dream journal entry #who knows

i dreamt that there was a march or protest outside our flat (it was the old rented one) and they hit the house with a molotov cocktail and it set fire. i somehow had time to get my cat's carrier plus his dry food and shove lots of snacks into my backpack but not get anything else?

then i had a very weird mixture of people, my old hometown friend group got mixed up with another friend group. also my adoptive grandma's house was a venue for a big event but it was my bio grandma who was there and kind of shunned me. (put some food out for me but she ate it lol) then my bio father and adoptive father switched into each other. also my brother was there as this big saviour (he was way taller than me even though he's shorter irl) we were also running for the train/tram and some stuff with friends.

I actually do feel like the "unemployed friend on a Tuesday" meme actually helps de-stigmatize unemployment because it frequently affirms that when you don't have a job you're more likely to be getting up to some weird shit rather than just lazing around. But I also feel like the unemployed friend is frequently up to some random shit because there's a whole pile of miscellaneous life tasks that full-time employment keeps people from. The unemployed friend is helping their cousin move, or babysitting, or checking in with a neighbor with mobility issues. The unemployed friend is a walking thesis on the inflexibility of our current labor landscape and just how much work exists outside of work.
