After a falling out with his father and leaving home after high school graduation, Chad finds himself three years later working as a barista in a trendy coffee shop in downtown Del Sol. The drinks are ridiculously high in sugar content and blended within an inch of their life, but he enjoys coming up with new flavors and combinations. Poppy has scored herself a receptionist job at a low ranking gossip magazine based out of the high rise above the shop. After totaling her car, her mother strong arms her older brother into giving her a ride to and from work every day. Valerian just finished his penultimate year at Foxbury studying robotics. He's back home for summer break, now with a sore arm and a new babysitting obligation. Every morning he drops his sister off downtown, and rather than make the drive in and out of the city twice, he walks into the café at the base of the building, orders one black cup of coffee, admires the nice but practiced customer service smile of the man working on the other side of the counter, and sets up his laptop in a quiet corner, working on code for the remainder of the day. Day by day the cute barista's smiles get less practiced, and more genuine, and on one morning, just as everything seems to be going wrong, the man ordering his single cup of black coffee for the day smiles back.

Valerian prefers not to have any smells to distract him while he works, because Chad's cologne makes his brain go stupid. Sunny likes the smell of damp salty island caves, she tells HANSEL that's what adventure smells like. Poppy likes the smell of lazy sunday mornings in Alejandro's house in Selvadorada. Breakfast food she doesn't have to cook and the leftover smell of discounted spiced bodywash floating on the steam coming out of the bathroom after a hot shower. Alejandro's favorite smell is his abuela's cooking. Chad's favorite smell is new designer leather shoes U-U mmm luxury

💭 - How is their mental health? Do they struggle with guilt or shame?

Chad's pretty sturdy mentally, he does have a good amount of guilt tucked away surrounding his father's death and the whole last word he ever said to him essentially being "stay away from me and my family or else" thing. But otherwise he's doing peachy! He finally knows who he is, what he wants, and still can't believe he got so lucky.

⚡ - Does this oc have any unusual or “irrational” fears?

There's always a constant fear of his personal relationship with Val being discovered by either side. As well as the ever present fear that someone would leverage that information against his family or his daughter. Other than that he's really not thrilled about the whole aging thing. He tries not to think about his fear of fine lines and wrinkles just in case the stress causes more wrinkles.

He's a spy baby, he's gonna run straight towards the danger as fast as he can and sock it in the jaw. The whole thinking before you leap thing is totally overrated anyways. What's the worst that could happen?

Poppy has a sort of mental block going when it comes to the general idea of accepting happiness and deserving love. From what we learned from the wacky shit happening in the Angels spinoff so far, is that at some point everything she's built up for herself is either going to be ripped away, or lost.

She's fairly certain she's going to end up hurting the man she loves and thinks that holding him at arms reach and purposefully sabotaging their relationship at points might even trigger it or fulfill whatever terrible cosmic prophecy the watcher's got hanging over her head.

She hasn't even told anyone about what she knows, or what she saw back then- because she's not certain how much of it was even real.

SO - If she had a secret desire it would probably be to wake up one morning, warm in bed, curled up next to the man she loves, quietly watching him as he slowly wakes up beside her, realizing in one small, insignificant moment, that the emotional weight which had parked itself on her chest for xx years had somehow lifted overnight. That was it. Her story is over. She's finally safe, finally free.

This is something I plan on touching on soon (ish-pfft), but Chad's earliest and only memory of his mother is a fractured one, hidden deep in his mind, tucked away with the rest of his baby memories: The flash of a blinding light, tempered by sleeping eyelids; the sharp sound of new heels clicking hurriedly down an old street; the creak and crunch of a borrowed wicker basket never to be returned, and the cold of heavy drops of a sudden rainstorm. They gathered on his little eyelashes, each consecutive bit of rain adding to the ones before it. And when the rain grew too heavy for it's chosen purchase, it would made a break for it, running down his small cheek- swept away like a hand might wipe your tears as you cried.

Day 6: Spy

Couldn't help but make Louis cosplay as Poppy from @theplottdump. Partially because she's just the first spy I though of, and partially because I love this style (and this dress in general) for Louis. I always put it on modern AU Louis, too.

Why is he using a revolver? It's the only gun I could find at the time in my game, but it's also a vibe and I thought it was funny, so I left it.

I devoured your Plott legacy story over the last few days and my god is the writing and composition absolutely stunning. The characters are so in depth and complicated and charming. Each new arc becomes my new favourite (currently obsessed with lil Sunny and her mer bff) and I’m definitely going back to read it all again. I have to thank you too, I was in a bit of sims slump and having a lot of doubts starting and posting my story but you’ve really inspired me to keep going and creating. So thank you!!

I assume you mean this one?? I made it and coded it into Wicked Whims for my personal storytelling use. I had an idea when I get done writing Poppy's side story to release a bunch of WW poses I've made as sort of an experimental test.

If you need it soon DM me and I can see what I can do to help, but yeah right now the cuffs are a build buy object being summoned by wicked and the pose is tied to the system.

(but if its a different one it might just be a WW animation, if you can be specific I can let you know)
