writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

Character A being all touchy feely with Character B, which is unusual for them (but Character B isn’t opposed to it).

“I’m not drunk. Just a little tipsy.” 

Character B unable to walk in a straight line and Character A having to accompany them all the way home.

“I don’t want you leaving,” Character B whispers, tugging at Character’s A sleeve, their eyes drooping. “Please stay?” 

“Can I kiss you?” “Maybe once you sober up, you can ask me that again.” 

Character A confessing to Character B while drunk, and then they end up completely forgetting about their confession when they wake up. “Why are you acting so awkward around me?” Character A asks, and Character B stares at them before saying, “Do you really not remember what happened last night?” 

Character B doing the dumbest shit in public when drunk and Character A having to apologise for them while being extremely embarrassed about it. “Get your shit together!” they’d hiss, smacking Character B on the arm while character B whines and complains about how they should treat them nicer than this.

“Tell me, who broke your heart this time to have you drink so much?”

“You think I’m loud right now? Oh, the shit you’re in for if you take me to bed with you.” “What the fu— okay, we’re getting you straight home.”

“We’re not doing this while you’re drunk.” “I’m not”—they hiccup, hand flying up to their mouth, so ready to barf—“drunk.”

Happy Pride Month. Here's some aphobia I've experienced as an aroace person with autism:

Being told that I am aroace because I am afraid of intimacy.

People not accepting that I am aroace and thinking that I have a crush on them.

People speculating on who I am "crushing" on despite them knowing I am aroace and generally uninterested in romance.

Being infantilized for having autism and being aroace.

Being told that I am a stereotype for having autism and being aroace.

Being told that I am not allowed to say that there is a connection between my autism and being aroace.

People constantly making theories about my sexuality and coming up with "reasons" for why I am aroace, even though they wouldn't do that for a straight person.

Being stalked and harassed by two different people on campus in one year 👍 This isn't related to being aroace, but it feels especially invasive when you are.
