafusion of Kunzite and Amber, Dragon’s Breath Fire Opal! She goes by Dragon for short.

Extra Notes:

Amber’s gem replaces her left arm, so she makes an arm out of sap, so Dragon can do the same, giving her an extra arm for anything she wants to do. Kunzite’s gem is on her back, so I couldn’t draw it without the pose looking super awkward. Her back gem is under her short sleeved coat/robe thing.
