Jidge Headcanon #3

Colleen decides to distract Pidge from a broken heart by trying to find a new crush for her. Through a few weeks of spying on all the guys at the garrison, she decides on James. And decides to get Sam to help.

Colleen: “Sam, honey?”

Sam: “yes dear?” (She has ‘that’ voice so he knows she’s up to something. And he’s super excited because when Colleen is up to something it’s always interesting.)

Colleen: “I need you to talk Katie up to that James Griffin. I want them to date.”

Sam: “I don’t have to, that boy is already in love with her.”

PI DAY JIDGE

(I know Plancers say PIE means Plance is Everything (which is adorable). But how about this:

It’s PI day in America. James is really really into it. Mostly because Hunk and Kinkade provide the goods. This year however, he gives Pidge a pie. He’s only recently started calling her Pidge amongst calling her Katie and Peanut. He give her a pie and a card that says “Happy PI(E) day! Or as I like to call it ‘Pidge Is Everything (to me) day.’”

Okay But What If? #1

This is courtesy of Nina over in the Jidge discord:

One day, after the MFEs are done training, James catches Pidge looking at the jets, a melancholy look on her face.

He asks if she's okay. She answers “Yes”. But then admits that she misses flying.

He knows she knows the technology inside and out, she having been one of the developers for the new class of MFEs that they’ve been training with.

Cocking his head to the side, he winks and says “race ya.” Then plops his helmet on his head and runs to his jet.

Pidge hollers for Nadia, who brings her helmet back out quickly, giving it to Pidge.

She and James take to the sky, flying smoothly and confidently. Pidge starts to get a little daring, so James ups his game. Soon it is like watching a ballet performed by the jets. Everyone back on the ground is in awe.

They return less than 15 minutes later, having had their fun.

James is totally floored with how amazing Pidge is at flying. He hasn’t had this much fun in awhile.

They both hop out of their respective jets, landing on the ground at the same time. James watches Katie take her helmet off. Her hair is sweaty and stuck to her head, there’s a bright smile on her face. James’ heart starts beating rapidly again, but this time, he knows it’s not from the thrill of flying.

Our Jidge tag on tumblr and AO3 needs a little love. Plus, we want to get you excited for the upcoming mini-Bang this summer.

Let’s stretch our minds and imaginations and write a short story or drabble for our beloved couple James X Pidge.

1500 words or less. Must feature Pidge and James as the main pairing (however you want to work it.) Must feature a promise, a lie, and at least one of them being completely oblivious to their own feelings toward the other.
