Fanfic idea where Wukong is secretly jealous of Mk for being Nuwa's "most important creation".

He would never say anything to Mk (or to anyone for that matter) but it's a question he always asks himself: Why did Nuwa go through the trouble of creating someone like Mk when HE was right here?

They came from the same stone. They were fundamentally identical.

And yet, in over 5,000 years of being alive, Wukong never met Nuwa face-to-face. She never intended to meet him. But Mk? Mk talked to her. She WANTED to see him. Why didn't she want to meet him?

Maybe, subconsciously, that's why he wanted to go into the pillar instead of Mk...

Reminder that something from the heavens forced Mk out of his Monkey form.......and no one knows what it was.

Either it was some cosmic Fail-Safe and it happened automatically because the universe sensed something too powerful (Mk).

The fact that Mk is equally angelic and demonic is so beautiful😩😭

He's the Harbinger of Chaos. He was meant to signal the end of everything. Part of him revels in destruction and mayhem and he has power the likes of which can't be perceived.

But he was made with pure intent by a heavenly goddess whose only power is to create. He was created to put everyone else's needs before his own and lives up to that purpose flawlessly.

He is Great Good and Great Evil.

The reason we're all so excited to see him go apeshit is because we haven't seen the Great Evil yet. He has to be bad to match the amount of good he's done. We want to see the destruction that matches the creation. He has to stay 50/50.
