Proactivity Comes from Ownership, Not Geography
I often hear this feedback from founders and team leads:
“Our offshore team isn’t proactive.”
But when I ask a few more questions — about structure, inclusion, and leadership — I usually discover something deeper:
Their offshore team isn’t set up to succeed.
They’re expected to take initiative without being given ownership.
The Truth About Offshore “Proactivity”
Let’s be honest — most offshore teams aren’t brought into the full picture.
They’re assigned tasks, not outcomes.
They’re trained on tools, but not context.
They’re expected to support, but not lead.
And when proactivity doesn’t show up, leadership assumes it’s a limitation.
It’s not.
Proactivity is not a personality trait.
It’s a product of environment.
It grows when people feel trusted, included, and safe to speak up.
If your offshore team seems reactive, ask yourself:
• Have they been trained with the same level of clarity as your local team?
• Do they understand the why behind the work — or just the checklist?
• Have you ever invited them to challenge an idea, or lead an initiative?
Real Proactivity Comes from Ownership
When people have ownership, they care differently.
They problem-solve. They anticipate. They speak up.
It has nothing to do with timezone or location — and everything to do with leadership.
Here’s what that looks like in action:
• Inclusion in planning — not just execution
• Space to contribute — not just report
• Accountability with support — not micromanagement
When you build systems that treat offshore teams like true partners, they stop waiting for instructions. They start creating value.
A Shift in Mindset
The next time you find yourself thinking, “They’re not proactive,” try this reframing instead:
➡️ Have I given them the trust and context needed to step up?
➡️ What barriers have I unknowingly created by treating them differently?
➡️ What would change if they were seen as part of the core team — not an extension?
Because at the end of the day — proactivity doesn’t come from geography.
It comes from leadership.
And leadership is global now.

Building Offshore Teams the Right Way: Why HMO Benefits Matter
At ForceMultiply, we believe that offshore teams deserve the same care and investment as any in-house team. That's why providing HMO health benefits to our offshore team members has always been non-negotiable. Recently, a teammate from the Philippines shared how his mother fell critically ill — and thanks to the HMO coverage we provide, he was able to get her the hospital care she needed without delay. Moments like these remind me that when we prioritize people, we create impact far beyond the workplace. In many traditional BPO models, health insurance is considered optional or delayed. We believe there's a better way: one that reflects care, trust, and a commitment to the people who power your business. Health care isn't a luxury. It's essential. This is even more important for team members working graveyard shifts to align with international clients. Overnight work can strain both mental and physical health. Providing access to regular check-ups and quality healthcare isn't just a "nice-to-have" — it's necessary to support long-term well-being and performance. When we design people-first systems, we see the whole person, not just the output. Offshore teams aren’t "resources" — they are real people with real lives. If we value them, our benefits and policies must show it. If you're building or hiring offshore teams, HMO coverage shouldn't be an afterthought — it should be standard. It's not just about doing the right thing; it's also smart leadership. People who feel valued and supported are more engaged, loyal, and motivated to do their best work. At ForceMultiply, we’re building a different kind of model: one rooted in clarity, compassion, and results. If you're looking to create people-first offshore teams that thrive, let's connect. Let's set a new standard — together. #PeopleFirst #BPO #OffshoreTeams #Leadership #EmployeeWellbeing #HumanFirst #BPOLeadership #RemoteWork #TeamCare #ForceMultiply

📍Not Just Filling Seats: The Human Side of BPO Recruiting
In BPO, it’s easy to get caught up in numbers—headcount, KPIs, attrition rates.
But behind every hire is a heartbeat. A parent trying to provide. A student chasing stability. A person rebuilding after a setback. A dream that doesn’t look flashy on paper, but means everything in real life.
BPO recruiting isn't just about pipelines—it's about people. The conversations that don’t show up on resumes. The moments when someone says, “Thank you for seeing me.”
We’re not just filling seats. We’re opening doors.
✨ Let’s keep it human.
