Planting My First Cai Xin.

Decided to whip out a little freebie Steph gave me quite a few months ago!

It's called "mypocketgarden" - seeing how there is a trend of people growing their own little home gardens, I'd like to give this little kit a try and plant some Cai Xin!

So off I go, this little kit comes with a plastic planter (too small, in my opinion!), some gardening medium (possibly with fertilizer and soil), and caixin seeds.

See! How cute.

Knowing how messy a person I am, it makes perfect sense to plant this kit with a newspaper base:

This way, the dirt wouldn't get all over the place! Okay, you know how messy I am when even after using the newspaper base, I still manage to get dirt all over. Anyway, it's really easy, just pour in the medium, and the seeds... 

Tadah!

Just a spritz of water - and tomorrow's sunshine should do these seeds some good! 

On a side note, the only things I've planted are mung beans - and all the cactus plants I've ever had died (and got overrun by ants) in a few months. I'm so lucky to grow up with a rich supply of vegetables readily available in the market - I don't even have to plant and sow them myself.

Little thought of the day - be thankful for the little luxuries in life - others may not have the simple conveniences you take for granted.

How often I wish we can say Nature is within us. Sometimes, you've just got to escape the hustle and bustle, take a step into the wilderness, and take in the scent of adventure.

There's nothing like a beautiful sunrise. Being able to see the great ball of light rising from the horizon, almost brings tears to my eyes.

And when the sky lights up, the dolphins come out to play... (or rather, feed). Poor dolphins, though... getting chased by the fishing boats I'm sure, is not fun.

And after the dolphins were done with their breakfast, it's time for us to take a dip in the ocean, and observe the beautiful fishes feeding amongst the corals. 

Pray tell, why do I have to be chained here?
