Analysis + Things You Missed

   The trailer starts in a beautiful green patch, but which eventually only turns to a dry, desert-like scene with unresponsive tv channels which read; anger, hate, and love. 

   Could the summery scene represent what once was blooming love, turn into cold hearted, one-sided love? 

   At 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the video shows a war-like and hostile scene. A one-sided battle of love?

Just One Day

Analysis + Things You Missed

   The song ‘Just One Day’ is your average love song. It depicts the scenario where the boys are asking for just a day to submerge themselves in the girls’ overflowing charms. 

   At 1 minute and 8 seconds, the first visual butterfly is seen; the first to appear in the WINGS story.

   Jungkook seems to gracefully let the butterfly go, yet this could possibly mean nothing to the progression of the story. 

   At 3 minutes and 1 second, we see Jin’s silhouette release 6 floating objects with the simplest of a breath. 

   The objects don’t seem to to have wings or move themselves so they could possibly be flower petals; the first depiction of several flowers at once. We know that 6 flowers appearing at one time usually references to the several boys. Could this mean Jin is willing to let his friends go? For love or something else? These still could possibly be butterflies.

   At 3 minutes and 14 seconds, blinds close over Suga. . .could this mean opportunities which used to be opened to him are now closed?

Boy In Luv

Analysis + Things You Missed

   In the opening cut, we can see a glass vase with 3 wilted and dried roses. We know later in the video only 3 of the boys try to charm the girl with flowers. Could these be the same flowers? Wilted before finding potential love or wilted after?

   Before classes start, the girl naturally catches the attention of Jungkook, RM, and then Jin.

   Jungkook seems to run over to meet the girl, but is too late, as she is far down the wing of the school. We notice RM and Suga conversing in the corridor where Namjoon takes a mixtape from out of Suga’s coat pocket. At first I had thought he was going to try to impress the girl with ‘his’ music. After watching, I notice RM uses the mixtape over the intercom as a way to signal to the boys to meet in a certain class-room. Because of this, maybe the boys could’ve been planning this ahead of time. 

   Later, we see Jin drag the girl over to the class-room where all the other boys have already met. We could possibly say he was acting as the ‘wing-man’? He introduces her to Jungkook and Jimin who have also been caught by the girls’ good looks. Instead of individually making a move on the girl as what had originally taken place, they individually serenade the girl, giving her the chance to choose who she liked best herself.

   At 4 minutes and 31 seconds, we see the after-math where all the boys are celebrating with the new couple, jin and the girl.

                       ✦˖ ⁺ ✫₊ ﾞ. ✦˖ ⁺ ✫₊ ﾞ. ✦˖ ⁺ ✫₊ ﾞ. ✦˖ ⁺ ✫₊ ﾞ. ✦˖ ⁺ ✫₊ ﾞ.                        After also having a glance at the concept photos, we see a couple photos where Suga and Jungkook are the two main members focused on. Later along in the progression of the WINGS story, we know Suga and Jungkook are related, but in what way? And why and how are they related now, so early in the beginning? What’s it’s importance?
