A writer in a totalitarian state is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of child-murders being carried out in his town. The Pillowman is a strange, mysterious figure who visits those on the verge of suicide due to the tortured lives they have led. He travels back in time to their childhood and convinces them to take their own lives, to avoid a life of suffering. The Pillowman, first performed to great critical acclaim at the National Theatre starring David Tennant and Jim Broadbent, is a surreal and disturbing black comedy from the writer of the hilarious cult film In Bruges. PLEASE NOTE THIS PRODUCTION CONTAINS STROBE LIGHTING AND GUN SHOTS
