Creating A Crystal Clear Vision
Personally, I have experimented with practices that felt good sometimes, but felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere at other times. I did X-Y-Z, now what? While there were true benefits to my practices, there are valid reasons to why they sometimes felt pointless. Its like having a 1000 piece puzzle and attempting to put it together without seeing the original image. You can begin to sort by colors and shapes but after a while it gets frustrating. Its possible to complete the puzzle, but if you have a vision to work with, things will get going smoother and more efficiently.
It all started to click for me once I realized the power of the mind, how it works, and how it relates to why I do the things I do. Deep down we all know the next best step. Regardless of your good intentions that next step will be hard to execute if you have personality traits created by past experiences. Chances are you reacted to those experiences by choosing safety, comfort, or the path of least resistance. No you are not broken or lazy, its your brains job to keep you comfortable and safe. Our brains are AMAZING tools but if you do not consciously choose to go in give it an upgrade it will continue to function on a primal level, doing the bare minimum to keep you alive.
Have you ever really set down and evaluated whats important to you? Your values? Who you want to be? If so, have you ever written it down? Well you should! Think of it as finally seeing the original image of your puzzle. Now you have a place to start and a reason to continue when the puzzle starts to get difficult. Keep in mind I am only using the puzzle analogy to stress the importance of a vision, nothing more! Grab a pen and paper, take time to reflect, and write it out!
Lets go a step further. Here are some questions from my personal favorite, Nathaniel Solace.  Return to you paper and answer these questions. What do you want? Why do you want it? What are you committed to? What are some challenges you may run into while creating this reality? What will you learn from them?  What conditions can be set in place to make your goal inevitable? What emotional states or mindsets will you need to stay on track? How will you know you are making progress and how do you know when you succeed?
How take a moment and examine how you feel now vs before you started the exercise. Now that you have done the work, see if you can simplify it. Come up with a simple affirmation stating who you are, what you are committed to, and why you are committed. Write that down and reflect on it before you start your day, before bed, or whenever you feel the need. Why write this down and look examine it everyday? Until you have taken enough action to make this statement a habit, you will continue to operate from you default mode. Your brain takes the path of least resistance, so to assist your brain in creating new pathways, knowing “why” you are practicing new habits helps you stick to them. In the beginning you will have to choose and empowered relationship with your subconscious mind until it becomes automatic.
If you made it this far thank yourself for choosing you!

Shining Light on Anxiety and Fear
You will need a pen and paper, bonus points for a journal! I have combined to techniques from Mel Robbins and Tim Ferris. Brain Dumping and Fear Setting.
Write down everything that is overwhelming you at the moment, everything you are afraid of or think is holding you back. You might think it will take some time but once you start it gets easier.
Here is the part where you get nice and relaxed and start to journal.
I can not over stress the importance of actually doing this exercise. Writing allows you to get out of your head and look at things from another perspective. You could do this exercise in your head, but it will continue the cycle of overthinking. The exercise will become another thing that you “know” but wont actually receive the true benefits.Writing is one of the easiest ways to take action! Get to it!
As you were writing did you notice how some things started to lose power as so as the were written? Simply reading things as they are, on paper, without the emotions you attach to them really changes things.
No lets dig a little deeper for the ones that did not disappear so easily. I learned this technique from Byron Katie. For the remaining questions ask and reflect on these questions. “Is it true? Can you absolutely know that its true? How do you react when you think that thought? Who would you be without that thought?”
