20. your very first fandom!

OH NO. Memories! How dare you make me flash back to middle school in the 90s?! But the answer is X-Men. I LOVED Rogue. I wanted to BE Rogue. And I shipped Rogue and Gambit hardcore (and they're still going, as far as I can tell, woo!)

22. the fandom friend you've known the longest

Oh holy shit, this one made me think. I didn't really engage with anyone when I was super into X-men, and I don't really hang out with people that I used to talk to when I was deep in Harry Potter, but I've been hanging out with the WoW folks I met since like, 2017! In fact, we play D&D together. It's a few folks, a few of which are on tumblr but I don't want to out since they don't really intersect with the ACOTAR fandom. :D

24. how has fandom positively impacted your life?

I have met very cool people! My writing has leveled up significantly since I got back into fanfic and honestly, so has my art! It's also like... nice to have a creative outlet that I can make art and write FOR. (I do have original work but IDK... fandom hits different, you know?)

14. the ship that always makes you smile?

I would say Elucien but there's some real heart-wrenching materials there. So I'm going to say Jassa! They're adorable and so lovely for one another.

15. the character that always makes you smile?

Tarquin! Such a sweet, wonderful baby. I hope he lives a long, long time and makes Prythian a better place. :)

4, 7, 9 for the positive fandom ask game

I already did 7 and 9 in another ask (which you can find here) but for #4: 4. say something nice about a ship you don't ship (it can be another ship in your fandom, a mutual's OTP, etc)

Hmmm. I see the potential in Nessian, and I loved their dynamic leading up to ACOSF. What can I say, I'm a sucker for couples whose love language is arguing, lol. I think they could have been truly great had SJM, well... not taken the path she did.

Is it nice to say that Feysand is perfect because they deserve one another? No? OK, don't count that one lol.

Lastly, believe it or not, I do like Gwynriel. A good Grumpy x Sunshine is hard to beat. I think I prefer @limeandorange's Solgwyn pairing, though because holy cow the chemistry and I love how she is making him a better person.

Lastly, @zenkindoflove, Erixius has an excellent vibe, and Alexius cracks me up whenever I go through to read your fics. He's such a character, and great for pulling Eris out of his shell. :)

7. your favorite tropes to read/write/draw

So I don't really draw tropes per se, but I LOVE a good villain backstory, especially if they ultimately end up sympathetic. Oh heck, even if they're not. Characters like Amarantha or Beron or Ianthe make me want to dissect them: how did they get the way they are? Why do they do what they do? Maybe I missed my calling and should have gone into Psychology.

I'm also a big fan of Slow burn romances (I'm writing two of 'em this very moment), and when one person is absolutely oblivious to the other being completely in love with them. That's my jam, man. And lastly, while I don't write these... reading the fake relationship that turns into a real one trope? Yes please.

9. a ship that isn't your OTP but that you enjoy OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY

So my OTP is Elucien, but I adore Jassa and Neris. I even like Erislain though that one is trickier to do and can get icky real fast if done wrong.

Bran Vanserra (Branserra?) WIP

Since I saw a lot of variations of "step on me Bran" (seriously - I had no idea people would like him so much!), I figured I should give him a pop of color, lol. Note, this is a WIP! There is still LOTS to do to refine Beron's handsomest son and Casp's devoted big brother.

Art by me (@themadmorrigan ) done on Procreate on 6/23 and 6/24/25. Bran is my OC. Do not repost without permission, use to train AI, or make a chibi out of him.

God though can you imagine how many pairs of shoes Eris has had chewed up by his hounds?

Little tiny worldbuilding elements I think should be added:

Let me preface before the hardcore folks see this: I know not all fae have powers, but for the ones that do...

Winnowing fae could start a taxi service: for people, items, important packages, all that good stuff.

Summer Court fae? Excellent at putting out fires, and mitigating floods from other courts. Oh, and does somewhere need rain? They can help with that.

Day Court folks: you want them to help you break especially nasty curses (if they have any relation to the Spellcleavers that is) but anyone with day powers is also your friend if, say, you need to grow crops in less than optimal conditions (coughNightCourtbutalsoWintercough) or a more natural street lighting solution.

Winter court? AC, baby.

Spring is just easy. You need help getting your crops going? Get someone from Spring. Need to move some earth? Spring again. Desperate for event florals? *points to Spring*

Autumn: need help with your crops ripening, or have too much underbrush and need a controlled burn? Call Beron. Want to antagonize and/or find a reason to hire Summer Court fae? Call Beron. (Don't actually call Beron.)

I guess Night Court could also do something in there too, I'm just hard pressed* to figure out what. (*Not hard pressed so much as I just don't really care about that court and am more interested in the rest of the world.)

What are your top 2 Elain HCs and one reasonable theory for acotar 6. 👀

I'm afraid my Elain HCs are all pretty standard and nothing terribly groundbreaking -

(1) She's carranam with Lucien (who is also her mate, just in case anyone was harboring delusions about where I stand on that front), based off of how her powers seem to manifest with his proximity

(2) This one is a little sillier, but I've always HC'd that Elain doesn't really like roses all that much, more so once NecklaceGate goes down. They're the first thing people think of when someone says 'garden' and meanwhile, here's Elain cataloguing rare plants and creating crazy hybrids of magical flora, cringe-smiling when people ask her about her roses.

(What's her favorite flower? "That's going to be a long answer," she warns, before asking whether you mean her favorite carnivorous one, ornamental, wildflower, etc etc.)

(3) One REASONABLE theory?

The revitalization of Spring and the rise of Koschei. Elain will go there to help restore the land and Tam Tam's rulership over it because Beron- seeing Rhys make eyes towards High Kingship- is interested in preventing that through any means necessary. Even if it involves making a deal with a death god and his cronies. Even if it means taking over Spring and turning it onto Autumn 2.0 before Feysand et al. can get their grubby paws on it.
